O Jnae how annoying to have to wait another week before they find out where the leak is coming from. Hope it sod'nt turn out to be a big job!! (that dos'nt sound good does it?)
WEnt shopping today and I shall never go on a Thursday morning again!! :-( :-( it was so busy it was bedlam.
Seen nine or ten of my baby fish in the pond today. I think they are getting braver. Also found a nest of bantam eggs under the box hedge. Nine eggs which have now been taken away and pickled as they were all fresh. Left one in the nest so they go on laying in the same place. Then went over to the bantam house that only has 4 birds in it now at night. 7 eggs in a lovely little nest made by one of last years chicks, all out of the long grass that is growing in there. She had tucked it all round her as she sat on the eggs. I did leave her one though. She may go back to the same place to lay and at least I know where that one is.
Poor Fitz mum, my nan had a bad fall when she was staying with her sisters in aindon once and broke her big bone in the top of her leg. She had to have it pinned and she was 85 then I think. Took a long while to heal. Hope she is more comfortable tonight, poor woman.
Mandy hope everything goes off all right with the knee op tomorrow.

OMG Jane....what a day you have had and poor Fitz and his mum too. He's not having a good year is he. :-S I hope his mum is ok and that she is out of pain now. More hospital trips for him!
Sounds like the plumber is suspecting it might be your drain leaking. What a nuisance having to wait though.
Best wishes to your BIL for tomorrow Mandy. It sounds like he has a while to wait before things get better. Good that your DIL and the baby are doing well. Your son seems to have things in hand!
Frank, lucky you with all the sunshine! It was sunny here till the heavens opened though. OH said the roads were like rivers. I'll see if I can get out on the garden again in the morning. The window cleaners turned up this morning so I did the shopping instead. I have to meet my beading buddies first though as we are all meeting the teacher to deliver our jewellery for the exhibition.
Mel, your hens all seem to be making their own nests and filling them with eggs! Have they been staying out all night to sit on them? I forgot to say yesterday that I hadn't been to Hidcote before.
Off to bed now, hope the rain has cooled it down a bit.
Sweet dreams. :-D

Morning All and Evening Kim,
Ann the banties are out in the garden all day and with the weather like it has been they don't always want to go back to thier houseds to lay their eggs so they lay them where they wish. I just have to go egg hunting or bantam hunting when one is missing.
Been steeming with rain here this morning. I have just seen the robin and he has lost his tail ! and looked very tatty. I hav'nt seen him for a few days so perhaps thats why.
Jane hope the leak is'nt too bad a job and gets sorted quickly.
I wrote this post ages ago and forgot to post it!

Hello all,
Cloudy here, but slightly warmer.
Big Python on my fence this afternoon about 6 feet from the house. Looks like a Diamond Python, I nearly s**t myself when I saw him slithering down the fence. I thought they would be in hibernation by now. Don't know if he's someone's pet that's escaped. The poor thing will be cold tonight - he curled up on the branch that's next to the window. OH called the reptile park, but they weren't too interested. Not sure if he's sick or injured. Hope he wriggles away to a warm place tomorrow. :-S
So sorry to hear about Fitz's mum Jane. Those injuries are terrible for a lady of her late years and so stressful for Fitz too.
Joy our elderly neighbour might be coming home soon. She'd better be sensible this time around, no more falls or doing silly things. She is recovering well and is more "with it". I think the infection must have been affecting her thinking. She wears an medi alert necklace, but won't press it if she needs help. :-S Must send her daughter round the twist.
Off to have my cuppa. Have a good day, sounds like your weather is improving. 9.53 pm AEST

Saw on the news last night the north was really getting battered with storms, it mentioned Leicester too Ann. The tax return is still blank, it was such a lovely day yesterday I spent the whole day in the garden and have been up in the loft today ...... sorting ........ must get back up there soon, I've left upstairs in a right mess.
Those deer sound like a nuisance and there was me stressing about slugs and snails eating the plants.
OMG Kim a python, I would definitely have pood my pants, would have been worrying all the time that it had found a way into the house. I don't think I could live in Australia, I'd be a nervous wreck.
Son popped in, said he only had 20 minutes, found the cause of the leak within five, the dishwasher, he pulled it out and there's a slow drip coming from the washer bit, it must have been dripping for weeks as the cabinets have absorbed the water and have swelled, the kitchen is now a complete mess as the dishwasher and a cupboard have been pulled out, got to wait for it all to dry out, and to top it all I've got to do the washing up :-0 still it could be worse it could have been the fridge freezer, I can live without a dishwasher for a while. Perhaps I should send him up to you Jane :-D :-D
Loved all the jokes Frank, some really made me laugh out loud.
Well, I'd better get back up and sort out the mess upstairs, hope everyone is feeling better today. Chin up Sheila things could be worse, Beryl and her girls could give My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding girls a run for their money :-D

