Morning /Evening Everyone on a wet and soggy Jubilee Pageant Day :-S
There will be a lot of droopy bunting this morning after all the rain we had in the night.
What a shame it has turned out like this. But I'm sure a bit of rain won't spoil the day for all those who are taking part and turning out in London.
I will be watching it all from the warm and dry comfort in my lounge.
:-D :-D

Morning Jane and All and evening Kim,

Wet here too but our celebrations are in the village hall at the top of our drive. We let the children play on our front field but I don't think they will be out in this weather. There is a bit of a breeze too which is quite chilly.

We are not going as we have lunch booked at The Half Moon pub in Sheepwash with oh's two sisters, one sisters hubby and their two children.

Just going to wash my hair. Hav'nt read your posts yet as was out all day yesterday. Oh bought me two more miniture lillies for the new pond.

I have just taken some pictures of our baby blue tit which has just left the nest in our extracter fan over the cooker! It is soooooo sweet.

AQfternoon one and all,

What a start to the day. Rain, Rain, and more rain.

Ros wanted to wash her hair this morning, but no hot water. The boiler has packed up and showing error L 9 whatever that means, have rung my plumber for advice, NO REPLY. She ended up in the Shower. She didn't realise it was ELECTRIC.

We have put the Halogen heater in the lounge to take the chill off.

Ros has bought me a new "T" Mobile phone for our anniversary present, and I bought her a bottle of "CHANCE" I will have to spend hours trying to work out how to set it up and put all my numbers from my old phone, which packed up two weeks ago.

Conrad & Jan should be here soon, as we have a table booked for 1.30 lunch. Will have to record the Thames pagent.

Jane it's being televised. I think there are quite a few private parties planned and probably something at Government House. A few of the churches around our local area were having functions as well. We have had a lot of wonderful photos in our papers and lots of the Queen's private collection.

Afternoon everyone, day 4 of rain here, but not so cold.

Have a nice meal Mel.

Frank, maybe your plumber is off now for the BH !!Good job you have the Electric Shower lol.I take it you won't be going to the playing field this afternoon with this horrible wet :-S
I can't wait to see all the boats with all the different bands and the Philharmonic Orchestra bringing up the rear. All warm as toast here.Chris is fed up with all already :-S :-S.Misery Guts. :-| :-|.Even Chester has put himself to bed lol.
I remember when the Queen visited Plymouth way back and Mum and Dad took me to see her.I had my little flag and was pushed to the front so I could wave it through the railings when the Queens car passed by.I think I must have been very enthusiastic because I dropped it Boo Hoo!It was lost forever :-(
Well the Pageant is just about to begin so I think we may have a glass of something and enjoy the celebrations.(well I will :-D :-D)

To you people who have asked after me, I'm OK!! A bit damp at the moment as I was caught in a terrific storm taking Millie out!! Have been moving furniture this w/end and generally TRYING to get straight! Son was SUPPOSED to come and help after work on Friday, but he rang up to say that he had an order to get out before the close of Friday, so will come next week!!! bit late then, but, still,l won't kick a 'gift horse.' watched the river pagent, and really enjoyed it; All those rowers, bet their arms ache this evening!! You do make me laugh Jane, about you waking yourself up when you snore in the armchair!! I do that sometimes! I can even hear myself and wonder who it is before completely waking up, also sometimes when I wake up I don't know where I am!! Anno Domini closing in at a gallop!!

Well i really enjoyed that , brought a lump to my throat at times :-D
What weather they had and they all kept smiling .
The Queen did really well , standing all that time ,she must had been quite cold by the end ,she was rubbing your hands as if they were cold and she must have been gasping for a cup of tea by the end of it all!! :-D :-D
Looking forward to the concert tomorrow now .

Been raining here too, quite heavy at times ,i should think the Barbi in town was a wash out .

Jane Report 3 Jun 2012 21:08

Hi Liz,hope you are all cosy (even if still in a bit of a muddle) in your new home.
I have really enjoyed all the pomp and ceremony today, and to top it all tonight hearing the song by Gary Barlow and Andrew Lloyd Webber. What an amazing journey they had to do the song.(still wiping away the tears).I just love Gary Barlow :-D
I feel quite worn out now lol.Jess is just about to leave to go home. Her train is at 9.30.So ALL visitors gone now.I won't know myself :-D

Frank I do 'Risten',just get confuddled about what day.Like mandy she doesn't know what day it is lolol

Annx Report 3 Jun 2012 21:18

The Pageant was fantastic.....we loved it too. The poor old Queen standing all that time......I would have to have sat down......she had 'heels' on too. It looked really cold too. I agree Mandy, a nice cuppa, perhaps with a splash of something. ;-)

Glad you are moving in at last Liz. You must be so pleased to be doing that at last. I bet you haven't unpacked everything from your last move. Now you will be able to get properly straight.

I find it even harder to know what day it is now we are both retired.......better than having a diary full for a few months though. :-S :-D

Shirl are you a closet gardener and been keeping it secret? Drying seeds and getting them to grow, whatever next!! Good luck with them. Hope your son is doing well now.

Jane, it sounds like you need to put your feet up tomorrow!

Off to bed to watch the Indian Ocean programme.....fascinating. See you all tomorrow.
