Jean, sorry that you are suffering from vertigo again, hope that it will soon get a lot better.

Thank you for our happy anniversary wishes for tomorrow. We are not doing anything special.......I have a doctors appointment at ten to nine ( the usual thing ) to start the day and then Alun has to go to the model railway club to help with some stuff that they are having delivered, and then it is the club tomorrow night. So we might decide on going somewhere on Friday instead.



Mo, how is your daughter? I hope that she is starting to feel better and that whatever the family problems are, can and will soon be resolved

it is another hot day here ............... it was almost 27C in the shade in my back garden yesterday (Tuesday), and today it has hit 27.5C


That means inside the house is over 32C


it is supposed to cool down tomorrow, and then we have rain or showers at the weekend ................. Monday is Labour Day, a stat holiday :-)


Everybody who is not already back at school will be back on Tuesday, September 2nd.


I spent time today booking our train trip to Halifax at Christmas ................ each of us had enough points to do the trip there for free :-)

The train company doesn't even charge anything for taxes or insurance.


Now, I'm hoping that there might be a "something-off" deal pop up in the next couple of weeks, so I can book the train trip home :-)

I can't wait too long, as the trains get full very quickly around Christmas, and it is not always certain that they will add extra carriages.

We have to stay one night in Montreal each way, as the trains don't quite connect ...................... and Montreal is much nicer than Toronto :-)





OH had our car in to have the dents banged out, and painted. They said it would be 4 days, but it was ready by lunchtime today (Wednesday) :-)

Hello girls, if you are looking in I just want to let you all know that things are not very good for Mo at the moment. I got a pm off her this evening telling me that her eldest daughter is still very poorly and that she is still waiting results of some tests to come back, which can take up to three weeks.
As you all can imagine Mo is very worried and distraught about her daughter and hasn't felt like coming on GR at all, she sends her love to you all and she hopes that you are all okay.

She herself has to go for another scan as she is still suffering with bowel pains, the doctor has told her that she has lesions in the bowel and they think that iis causing the pain.

Just hope that things will soon be sorted for both Mo and her daughter.

Yes it's little ol me, just popping in to say hello to you all.

Good news, we managed to get to see our daughter yesterday, after weeks of trying.
God willing her results, when they come back will be good ones.
It was so nice to see them all again, even though talk was a bit stilted between our daughter and myself.
I just hope and pray, that we can now move forwards, and not take steps back. But time will tell wont it, at least I have made the first move.
We never talked about what happened two years ago, as i felt that she has enough to cope with at the moment, and to be honest with you, I would rather not talk about it ever again. I made a terrible error of judgement that day, and have paid for it ever since.
