Frank how nice for the boys to give you that lovely present of dosh to help with the boiler and bless Lewis how sweet of him to want to help too :-D :-D
I often keep my Sunday dinner keeping warm.I turn the top oven on to a really low heat and bung it all in .The only things I don't keep warm are things like runners and veg like that as it just goes all limp and floppy.(very unappetizing :-S).Did your Yorkshires end up as flat as pancakes? :-S
I bet Pat ,OH and Mocha have arrived at their holiday destination now and will be all settled in.

Evening everyone,

Its lovey and sunny outside now but we've had heavy showers most of the day.
Frank, what thoughtful boys you have ,helping you out with the boiler expense !!
I should imagine the yorkshires ended up like frisbies ,having to keep them hot all that time ,what a shame.
We use to see lots of gliders here ,but now there's none , they don't go up from Swanton Morley any more ,they looked so graceful as they twisted and turned on the wind .

Glad to hear the wedding went well Maureen and your shoes were comfortable after all the stretching ,looking forward to seeing the photo's soon.

We should be grandparents again by this time next week :-D :-D

Well I have been very poorly with a bad back and shoulder and not been able to get on the computor at all. I was having my foot done by a nurse when this lady walked into my lounge Ryans sister Erica from America who was working for a week at the NEC Bham and she decided to visit us and stayed. It seems Erica went into the shop and my ho let her into the lounge. There I was with my foot on the coffee table having my big toe nail done too painful to do myself by a health visitor.

ERICA was very attractive tall in a suit with a very low top and with her jacket undone one could see a great deal of her top part which had my hubbies eyes out on stalks. There was a long silence while I removed
my foot into my shoe and said who are you. Erica said Ryans sis and have I called at an inconvenient time. Lying I said no .
Well she stayed the night and next morning was sat in my kichen in a black house coat with huge red poppies on it her hair in massive rollers and wearing Miss piggy slippers on her feet.
The Americans do not say Les they say Less and she called Les Less and I could have killed him she said nice to meet you Less and he said
my name is Les love but I get treated like a Less so not to worry .Ericas husband is called Cecil or SEACILL thats how they proniunce that .
I thought she said his name was seasalt and had to confirm with Michelle who is off work for a few days and found the whole thing very amusing.

Maureen I am so pleased your daughters wedding went off well would love to see the photoes.
Pat enjoy your holiday and little Mocca.

Jane the pork must have been lovely.

Well must dash now I am going out to dinner with my son Michelle and hubby for fathers day. Will catch up thread reading later.

Quick post tonight, sorry you've not been well Sheila. A GET WELL to anyone on here who is not feeling so good lately, still a but chesty myself.

Lovely Fathers Day, made extra super because the 3 great grandchildren were there, super smashing, loved it. Ralph (3) helped me open my F D parcel. First thing out was a Terr*s chocolate orange, he thought we should start by eating that, but his Mummy said no, he would soon be having his dinner, followed by if you eat all your dinner you can have some cake! Seems like a good lesson in bribery and corruption to me!
He is a great little character. Lovely meal, lots of chat and one happy bunny here.
Oh I must tell you this. Ralph made a card for his Mummy at the playgroup, stuff like letters and animals on it, horse, sheep, pig, then did what kids do, scribbled on it with crayons. Mummy asked, "What are these blobs under the animals noses Ralph" - to which he replied "That's snot". Where on earth do children get these things from, seems you have to watch your P's & Q's!!!
Today saw us back at the carpet shop (again). This is an on going saga which I will reveal to you when we finally have the right thing on our kitchen floor and I can put all the furniture, et all back where it belongs for one final time!! Our dodgy week is turning into a dodgy fortnight!
Catch up with you all soon.

William thank you for your concern about me I hope you feel less chesty soon this weather is not good it brightened up a little today.I left a tin of nuts outside and the squirrel is sat eating them out of the tin.

Your Ralph sounds lovely children do say some funny things.
APRIL asked how old grandad was is he a 100 yet.

I hate carpet shops I once was hit on the head by a zeolous saleman carrying a carpet on his shoulder he turned and bonked me on the head
nearly knocking me out. have a nice evening.

Pat glad you arrived ok. Shame about the fence for Mocha.

Maureen so pleased everything went off ok for your daughter and your shoes were comfy. Nothing worse than shoes hurting your feet on a special day.

