Well Pudsey won as I thought they would. I loved Jonathon and the girl too and think they should get on in the world anyway. What an amazing vioce he has for a young man. He seemed a little shy at first tonight but soon got into the song and forgot his shyness.

I still think that the Royal Varity Performance should include all the acts from BGT as that would be much more entertaining than the usual old acts they have on. I might actually watch it then instead of turning the tv over or off.

Jane it sounds as though you are all ready for tomorrow now. Hope everything goes ok.......... :-) :-) :-) It should be nice again tomorrow so you can eat outside.

Been up the garden today working on the border and generally helping OH with the leveling of the pegs for the blockwork. Frogot to get anything out the freezer for dinner tonight so OH had scampy and I had a small tin of salmon, salad and four chips.

Hi Jane I am glad James got a job and how is Janice so out of date with the threads.

William sorry you lost Grannie Dot funerals are so sad.

I must say Normandy Pork Casserole sounds very nice.
I have a lamb hock in mint jelly and sprouts beans and peas all fresh.
Michelle is cooking dinner or would have avoided the lamb but I have felt in so much pain with my leg I just was pleased she is doing the dinner.
I voted for Pudsy in Britains Got Talent and thought Boys Allowed needed to sing in english.

Well off to watch the football Man United. my favourite footy team
Have not done a lot with this dreadfully sore leg.

Beryl arrived in a bright blue raincoat and matching hat with ducks on it.

Mel, I totally agree with you, that's just what I said to Carmel last night as BGT finished. It was an excellent programme and one the Queen would enjoy immensly - as we all would. Let's face sometimes TRVP has some rubbish spots. It's nice to know that a lot of them will have careers anyway, no doubt about that. I just love David Wallams, he has been the only one I've seen (male) that keeps Simon in his place.

Meanwhile The Voice keeps battling on and I'm not sure if I've lost the plot along the way. The redeeming feature is that Wobbly Holloby has taken over with the bicycle park cleavage!

Had to record Casualty as Carmel went for a nap, a veerryy long one. Good film on tonight if you haven't seen it. Tom Hanks (great actor) in The Castaway - a film that made a dead man a byword, ie; Wilson....

Why of why do they keep changing listed programmes? I'm glad I check first before I set up the recorder. Friday's Piers Morgan was to be Lulu and it was Dennis Waterman (Lulu THIS Friday - maybe!) And there was a film I wanted to record and they changed it for one I've seen. Planning! I've shot 'em !!!!!

Anyway moaning over, off to put on some nice salmon etc for our dins.
Catch you all soon.

Evening everyone,

What a lovely sunny day its been, we started off going to sons for coffee this morning then on to The Ran*e ,we bought a new roller blind for the kitchen to replace the venetian blind ,i find its a devil of a job to keep clean and i have to lean right over the kitchen sink to reach it so the roller will be better .

Also bought Jake a new scooter for his birthday on the 22nd ,its a funny looking thing it has like a v shaped bit and you put a foot on each side ,you sway from side to side to move it along .

Hope your day has gone well Jane and that you managed to eat outside ,i think its been one of those days where it was lovely in the sun if you where sheltered from the wind .

Sheila ,sorry to hear you still have a sore leg , it's been bad a while now hasn't it , have you been resting it ?
I would have loved to have seen Beryl in her mac and matching hat with the ducks on :-D :-D

Evening All,

Yes Frank, Jane did Normandy Pork Casserole she prepared yesterday to warm up today........and she told you you shouldn't reheat pork didn't she? lol. Sorry you have been visiting the 'white friend' and hope you are better now. There seem to be a few bugs going around at the moment.....we both got tummy cramps the other day, then were right as rain again.

Sorry your leg is so painful Sheila and hope it soon improves for you. Beryl with ducks made me chuckle too!

Mandy that sounds an interesting scooter for Jake! I think I might have trouble getting going on it!! :-| I like your idea about a bone for the dog next door. He certainly isn't getting used to being left.

I see the BBC are filming a new period drama set in Edwardian times called Parades End. I am looking forward to it and think Jane will too as it has it has Alice Mankiewicz's 1914 violet Rolls Royce in it.

We spent yesterday in Nuneaton first, then drove over to Uppingham in Rutland where OH had found a match to watch. I left him there and took the car past Rutland Water and went to Oakham and had a nosey around there. There were a few charity shops to have a look in and you could really tell it is a bit upmarket there by the goods they had.......posh china, hunting prints, fancy topped walking sticks and a few candleabras!!

Oh poooooh, I just typed a message and lost the lot, not the computer's fault, just my not so nimble fingers .... :-P

Have had a lovely day, went round to a friend and although I said no still ended up having dinner. There's nothing better than sitting in a garden with a glass of wine chatting to friends.

I wonder Frank if it is the medication you are on that affects you and not Ros with food.

Good to see you Sheila, I wouldn't expect anything less from Beryl with her ducks. You have a lovely daughter in Michelle.

I loved Pudsey but would have liked to see Molly the young 11 year old with the fantastic voice or Charlotte and Jonathan win.

Am thinking of Jane and family having a wonderful time, the weather has been really good and I bet the food was delicious.

Have given up on The Voice. I do think the contestants are very talented singers, just can't stand the music.

Getting bathed in a tin bath on Sunday.
Then we lived in rooms at the top of a house. No tap.
The water was carried up in pitchers from a lower floor and heated on gas rings.

Mam and Dad used the public baths and Mother made good use of the wash house.

It still stands as a listed building in Gibson Street Newcastle.

Morning All,
#
Raining here today so that has stopped OH in his tracks from doing any blockwork on the sides of the new pond.

Jane I am so pleased everything went off ok yesterday even if you did have to eat inside.

We had a galvanized bath when I was small that mum and nan used to mangle the washing into. In the summer it became my paddling pool. Think there is a photo somewhere of me sitting in it in my favorite cossy.

Shopping day today and I don't mind as it is raining.

Hope all had a nice weekend.