Still there, up the tree. I've just had another look. At least I know where it is. Maureen I put a pic on Facebook for all to see. I really need a new computer, this one is playing up so much atm.
Will have to send a photo. It is in beautiful condition, that's why I think it is someone's pet. If I was well enough, I would have a pet snake set up in a tank with lights and all the other bits, BUT I would have trouble storing and thawing out mice to feed it.

Hi at last. Haven't been able to connect to the internet ALL DAY. I posted this morning but up came the error notice. I have shut everything down THREE times. I just came on and got connected.
Kim, I think I would have s##t myself as well, would it be big enough to take a pet cat ?? Have you started to wear your scarf yet.???
What a day, Wind blowing a gale and black clouds rolling over the skies. Trees bent in half. Poor little Blue Tits are having a job getting into the nest box, and the box is bending on it's pole. Just saw a babies head poking out, saying "WHERE'S MY FOOD"
Hows things with Fitz Jane. ??
We are going to Toddington for 6.00 pm. Lewis is taking part in a play at school. He's got a part in "ANNIE". We will then have a take away with the family, and bring Lewis back with us till Sunday. Conrad will pick us up and then Harvey, and off we will go to Wembley. After that we will get a bit of luch somewhere. I hope to take them round some of the old sites of London, if I can still find them. and perhaps show them where I was Born. will have to see how time goes.
All these leaks !!! Glad you found yours quickly Maureen. Looks like a bigger job for Jane.

Afternoon one and all I have kept off here today so I could get some jobs done. Frank I just had the Error thing once yesterday.Touch wood I haven't had much trouble recently with the site. Maureen ,at least you know where your water is coming from now.It does cause so much blood* damage doesn't.Who knows it could even been our Dishwasher too.The chap yesterday was telling me of a man whose lounge carpet was soaking and it was caused by the dishwasher in the next room. His carpet was wet in the middle.Who knows when we will get it all sorted :-S.I'm trying not to think about it too much now as I can't do anything about it. Just going to sort some dinner out so will be back in a while.
Fitz will be going in to see his Mother tonight.I am assuming she will have had her op now.
OMG Kim there would have been an awful lot of dirty pants if we had all seen your Python :-0 :-0 :-0do you many of them? I always thought of them in Jungles for some reason lol.How scary for you. It's when I hear things like that it makes me glad I live here :-D

My cousin, who at the time lived in the Blue Mountains, (now lives in Brisbane) used to get Funnel Web Spiders in their loo on odd occasions!! apparently you had to be careful as a bite on the bum could be extremely nasty!! Her son, when he was a little boy, came to see us on one of their trips to the UK, and nearly had a fit when my mother calmly picked up a spider in her hanky, and threw it out of he window!! he was convinced that she would be bitten and die! he got seriously upset and took a lot of calming and reassuring that in England spiders are NOT poisonous! I know that my other cousin (former ones sister) has found snakes under their house in Melbourne! They always get someone to remove them, and seem to take it all very calmly! not sure it would do for me though, think I'll stick to Wiltshire! Chest freezer now in utility room, life gets easier every day!!

A few months ago workmen had to open up the main drain out on the road outside our house.,and I saw a few rats!!.I did check the loo Mandy before I sat lol Glad the op is done now for your BIL.Lets hope it has all gone well. Not a place he wants to spend is 70th Birthday :-S I had KFC with Fitz and my Sister when she was staying with me.I must say I really enjoyed the chicken(fillet). But not the chips. My Mum loved KFC and once in a while my Dad would drive the 10 miles to pick up a Take away for her.
Liz you sound a happy bunny now :-D I bet you can feel your stress levels diminishing day by day.
Ann those poor people with dented cars :-S :-S.We had no storm,no hail ,no thunder and no heavy rain.It missed us again :-D.It has been quite a nice day here except for that wind.I had to pick a couple of pots up that had blown over.
Dinner at 8 here tonight .It is all cooked and keeping hot but 'Sir' isn't ready yet.Just my normal Skinless Chicken Breasts wrapped with Pancetta and the tray baked veg and potatoes.
