Sylvia once on the train you will be able to relax I'm sure and look forward to a pleasant Christmas.
Not much activity on this thread for a couple of days I expect we are all busy.
Mo, I dreamt of you last night, well of your little Lily! I was telling somebody how she knocked the front off a socket. Well thatw as what I was telling in my dream.
Just posted three small parcels (UK) and two cards (Europe and it came to over £8. Phew. :-)

LOL Ann, that was no dream, that was a nightmare, just like moi. Lord above, I know that they say that today is black friday, but goodness me, people were going absolutely crazy today. Did you see on the news the people going mad when entering shops, and grabbing everything in sight, and causing any amount of trouble. One person in a wheel chair was injured by a T.V falling on them. Total madness all round I was told that a fight broke out at our local shopping centre, the Sava Centre. To be honest, I would rather wait and pay the full price, than camp out over night, and fight to get the thing I wanted.
I hope you are all well, and looking forward to your weekend. Take care, Mo

I recently joined a FB group called New Zealand. People put photos on it, and last night they decided to use my latest photo for the banner, which is changed fairly often. I am really chuffed about that. :-D

Hello girls, hope that you are all okay and enjoying your weekend. At last I am able to write this, what with one thing and another and our internet was off from yesterday evening until about 20 minutes ago.
Jean, nice to see you posting again, and that you feel like making cards again. I hope that J is feeling better and that the abscess under his tooth has now been sorted. Are you almost sorted for Christmas? I'm afraid that I won't be sending my own cards this year, although I tried, I just couldn't concentrate to make many at all. As I was getting over anxious about making them, I decided that for this year I would buy cards to send to everyone.
Elizabeth, lovely to hear from you again, I hope that you and your family are all well and that you are having a lovely weekend.
Mo, hope that all is well with you and Roly. Hope that you managed to get booked up for New Years Eve. Over the last few years Alun and I have spent the New Year at Jennie and Michael's with them and his parents and his sister. not sure what's happening this year though, we'll wait and see.
Are you having some of the family coming around for lunch this year or are you and Roly going to one of those for a change?.
Ann, hope things are all okay with you and your family. Are you all organised for Christmas yet?
I have wrapped most of the presents. but I still have all the cards to write....it seems to be taking me longer to get things done this year.lol!!
Did you buy anything in the Black Friday sales? We went onto Derby as there were a few things we needed, it was mad there, I haven't seen so much shopping with so many people for a very long time. Some people were pushing others that were in their path out of the way with no apology at all....they were just plain rude.
We were glad to get home.....like Mo I would rather pay the full price, than stay out until the doors opened and then fight your way through the store and risk getting injured to save money.
Sylvia. once you get on the train you will be fine, it will be nice having to look forward to seeing your daughter and grandson over Christmas.
Marie, hope all is well with you and yours. I expect that by now that you are having some glorious weather, lucky things. It is grey, dark and miserable here in this part of Derbyshire.
I am wondering if you could let me have your address, I don't know why, but I don't seem to have your right one,.
Huia, how are things with you and yours? Are you still working at the charity shop?
Hello to any friends that might look in but don;t post, hope that you are all okay.
Will chat to you all again soon if we don't have any more trouble with V----n.
Take care everyone.
Love and best wishes.

Hi there everyone. Jean, the blessed cold has been with Roly and myslef since the beginning of October. It goes away for a few days, and then hits you from behind, as if to say, "Hah fooled ya, I am still hanging around" The cough is a real nuisance, and seems to rack the whole body when it starts. Get well soon both of you.
I am pleased that the cards have arrived, I was a bit worried in case they went astray, and that my dear friends didn't get them till after christmas.
Well, it's another dull miserable day here. We haven't ventured out of the house at all today, and have got the central heating blazing away, keeping us nice and snuggly buggly.
Bye for now gilrs, stay safe and warm, love Mo x

Bugs Bugs Bugs seems they are everywhere many here have had very bad cough's for quite some time and most of the children colds as well. Coooeee Marie, good to hear from you love. Did you manage to get the lawns cut ? And on the subject of the heat overthere, can you send a little our way. It has been so miserable here in the U.K, the lights have to be lit by about 4.00 p.m. And talk about bedlam getting the food shopping in, I am sure people think we are going to be snowed in for the duration of the Christmas period. The supermarket was heaving today, and people were spending a fortune with overladen trolleys. Perhaps they know something we dont know. lol
Well girls, I hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend. Take care of yourselves, Mo xxx

Wish it was warm and cosy here but today our boiler chose to give up. Have to wait until Monday before our plumber can come, then he is certain it will be a new boiler, he has been looking after it for quite a while now, it has been 'jittery' this year playing up sometimes. Trouble is this is the old style boiler, we really didn't want a condenser one but no choice now.
So, we have electric fire and fan heaters and extra clothes plus immersion heater. Watch the electric bill shoot up!!!

Brrrr it's so cold again girls, I do hope that you are all keeping warm, one way or another. Would you like me to send my hot water bottle up to you Ann. It's just typical that when extra warmth is needed, something goes wrong with the system.
Thank you all, for the lovely Christmas cards. The poor postmen must be suffering from bad backs at this time of year, with the extra weight of cards awating delivery. We have received lots already, I shall start putting them up on the living room door soon, as we are getting short on space now.
Good grief, I couldn't believe how frosty it was last night. The cars windscreen looked like a winter wonderland this morning. Thank the lord for heated windscreens that don't take long to clear. I tried scraping it off first, but it just wouldn't move, so on went the heating, and yippee away it went.
Our Lilly is getting so excited now, about Santa coming, but she just wont leave the tree decorations alone. She thinks the baubles are for kicking around like a football, but bless her, she does put them back when she is told to do so, hmmm kids will be kids wont they. When I said today about Santa coming, she told me she had been naughty, so it looks like she is not expecting any presents, LOL
Bye for now girls, take care, Mo
