Hello all. sorry Mo have been out in Cheltenham until now. I think the boards in general are very quiet. Lots of people have left or don't come on here now after the RRing caused so much trouble which was probably what they wanted.

Managed to get a dress to wear out for lunch at Christmas and also to grandson's 18th. Just a straight black velvet. Also bought some new booys, flat, ankle brown exactly the same as the black ones I have been wearing for a year so I know they are comfortable. M&S footglove, wider fitting.

Not see Sallie for ages, anyone know if she is ok.

Hi, Folks, I last heard from Sallie on the 6th oct and she sounded to be struggling , wasnt doing any cards and although she read the thread couldnt add , so I am thinking its the old black dog again, I hope she is soon feeling better,

my excuse is the dizziness its not moving at all, cant even bend down sometimes ,I started to strip the beds and couldnt mange it , so J had to help me, must say I feel a bit low. did make some christmas cards,( Pics on the way Ann), but couldnt get in the mood for any more so put it away....not much news I am afraid, the roof seems to be a very good investment its lovely and cosy when it gets colder....

Just had a letter cancelling my trip to the eye dept, from next week to the week after
had my flu and shingle jabs on monday the shingles one is very red and itchy, but should clear up soon...we are just going to have coffee and a mince pie, they are from Home Bargains and are very good......so take care everyone. see you soon,

Hello Elizabeth, it's so lovely to know you look in on our thread. Don't overdo the swear word...(housework),it's a word I like to think about, but not carry through with very often these days.

Ann, I love M+S footwear, especially their footglove selection....they are sooo comfy.
Did you get your Velvet dress from M+S as well. I find I get get away with smaller sizes from their selection of clothes, and that makes me a whole lot happier with myself.
Is T still playing his golf? or has the wet weather put him off. I somehow doubt that though. lol

Oh Jeanie my lovely, I am sooo sorry you are still suffering with the blessed Vertigo.
As ann has said, they must surely be able to prescribe something different to relieve the problem.
Thank you for letting us know about Sallie. Bless her she has really been hit bad with this old black dog recently.

Well girls, I am doing very well with towards christmas presents. Today I remembered to buy the wrapping paper, something I have promised myself I would do days ago, so tonight, I shall start wrapping the little ones gifts up.
Thank the lord there are not so many to buy for as we used to have to get.
Oh no, I have just remembered, I didn't get the gift tags, honestly my memory gets worse, but as I know who has got what, I can still wrap them up.

Yes Mo the dress was from the Classic range in M&S. It was in my usual size though. I like some of the things in that range but don't like the trousers with the sewn in seams, they make me feel old. And the boots are very comfortable.

Yes T is at golf this morning. He still plays twice a week although does feel tired when he gets home. Won't be able to rest today thhough as we have flu jabs this afternoon.

At Jeans request some of my cards are on the craft blog. :-)

Well, thank goodness I am back, did you miss me, I bet you didn't LOL
My poor laptop had to go into lappy hospital, yet again....I seriously don't know what it keeps happening, but it's sorted out now, phew thank the lord.
I got them to load my McAfee for me whilst they were at it, so now I have protection for two years instead of one. Whats the betting I forget, and buy it again next year.
I was able to use my tablet for a while, but it's very unreliable.

I hope you have all battened down the hatches, in readiness for the gale force winds and rain thats due to turn up tomorrow night sometime.

It has been really windy here today but sunny as well and quite warm.

What actually goes wrong with your laptop Mo? It must be costing you a fortune.

Anyway as always, good to see you posting. I have spent the afternoon making Christmas cards as you can see on the blog (narrative) not pics of todays cards) and on the craft thread. So pleased with how many I have made from the free pack.

Ann, I have insurance on my laptop, so apart from the initial outlay, it doesn't cost me anything.
The problem I had was that, I was completely locked out of face book, and I have no idea how it happened. I do like to keep my face book updated, as I get to see what my family are up to...nosey old me LOL.
The technician had to take it back to factory settings, to sort it out. I thought I had got trojans, viruses and goodness knows what else. I did a defrag, updated my McAfee, and my son tried his darndest to sort it, and it even puzzled him, but it's done now.
As I have said sooo many times, I aint got a clue what to do if I get a problem.

Things have been a bit hectic here with the horses and donkeys, but quietened down now, not as many riders now the weather has changed.

Hi Ann, think I may have to give up on crochet, lol, get so cross with it I usually end up throwing it across the room. Think my brain is too old to learn now.

Ann, I shall have to take a look in M+S next time I am up the Sava Centre, I have got a Christmas meal to go to in December, and then theres New Years eve, and I would like something nice to wear.

Yes girls, this little lady is holding the schools Nativity play in her barn, along with real animals, instead of stuffed toys, how wonderful is that. A donkey, and a lamb and other animals I believe, this is reality for the children to experience, and I can't praise Jeni enough for what she does for children.

Hello everyone, not been on here for a couple of weeks, because of the same old problem also having problems with my blood pressure it is quite erratic, so have to have it taken every other day, morning and evening. Had to buy a BP monitor so that it can be done at home and our doctor has been ringing me to check how it's going. It seems that the medication I am on can cause high blood pressure, he also thinks that it could be caused from the severe anxiety levels that I suffer from.

I went to see a Psychotherapist last week and he also think the same as the doctor,
as he told me that I suffer from depression and severe anxiety disorder....so will have to wait and see what happens.



Mo, I am so pleased to see you back on GR,you seem to be back to your usual cheerful self, which is nice to see.

Also very pleased that your daughter's test results were not as you all feared. Hope things are alright between you both, now.



Jean,sorry to read that you are still still having problems with Vertigo, have you got any medication to take so that it isn't too severe?

It's many years since I have done any crocheting,so have probably forgotten how to by now.LOL
I use to make baby clothes and little dresses for my cousins children while they were babies and toddlers.

but made Js day he now calls him Gramps which is his daddies name for J... we had a great time with him....its like a dose of medicine especially for D....

Glad to say the awful winds have calmed down it was terrrible yesterday ,
so I think we may venture out later , dont know where to but a change of scenery

We have just got in from a lovely day out. We drove to Batsford Arboretum getting there about 10.30. The drive across the Cotswolds was beautifu as the sun was shining on the trees as the leaves are turning.

After coffee we spent almost 2 hours walking round looking at the beautiful reds and golds of the Acers and other trees where the leaves have already turned. There were a lot of people there but there is pleanty of space so it wasn't a problem. We both took lots of photos of course.

After we finished there we drove to Evesham Country park across more beautiful countryside. There we had lunch of Shepherds pie and vegetables in the garden centre. Bought a few bits for Christmas presents, had a look round Leading Labels but didn't buy anything then drove home, getting home about 2.30. Just drove through one l;ight shower not far from home but the sun is shining again here now. All in all a lovely day. :-) :-)
