Mel, they seemed to appreciate what we'd done, but probably went and had a close look after we'd gone!!! lol. It is such a new idea to them it will take a week or two for them to get used to it I think........then they will probably wish they'd done it years ago! lol It would have saved them so much work as their soil is heavy clay and they won't use a hoe for weeding like I do.....they don't like any cut off weeds left on the surface so it is a hands and knees job. Good that the little bantam has forgotten about being broody and is with the others now.
Up early again tomorrow, not with the lark like Mandy though, window cleaners day. Then washing put out and more garden jobs I think while there is a gap in the rain. :-D
I've never heard of an omelette mate David.....enlighten us!
Kim, I hope you are feeling a bit better again, you must wonder what will happen next with all your health problems. It can't be easy for you. Stress doesn't help as you say.......don't think I could cope with teenage parties!! You must wonder who rules the roost at times with your little minx!! :-D
Off to bed now ....night, night x

Omelette Mate was sold in food shops. It was in a small tin.Made an excellent addition to eggs when making an omelette.Varicose flavours were available.Haven't seen it on the shelves for a long time.
I used to be able to do any thing with an egg other than lay one :-)

Morning All, and Evening Kim,
Oh is in the bathroom and I have left my glasses in there. I am wearing my old pair that was in the desk draw and the keyboard looks like it has a bend in it. That is up in the middle and down at the sides. Another dry day and the ground is dry too which means it has'nt rained int he night.
As it is dry I may not go shopping today but leave it till we have a wet day. I really need to water the tunnel as I hav'nt done it for two days!!
David I seem to remember Omlet Mate. Did'nt it come in a yellow and red box??? Don't need it now as I have 28 Omlet Mates out in the garden.

Oh dear Jane, that could be the second leaky pipe this year then! I hope it will be easy to fix if it is.
I bet Mandy is staying close to the phone. :-D
David, I've never had any of that, it must have passed me by. I want some to try now. lol :-)
Very good Mel. lol .....28 omelette mates!! I am doing some more of the garden when I've drunk my cuppa. I went to do the shopping first thing as I didn't want the window cleaners seeing me in my mucky garden clothes!! lol. Typical.... they DIDN'T TURN UP!!!! I bet they come tomorrow now when we are out for the day to visit a National Trust place. The weather forecast is supposed to be good. Washing's flapping on the line, so better get busy now . I have a wrestling match due with the soaker hose. BBL.

Afternoon All.
Forgot to mention. the new Glass's I had a couple of weeks ago. Saturday evening, I went to the bedroom to get undressed, took my glass's off, laid them on the bed, and SAT ON THEM. broke the glass and in the glass is the arm attachment.
Went to Tesc# today. CAN'T BE REPAIRED. New ones £300.00 Contacted the Insurance Co. £225.00 excess. Do I make a claim, or make do with my spare pair. Won't forget JUNE in a hurry. !!!
Congratulations Jane on the new addition. Just hope now the JO recovers from the dreaded Cancer. Keep us posted.
Anything happening MANDY ???
What a total let down Englands performance was. They were great for the first 15 minutes. then it all went pear shaped. They just aren't WORLD CLASS.
Ros was at the hospital this morning, sge has to have the camera up her bum. Not sure what they call it. She has to go in 9th July 2.30 pm should be about 2/3 hours. Hope Carolyn can take and fetch her, as she will have to be sedated, and won't be able to drive.
We called in at B & @ to look at the reduced plants. She pick out the best from each box, and ended up with 84 bedding plants for £6.00. She's in thne garden planting them now.

