Ellen hates thunder and lightening. She was sitting in the back bed room while it was going on. Three months rain in as many hours. It's strange, there's people praying for rain, and it lands here. The shoes I wore to Te£sco will tale a couple of days to dry.
Those fortunate enough to be in work on the buildings would have been rained off.
The Grainger Market in the city centre was closed as all the aisle between the shops was a torrent.

Like you Mel, still home alone.
Lewis is only up fot two nights. He packs up school on the 21st and goes of to France on the 23rd for almost six weeks. What a lucky boy he is. <3 <3 <3 He says today is back to front day. Yes means No. and so on. To confusing for me, thats why he is out with Ros.
Pat, Lewis will leave Toddington School at the end of term and will have to get a bus to his new school over the M 1 and down to the right. Don't know the name yet. but will let you know.
It's tonight when they close the M 1 Jcn 13 to 11. to demolish the bridge. They say it will be open Sunday afternoon. Will have to wait and see on our way back from London.

Well here I am at last today. The Internet has been on and off like a Yoyo :-S I got fed up trying so gave it up as a bad job.Touch wood we seem to be fine now.One good thing was it allowed me to watch some of the Tennis. You not off to France too then Frank? Is it to their Static Mobile Home that Lewis is going?(not sure if Static Mobile sounds right) :-S
It has been very warm so far today with lots of sun .Now we are just having a heavy shower. It's still very windy though.
Fitz's Mother has come through her hip op.He went to see her earlier this afternoon and has now gone off for the night to stay with an old family friend. It will do him good. It's an elderly couple who were actually friends of Fitz's parents. He is a retired surgeon. He told James they would do a great dinner tonight and raid the wine cellar .(not sure he should have said that to Fitz lolol)Then he will be coming home tomorrow morning. I bought a sweet little outfit today for little Baby William.Mum and Baby have now gone home.Sadly she had to let her 2 little dogs go as she new she wouldn't be able to cope with them ,and a new baby and have Chemo. The dogs have gone back to the breeders so that is good .Much better that than to a dogs home. She will get the results of her CT scan on tuesday and will then know how much the cancer has spread. We are all praying and hoping it hasn't got to her bones or brain.Just know it is in the Liver. Janice is a wreck at the moment .It is just all a bit too much I think .Plus her daughter and OH are having major problems :-S :-S and she still has her bad leg to cope with too.I have to she is a brick :-D :-D
I must get a cold drink .I'm parched.

Big shout for William!!!!!.No he hasn't been around just lately.I seem to remember him saying lots of things going on and maybe not in a good way :-S Fingers crossed all is well.
There has been a white van parked right on the pavement outside next door for 2 days now.It blocks the whole path and yet there is a layby just a few feet away.It blocks the view of the road as we pull out of our drive. :-S :-S Grumble Grumble :-|
Olympic flame comes through Kettering on Monday :-D I might just try to get to see it.But all roads closed and it is a fair old walk to where I could see it.I said to Fitz did he fancy coming with me .His answer was PAH NOT INTERESTED .Miserable old so and so lol.I told him I have a nice flag he could wave.I got a dirty look :-D The weather doesn't look promising either for the first few days of July.I just want it to be dry next Saturday when I go to London to see Hannah. Her Boyfriend John is enjoying his trip to Japan. He has one more week there.I bet they are missing each other :-(
Kim thank heavens your Python has gone :-D...far away.We have the heebie jeebies if we see a grass snake lol. Thanks for your envelope It is on the Mantelpiece until the 6th.Promise I won't open it.
I have decided Chester stinks :-S.He has that real old doggy smell about him ,so one job tomorrow is a definite shower for him.(I haven't told him he smells.....don't want to hurt his feelings lol)

Talking about wet footwear. Many years back I bought a pair of boots that were the right size but were crippling me.
I phoned my brother who was then a serving soldier. I asked him how do you break a new pair of boots in? Pi$$ in them was his immediate reply. So I pi$$ed a pint into each one and stood the at the back of the down stairs toilet for a few days. Then I tipped the P down the pan. My new boots were shapeless and took a week to dry. I never did get rid of the smell :-S

Evening all,
Its been another nice sunny day ,but still very windy .
Came down this morning to make a cup of tea and work top was covered in ANTS!!! they were every where , followed the trail and noticed they were coming in near the back door so sprayed and i think we have got rid of them , we haven't had ants in doors for several years now ,i wondered if it was all the wet weather that's driven them in . I keep checking to make sure there's no more , it makes me crawl just thinking about them.
Been to see BIL and he seems fine after his op, they were hoping to get him on his feet today , his knee is in a funny looking splint ,all strapped up so it keeps his leg straight .
Poor Ellen scared of the storm , i know some one who shuts herself in a cupboard when we have storms because she is so frightened. Poooo David ,did you wear the boots after doing that ?
Reminds me of the time when my nieces husband had a motor bike and some thing on it caught fire ....there was no one about so he wee'd on the fire to put it out :-S :-S :-D

Evening all,
Lewis is being , we would put it in a pain in the ar## with this opposite day. !!!! He wanted Sweet and Sour chicken Hong Kong Style for tonight, then he said"Can I have a hot curry sauce" when I questioned it. he said OPPOSITE DAY.Ros said she's had it all day. He said It's pappy's day tomorrow. :-0 :-0 :-0 Little SOD
David, I know when in the RAF. to shrink our beret we wouild fill two sinks one with BOILING WATER and the other with COLD. We would dunk them from Hot to cold till they fitted. Never heard of the Pi$$ one. I think he was having your leg over :-D :-D :-D
I was going to have F & C tonight but Ros rang to say they were closed till mid July. So she got me some Chips from the Chinkie and I did myself two eggs and slices of fresh ham. SMASHING. !!!
Sorry to hear about the ant problem. I have them all over the lawn.
Glad the knee op went allright.

White rabbits and a pinch and a punch for the first of the month.
Morning /evening all,
Well after quite a nice day yesterday it is wet, dull and a it breezy here today.
Would you beleive it the sun has just come out!! :-D :-D :-D as I was typing.
David I have heard about stretching your boots like that before so there may be some truth in it. Did they fit better after you had done it? :-S
Do you remember some time ago I said oh had put the cusions to the swing seat we bought mum, in the old shed because being in the caravan over the winter had rotted the underlining? Well he washed all the swing down the other day and had decided to put wooden slats on it so it could be used in all wethers. I told him I would reline the underside of the cushions and he said I would never do it. Anyway he left the swing where he had washed it and did nothing more to it. Yesterday while he was out ringing for the two weddings I managed to get to the cusions in the old shed piled with rubbish. I had bought a green bed valance to use for the lining. Found that and it fitted perfectly across the whole cushion twice with a bit over. I did one cushion while he was out and did the other when he went to bed. I was up till quarter past two to get it finished. I shall put them on the swing before he gets back from ringing this morning, weather permitting.
