What are they going to do about your tooth David?
There is no way we could fork out the amount this job is going to cost David. But we have lots of questions to ask about who is liable for whatever.I will leave that to Chris.......Saying that I am often the one who ends up dealing with these things :-S and I don't have a clue lol.On Thursday though when the next man comes Chris will be here as we are changing provider for the internet .So we may have 2 men here at the same time
:-S Busy day I think. So for some part of thursday I will not be able to use the laptop.
Waiting for Chris to get home from work to tell him the good news :-S :-S :-S

The tooth / crown is OK. It's the root canal starting to go and show in the tissue.
It took 30 years to get to this stage.I'm no longer "young".I think I’ll see it out.Thinking of treating myself to a partial denture.

Have a Hollywood grin :-D

Could you share the expense of any repair work with your neighbour who must have the same problem?

Hi back from shopping ad tired now. I did go up the high street in Bideford and bought myself a nice cotton shirt in a lilac and soft green check. Having paid for that I went deeper into the shop and found some vest tops in white and pale green for £4 each so I bought those to go with the shirt and a pair of snazzy socks!! Love socks with nice patterns or unusual ones.

Jane that dos'nt sound good news on the damp front!! :-S :-S :-S

I hope it is'nt what he thinks it is for your sakes as that sound terribly expensive and disruptive to the whole household. How long is it since you had the extension done?

Frank may I please see the pic of the four of you ?

Annx

Annx Report 3 Jul 2012 19:52

Jane, something isn't right is it. I think damp caused by groundwater causes powdery deposits on the wall, but not certain!! As you say, the experts are the only ones that can tell what the problem is. :-S

I see the next one of the programme Maureen mentioned before is on tonight. We missed the first one as we both thought the other had recorded it. :-D

I like the colours of your new blouse Mel....it would appeal to me too. You reminded me of the fancy socks I used to wear for tap classes!! lol.

Rained almost all day here and OH said the forecast the next few days looks the same. I want to get on in the garden too and bury some soaker hoses before I plant.

Feel peckish now.........maybe beans on toast I think! :-D

Jane

Jane Report 3 Jul 2012 20:07

I am going to build my Ark tonight lol.I just have this ridiculous thought with all this water just a few feet underground that I will wake up one morning and find we have floated away :-S (somewhere nice I hope) :-D :-D

Frank hope the knee is a bit better today.

Shirl and Fiona Are the headaches getting easier yet?

Kim how long before you know the results of your trip to Sydney?
Will they change your medication again?

Wow! it's stopped raining here, so I've hung out some washing, that's sure to make it pour again!!! Frank, I recorded the programme about Bomber Command, as you know I have a personal interest in those brave men and like to glean all the info I can about them. Heavens, the sun is out, be it all for 5 minutes, so I'm off to have a look at it!!!

Frank

Frank Report 4 Jul 2012 12:03

Morning/Evening all,

Liz, I watched Bomber command, what brave men they were. Never knew if they were coming back, but still went on and on and on. One old boy did over 100 missions. A charmed life or what !!!

I recorded the programme on BBC, went to watch it the morning and it came up "FAILD RECORDING" I will have to trry to watch it on I player. If I can find how too. :-D :-D

No rain here YET. but sooo dark, and the clouds seem so low.. As you say Jane quite MUGGY. I am in my underpants, and still very warm. NO I won't be taking them off. !!!!

Ros is out till mid afternoon doing her patchwork up the new Scout hut. Then we have to go to B & #. The postman has broken the letterbox. Why do they try to stuff things through when they know they are to big. ???

RAINING NOW !!!!!

I woke about 6.30 am with terrible cramp in my left calf, the mussle was up behind my knee (WELL ALMOST) I lept out of bed and got my foot on the bathroom floor. As the pain receeded so did the pain in my knee. There may be some connection.

Jane I see you are still with us,!!!! Has the damp got any higher ????

Messing about on Ebay last night, I bought Ros a load more beads, I hope she likes them when they arrive, and can use them in her Jewelery.

Ann, Yes we all (the kids) stood in wonderment, seeing so many Lancasters in the air at one time. and the noise was just a drone. The other tning never to be forgotten were the DOGGLE BUGS. I would watch the flame that came out of the back of them, and listen to the drone of the engines. When the noise stopped and the flame went out, you knew they were coming down. I could always tell how close they would come down to us. Thank GOD We only had our windows blown out twice, I will tell you other stories later.

Time for my shower and shave.

See you later.

Frank, you need to write down your war time memories, I'm sure that lots of people (me for example!) would be really interested to read about what you saw and experienced. I wasn't born till '43, so have no memory at all of the war, but I can remember the aftermath,ie rationing, lack of things that we all take so forgranted today, which went on well in to the 1950's, again the cold house, fire in the sittingroom grate, ideal boiler in the kitchen,(had to be riddled out every morning and relit) rest of the house COLD! washing put through the mangle and hung on a dryer which went up to the ceiling in the kitchen on a pulley! I can remember when my mother had a washing machine, and it was considered absolutely amazing and SO affluent, her friends actually came to look at it!!! also a TV, same reaction from all and sundry! Just a different world I guess!

Morning Mel, Jane, Frank, Liz and all,

Sunny, but windy and cold here today, going to be raining tomorrow.

Long trip yesterday, has really bombed me out. Change in tablets, plus the dosage has been upped. I did forget to tell him other things as we were having a serious discussion about this new carbon tax and politics. I think I should change doctors, lol (seriously no, but you never get into these discussions). Had a nice slice of banana and raspberry bread and a coffee at our little place, then home.

Son is at the club watching State of Origin - N.S.W. lost :-( Daughter is up staying the night at her ex-boyfriend's sister's (I think). Can never be sure where she is these days, but that's where OH dropped her at.

Frank hope the knee is less painful today. Poor Fiona with all that noise going on would not be good for her headaches. Have not heard from Shirl for a few days, hope her headache has eased too.

Jane not liking the sound of your situation at home. How disruptive that will be for the family. Good luck with it all. Don't forget to load the Ark with two of everything. ;-)

Off to watch tv, 10.34 pm AEST

We had some sunshine and I put washing out but I think it has gone now for the rest of the day.

We had the deer out the back again this morning while oh was taking delivery of the new mower( yes another one!) this one has wheels all round and a side shoot to expel the grass cuttings or you can use it as a mulch mower with the side door shut. Too wet to mulch mow but he has cut some grass with it already.

I am just going to see if I have a picture of the deer that is good enough to send to you.