Oh Frank what are you like :-S :-S.I don't know what to suggest. How good are your spare pair of specs? Ros will be having a Colonoscopy.Same as Maureen the other week.
Fiona your headaches must be getting you down now. :-SI hope they go or get sorted soon.
No news from Mandy. The baby must be here by now.I bet it is really hectic with all the excited G Children.
I have seen a pic of our new baby. Can't show you this one as my Nephew is holding him and I'm not sure he wants his face passed on lol.I will send one as soon as I can.Not sure what baby will be called but i think it might be William but known as Billy. He looks so cute and so small!!!!
I think our leak could turn out to be a digging up of the floor job :-S :-S :-SI think I might emigrate if that has to be done.Kim can I come and stay with you :-D :-D
A rabbit had a very lucky escape this morning.I was driving down our road and it shot out from the verge .I expected to feel a bump ,but it must have got through between the front and back wheels. My heart was in my mouth.Bet its was to lol
Ann I hope your in laws are very grateful to you both for putting all the bark down.I'm sure they will soon realise how much better it will be for them.
Pat how on earth will you manage to chose and catch which fish you decide on to give to the shop?
I haven't really read through all the threads properly today so sorry if I haven't commented on all posts.Just realised James is in the shower getting ready to go to work.He is in the office in Northampton this week and next, but I think he has forgotten to make up a couple of rolls so i better get on and do it for him. Pat ,yes it was fine with the money .It was the G Sons (phew) lol.I wonder how that situation will work out?I feel sorry for the lad really as he has had a really rough road since his Dad was killed in a car accident and his Mother doesn't want him.He is so mixed up and has anger problems. He is 19 now and I remember him as a lovely little boy .Sh** happens doesn't it and it is just never fair. His younger brother has gone right off the rails :-S
We have our courgettes coming along nicely.I said to Chris "this one looks like it growing into a Ball ".He told me to look at the tag and it is a Ball Courgette lol Never seen them that shape before.

Jane, My spare specs are the same apart from not being Photochromic lenses. They are the 2nd pair of BOGOF.
I feel for that young lad, it can't be good when you are not wanted by your mother I had no love shown to me by mine, but at least we were clothed and fed.
Those plants Ros got from B & # were two thirds off. so she got £18.00 worth for £6.00. All in the garden now and she has watered them in.
JANE, What have you been doing ??? all that work in the garage. Is it the mains that is leaking ??? if so Anglia water should come and sort that out. Worth a try.
We have seen quite a few baby bunnies on the verge. They look so tiny, I suppose a few will go my the wayside, trying to dash over the road.
David that Egg stuff, was it Powdered Egg. ??? that all we could get during the war.Thankfully, we kept a few hens and breed Rabbits for the table.

Frank this leak has been happening for a couple of years .But we just realised how bad it is after moving everything out from this end of the garage. It was all hidden :-S.We will have a surveyor or someone sent out from Nationwid*to investigate and I reckon things will then kick off big time :-S :-S I'm trying not to think about it really. Must dish up dinner now :-D

Ooooh, congratulations Mandy and welcome to little Lacey Mae. I bet your son will be ready for his bed too by the time he has dealt with the little ones!!
Lol Jane.......I bet Chris rolls his eyes at you and his veg!! lol It was coloured carrots last year wasn't it? :-D I don't like the sound of a digging job with the leak......is it where the water main is? I know years ago when mum had a leak, who paid for the repair depended on whether it was within her boundary or not. Lucky for her it was just outside her front wall. At least you aren't on a water meter Jane.......it's one of my dreads that we end up paying for water leakage we don't know about.
Frank how sickening to break your specs like that......new ones are so expensive too. Could you try superglue on them.....nothing to lose.
Well, it's been kicking off in the close this afternoon!! More bad news on the 'house' front. The old man whose long garden will border the housing estate they are putting on the field is now selling half his garden and the builder who built ours will add another bungalow each side at the bottom of the close. So the builder and a colleague were in the close with a tape measure this afternoon and were just trampling all over our neighbours front garden (the end bungalow diagonally opposite us). It seems that he thought he owned some of their front garden and not just the width of the road where it stops at the end!!! At the finish the lady who lives there was telling him to GET OUT as he was trespassing and to LEAVE at once!!! We 4 bungalows at the bottom of the close are responsible for maintaining the end bit of road where we are, but what is the position if the builder starts bringing big lorries and diggers along it and causes damage and makes a mess of it? Anything tall will snap branches of the pine trees too. As OH said we seem to be being marched upon from all sides!! :-S

Crumbs Ann ! I had forgotten about the coloured carrots lol.He rolls his eyes all the time at me.I'm beginning to think he has an affliction lolol I think the leak might be coming from one of the pipes that feed a radiator.I just don't know. It's all guess work from my end.We have got more and more depressed talking about it tonight. So in the end I just told Chris to shut up and go to bed.(which he has just done :-D).We will just have to wait until we know what the heck is going on. We are due to go on to a water meter shortly. I feel for you with all the business of new houses :-S :-S :-S.As you know we are in the same kind of position.Several of our neighbours are wanting to sell of the bottom of their properties but as I said the other day it all seems to have gone very quiet now. That plant you gave me(with red flowers) is just coming into flower now.Chris has tied them up with string as they are looking quite heavy. Will send you a pic when it's in full flower :-D :-D
