Afternoon All,

Poor old Shirl, If I get like her, LOCK ME AWAY !!!! It must be old age :-D :-D :-D :-D POOR SOUL <3 <3

We started of with snow last night, then lashing rain, this morning bright sunshine and cold breeze. If I was SIXTY years younger, I would be out sliding on nthe packed ice. You can almost see your face in it. !!! Won't be going to the pub at lunchtime, daren't trust myself.

Kim, Thats what I had, a cortizone injection 80 mg. I won't feel the benifit of it for a week or so (so he said)

I looked at my bruise last night ;-) ;-) ;-) It must be 12 inches long and 5 inches wide down my right thigh. No pain with it now. and no bumps on my head. !!!

I trust you are all safe and warm. Will. will you make it to the party. be careful with the side roads.

Morning All,

Just wrote a post then caught a key on the keyboard with my cuff and whoooooosh it was all GONE! :-|

The celebrations sound good Kim. I love the Tall Ships and have been to see them a couple of times at different ports here. Methinks you have a few more headaches to come with your daughter. :-S Still, she's full of confidence and optimism isn't she!!

Mel, OH often doesn't shut out door into the porch properly and when we get home open it blows as we open the front door and a gale comes right inside!!

I see that poor little 4 month old baby was a twin and was premature. He was in hospital because of bronchiolitis so may have been finding it hard to breathe anyway, poor little mite. How could anyone even THINK of doing such a thing. They should be banned from any caring job or from keeping any animals.

Shirl, I shall enjoy your card just as much on my birthday. It is July 12th, the same as Julius Caesar's. ;-)

We used a garden centre voucher for brekkie this morning......not bad, 2 brekkies with toast and 2 cups of tea each for less than £5. I swapped the sausage on mine for an extra egg so mine was 2 eggs, 2 bacon rashers, tomato and mushrooms. Back to porridge with berries tomorrow!! :-) The country road to the garden centre was in quite a state. It is another windy, hilly road and was totally clear of all the snow, but the road is shaded with high hedge and trees in places, particularly on the bends and what was puddles on some parts was black ice on others! We saw some people pushing a campavan out of the hedge on one of the verges and OH said it was worse than driving in any of the snow we'd had.

He's managed to find a footie match to go to at Evesham this afternoon!

I hope Fiona is soon rid of those headaches. It has been nice for her to be able to join in again.

Oh dear Shirl. you are getting mixed up with the other Anne (with an e) that used to be on here, her birthday is in January.

On one of your posts Frank you said Ros was going to Te**o for some odds and sods, when I read that it took me right back, my dad used to say that a lot, he even had an 'odds and sods' drawer, come to think of it, so do I.

Aren't you going to London with Chris for a surprise birthday for his 60th this weekend Jane, or did I get that wrong.

Daughter and husband should be here soon so will see you all later.

Jane

I hope you all have a good time tonight Jane and am sure you will all enjy it.

How long is Jess staying with you?

We hav'nt had the heating on at all today. Oh has had a bonfire and I cleared out round the back door as there was still some branches from my wreath making out there. Been too cold to do much outside lately.

Been up th ehsop and bought some of their lovely scones. They are huge and can easily be cut into three slices so fill us both up!! hsve got strawberry jam and clotted cream too........................mmmmmmmmmm

Naughty but nice ;-) ;-) :-D :-D :-D

Annx Report 26 Jan 2013 16:54

Provision is made for them within the prisons David. It came in in 2009 to do with Human Rights.

Mel, they must be big scones to cut in three.........sound lovely. :-)

Hope your meal is good tonight Jane, at least being early usually means quick service.

I don't tend to collect things, but I have always kept the sales brochure for each of the cars I've had since the 1970s. I was pleasantly surprised to see one for sale for £14 for a car I had in the 70s!! Not a bad return on something that was free. The car was my all time favourite, a 1972 Simca 1000 Rallye. The black leather bucket seats helped!

Must get on with my necklace now and order a few supplies.

It's not just Frank and Kim doing a tumble.
Three years ago I accidently slipped in the bath room and fell sides ways full length.
I narrowly missed the WC and jammed between it and the bath room wall.
Ellen had to drag me out by the heels.
My R shoulder hasn't been right since.

Started to rain here just as I was going to corn the chickens after looking at some trees oh wants to cut down. One is the last of the old flowering cherry trees down our road outsid ethe wall. The other is an ash down in our little wood on th eleft hand side of the gateway. Don't think I will miss that one much. the cherry is the last of three that got some blight thing that made them die back.

Evening all,

Not done a thing today, but eat sleep and read. Watched the football at lunchtime.

Ros has been feeling sick all day, she couldn't eat her cerial, this morning, no lunch, and no Chinese tonight. She's just had a piece of toast. I have a big wing of skate cooked in oil and butter. NO CHIPS, just a bit of B & B.

Maureen, SNAP M & D always hadd an odds and sods draw and so do I. I have to clerar it out every so often as it gets full to overflowing. You never know what you might need. !!!

I suppose Jane and family are all feed and watered now, and either home or on their way. Hope they enjoyed it.

Going to play cards for a while. NO LIKEY'S coming on.

Annx Report 26 Jan 2013 22:46

Well, maybe she could still have a headache or say no David! I don't know, but I expect both parties have to be willing. When you think what some are in for I imagine there could be a resounding no!

Well, it is lashing down with rain here now so most of the snow will vanish fast now I expect. OH said that on his way home, even in the village there are signs of floods with big puddles across the roads. already.

Glad you've had a restful day Frank, it does us good at times. I hope Ros feels better soon.

Off to bed now........OH has already gone........he said there wasn't even 1 goal scored at the match.

Night, night.