Sheila sorry to hear you have now hurt your back. I hope it gets better quicker than your poor leg did.

Went shopping this mrning so I could have the afternoon in the garden. Still did'nt get up the border as a friend called in for oh to cut some tin for him as he could'nt find his snips. He wanted it for the top of his stable doors so wanted a good cut on the edge.

Frank what a ncie surprise the boys gave you. Lucky chap.

This is the first day we hav'nt had rain for ages. Just a few spots about 10pm then it did'nt happen. Stars are all out here now.

Off now so see you all in the morning.

Evening All,

I'm late today. Just been reading about the development of over 4,000 houses they want to build a mile from here. There is another public meeting in the village on Wednesday so I may go. It will be bedlam through the village if it goes ahead! There are no carparks there and the streets are very narrow. We already get snarlups waiting to access the motorway and retail park too. :-(

What a kind gesture from your sons Frank......good uns aren't they! Even Lewis wanting to help too.

Pat, I hope the weather stays good for you and that you are unpacked and settled in now. Did you see the statue of Eric at Morecambe? lol. It will be nice at Malham tomorrow for your meeting.

I'm glad the rain stopped in time for the wedding Maureen. Good job you managed to stretch your shoes in time as well.......hobbling would not have been a good look with your new frock, nor would pulling a face on the photos!!! lol. Looking forward to seeing any pics when you have time to send them. I bet you do feel a bit flat after the months of planning and preparation. You need a new 'project' now.

I hope Fitz gets his mind put at rest Jane......I think I would be imagining all sorts if I were him too. I remember with my op that a big part of my tum was numb for ages (a bit still is) and as the feeling improved I felt all kinds of twinges, stabs and aches, some quite deep ones. It went on for over a year as well. At least a scan would be reassuring.

Off to my bed now, more gardening in the morning while the rain holds off.

Night, night x

Say what you will, the Countryside is still, the place that I will settle down etc etc.

Glad you have a nice day Mel.

I was up at 5.45 am went for a wee and stayed up. Got a cup of tea and sat in the sunshine. Gone overcast now. Forcast was suppose to be good today and tomorrow, with more rain Thursday (which is the longest day of the year) Will we ever get a summer. ????

Ann, Do you think the planning will go ahead for all those houses, it does seem a lot for one development !!! I know there are plans for more houses in Northants but not in such numbers. Our village anly allow planning for fill in houses.

We now have cleared the weeds from the stones around the pound/shed/greenhouse. I am going to spray with a very strong weedkiller and hope to keep the blighters at bay.

The next big project will be, emptying the pond, and starting from scratch. We lost all our fish last year. and it's covered in "DUCK WEED" Then we can add a few fish as we go along.

Don't forget ENGLAND are playing tonight 7.45 pm kick off on ITV

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 19 Jun 2012 11:55

Oh Frank sorry to hear you lost al your fish. That duck weed is hell to get rid of. Mum had it in her little pond before oh built the big pond on the same site. He would'nt have any plants from the old pond in the new one for that reason. Let me know when you have it ready and I will send you some cuttings of pond plants.

Morning all
I have been a busy bee weeding some of the veg and being careful not tread on something new that Chris just planted :-S

I had a man turn up about half an hour ago asking if we wanted the big tree at the front lopped.I have a feeling he was a traveler ,not just because he had an Irish accent. He was asking a lot of questions about Chester like what breed is he is he a good worker, unusual dog.It made me a little uncomfortable and made sure he knew Chester is an old boy and doesn't run or chase.I hear of so many dogs that go missing from gardens.

Frank what a shame you lost all your fish :-(.We used to have Koi many years ago but we gave them to next door to go in their lake and we filled our pond in.

The sun is shining for most of the time here :-D :-D.I'm making the most of the washing line too.Towels all out now and bedding to follow.

Pat what a pity Mocha can squeeze through the fence. But I'm sure he will get all the excersise he wants when you are all out and about :-D :-DNice that the sun was shining for you when you arrived yesterday.

Poor Sheila. You have not had a good time lately have you with your foot and now your back and shoulder.Fingers crossed you are up and running soon..
Ryan's sister must have looked a honey in her rollers ,slippers and house coat lol

Hi I need to stay on this page I did think about going back pages but if I do that I loose the latest ones it is crazy what am I doing wrong.

Well yes Jane I had a good cry a few days back I woke up with a huge black lump on the side of my groin and went straight down to the doctors already had my knee hurting and then my shoulder and the top of my back. When I stood up two days ago my back went so weak I nearly collasped into the chair. So what is happening. I stopped going to Beryls they were getting stupid. Donnie is flirting all the time with Pandora
her husband is not happy. Poor Beryl smiles and tries to keep cheerful but I told her the other day get rid of him. I said you do nothing but scrap
and argue and do not seem to respect each other. Oh that went down well she called me something I cannot repeat.

I went all the way to Stratford to see Annie she was bit by a fly the name I cannot pronounce will have to look it up but it laid some kind of eggs
in her skin and her leg is dreadful shes having three injections a week and takes five anti -biotic tablets which give her terrible head aches Fiona
Annie was planning some trip to Africa to help build water supplies to villages and the doctor told her you must not go until that leg is well and
her leg does look dreadfully infected. Well she was moaning saying she felt like ending it all and I am afraid I said to her you are getting older now
and this is a warning to stop going to these remote places. I got a similar response from her like I did Beryl.

I decided I have enough problems of my own Jessica is not very happy.
It seems theres been some very strange people around someone took her washing off the line in the back garden. Ryans trying hard to get her to the mainland he says himself unless you have loads of money and
can talk about everything locally the people do not seem very friendly.

April seems happy she still goes and helps in the store and it was little Mats birthday he was one at the end of May and she bought him a little
bouncy Rat . I had a giggle I said a rat April she said yes he is called Roland that was a relief . I did laugh because she added I am stressed out grannie I never want to see popcorn again I had to put it on the self
all day and could not eat any. I was temped but I said to myself popcorn
thought be gone. I said did it work she said No I took a huge bag home Mr Himee gave me I was just about to eat it and mummies hand came over me and stole it. I am dibillerstrated. I said I often feel like that
dibillerstrated April.

We cannot go to America for two years we should have saved enough by then all being well. my husband said I cannot take out anymore loans.
Sometimes you have to accept you cannot do these things.

I hope Pat Mocha hope I got the name right for a change will be ok my little dogs loved there holiday and the Dales are lovely my favourite place is Dovedale thats if its the same Dales.

FRANK fish to seem to die off in ponds we had two lots of fish in a pond they did well at first but then just died. We had one fish a carp it was the only one left for ages then one day I saw a cat devouring it on the path.
My hubby said the fish had jumped out he saw it. I said why did you not put it back then he said it looked sick how do you know if a fish looks sick.
I hope the new ones do well in your lovely garden. I would love to live in the country.
Ann they seem to build houses everywhere and there are so many unrented ones round here going to waste. I know how you feel.Nine in our lane all empty to let. They have been like that a year now. The owners all are hoping the students will come back .

I said to Ryan last night on the phone your sister came and he laughed when I said she stayed the night Jane do you think he had seen her in the morning she left one Miss Piggy slipper.

Mandy with all the rain this year it is still a bind not being able to fill pools and use hoses I forgot the other day and was hosing our front and a lady said hey you do you not know there is a water shortage. I got so mad there is a dripping spout in our front and there was a bucket undernearth it
so I picked it up and chucked it all ove the front. The women got her tootsies wet and scurried off.

I still get twinges where I had my kidney operation many years ago
Sometimes the scar itches .I am fed up with my body.
I am trying to trace a relative a friend of my dads who was in the RAF at the library but now I am in less pain can do it on here.
I found a old Su/nligh/t So/ap// tin the other day in amongst mums stuff
very rusty but it cleaned up nice.
Well will have to go hope our SHIRL AND KIM are ok
Makes me feel a bit better coming on here knowing other people do not feel well or have problems.
Badly need my holiday in Ireland. Just hope the weather is nice for it.
Will be watching England waving my little flag I pinched from the JUBILEE party little Lottie is coming shes got Downes Syndrome but she loves the football it is better than watching it on my own and shes such a love she was fourteen last week and her daddy took her to Disneyland Paris I opened the door and she thrust a huge Mickey Mouse teddy in my arms he was on the setee but got sent into the kitchen by ho. It said when squeezed Hi am Mickey my hubby said oh this stupid Mouse will not be Mickey if you leave it on that chair. He threw it on the floor twice saying here Jasper fetch.
