Hello my lovely friends,
Many many thanks for the lovely birthday cards, as I have said soooo many times, you are so clever in what you do.
It has been a really wonderful day, seeing most of our family. Our house is full of beautiful flowers, it's better than a florists shop believe me.
Roly and I are going out for a meal on Friday night, as Roly has darts tonight, and we are both out tomorrow night.
To be honest, I prefer to go Friday evening, so that I can see the family during the day and evening today.
At the moment I feel like a tornado has gone through the house, and I am well and truly cream crackered.

It's so good to hear from you Sallie, you take good care of yourself my love, and give that black dog a good kick up the backside for me please.

Well it's nearly time for bed I think, so I will say goodnight god bless you all. Hugs Mo xxx

Thanks Jean for the welcome back, will try and post a bit more often. I have really neglected this thread and Shaun'.s thread . a lot over the last couple of months

It's also nice to see you posting a bit more on here too. Well done on being able to make cards again, you are doing really well.

So glad that you all had a lovely day with C over the weekend, I can imagine how thrilled J must have been when C called him Gramps; Nice to know that all of you are going along OK.

Ann, also thank you to you for my welcome back, hope to post more often again.

Sounds as though you and T had a very enjoyable day out. today.Like you, I have also managed to buy a few Christmas presents at the garden centre we go to, usually find that I can get something a bit different there and the prices are quite good too.

Hope to get back to you soon.

Take care.

Love, Sallie. xxx

We were sliding down the board again.

A dreary damp day today, don't think it has been cold although I have not gone out. T played golf and didn't really get wet as it was mostly light drizzle but i do hate it when it is so dark out in the day. hate the thought of the clocks going back tomorrow. On the plus side, staying in I got the sheets washed and did some h*******k and made 7 cards. :-)

JustJean Report 24 Oct 2014 20:32

Same here Ann. miserable day, I also did a wash and then spent the rest of the day sifting through boxes and drawers and cant believe how many card blanks I have found just need to do some toppers for them, no doubt I will find some more hiding..

but managed to make a few cards.....with recycled christmas cards from last year....
suprising how they can be diguised with colouring and glitter..

I also found Mos birthday card in the box with the birthday girls cards, cant think why It got put in there :-| :-| :-| :-| so my lickle dart player I had one ready to post but never saw it ... shall I keep it for next year or send it :-D :-D :-D :-D

off to watch second half of corrie by for now,
love Jean xx

Hi Ann, yes a dark and dreary day here too.also had a few showers of heavy rain.

I haven't been out today and not done very much either. Sounds as though you have been busy with the housework and card making.

Alun had to go and get a new tyre for the car and to the model shop up town to get a few things that he needed for his new layout he is working on.

I was hoping that I could make some Christmas cards today, but couldn't get my head around doing them. I must try a lot harder, otherwise I won't have enough to
send to family and friends.

Hope all our friends on here are all well.

Take care.

Love, Sallie. xxx <3 <3

Hi there girls,
Whew, that was some meal we had tonight, I am well and truly stuffed. I had a rack of ribs, jacket potato and side salad.
We decided we would have lemon merangue sundae, and the waitress said if you have a joint one, it is cheaper and bigger.....LOL bigger goodness me, it was like a mountain, and when we looked at it, we both said we'll never eat all that, but guess what, us little piggies did.

Tomorrow is my scan day, so I just hope my belly goes down a bit before I leave, or the person doing the scan will think they have got a mountain to climb over.

Jean, I forgive you, and will expect two cards next year lol :-P :-P
I don't know about you lot making your christmas cards, I have not, as of yet even looked at the cards in the shops, but shal have to get my finger out soon, and get the cards posted to Australia and New Zealand, or it will to late to send them.

Keep your chin up Sallie, slowly but surely you will win my love.

Ann, we have had the heating on this evening, as it has suddenly turned colder brrr
chilly willy.

Night Night girls, hugs Mo

Mo in Kent Report 25 Oct 2014 21:05

Hi there Sallie,
I couldn't believe that I nearly over slept this morning. I woke up at ten to eight, and my appointment was for nine fifteen.
Remembering that I couldn't have nothing to eat was easy, but trying to get two litres of water down in that short a time was a joke., remembering we had a thirty minute drive to the hospital.
When I was taken in for the scan, she told me I would have to wait for a further fifteen minutes, for the water to reach the parts it needed to get to, or she would need to do an internal scan....huh, no way, so I waited.
Now I have to wait ten to fourteen days for the results. Apparantly the cyst has not grown, but she wouldn't tell me anything about the bowel, so now it's a question of being patient and waiting.
Thank you for thinking of me love.
How is your weekend going? Have you and Alun got anything planned for tomorrow.
We will be doing our usual, going up the club for a few games of darts, nothing exciting, but it gets us out together for at least one day a week.
Roly has already changed the times on our clocks, and it's confusing me, him doing it this early. I must remember it's later than the clocks say. Why oh why must we keep changing the blessed time twice a year, my body clock just seems to start to readjust, and things change again. LOL

Hello there Elizabeth, I do hope you and your family are enjoying your weekend together. Sending you my very best wishes Elizabeth.

Well it's nearly time for Casualty, so I will say cheerio for now.

Sallie

Sallie Report 25 Oct 2014 21:53

Hi Mo, pleased that all went well with the scan, cross our fingers now that the results will show nothing serious to worry about.

We went to Derby this morning and then to the Range in Nottingham this afternoon, went to get some Christmas wrapping paper, bags and tags.I also got five Christmas presents.....so really pleased with myself, it's the most I have been able to do for quite a while.

We haven';t got anything planned for tomorrow, I hope to try and make a few Christmas cards.

Enjoy yourselves at the club, it's good that both you and Roly enjoy playing darts. I can't even throw a dart straight,it has always hit the board and fallen to the floor.
You wouldn't want me in your team Mo.LOL

I'm going to make a cuppa now so will speak to you soon,

Love, Sallie.xxx

Mo glad the scan went ok, hope the time soon passes until you get the result and that it solves your problem.

Sallie well done on getting your Christmas presents, that must be a good start for you. I have most of mine as the older grandchildren mostly get money by request. Have to deliver son's presents early as we are going to see them early November for grandson's 18th birthday.

Any of my facebook friends, photos of Grandson's wedding are on there. I will now go and put some on the blog. :-)

Oh darn it Ann, I have just looked on F.B, I shall have a look at the photo's tomorrow.
Will there be a party for your grandsons 18th birthday ?
One of my grandsons was 21 on the 17th of this month, he didn't want to go out with his friends to celebrate till the weekend, so went up to London with his parents and sister for the day. Sensible boy, waiting till the Saturday night to go out.

Well done on your shopping trip today Sallie, starting the present buying can be a chore, but when you start, it's surprising how things start to roll, and it's over and done with before you realise it.
I actually bought some christmas cards on Friday, and sat and wrote the ones out for overseas, still got to get them posted though...time to apply for a second mortgage I think. lol

Ann, I have to ask you again this year, whats the last posting dates for Australia, and New Zealnd please. I always forget don't I.

Well I will say nighty night, time for bed, I will get used to these time changes soon I dare say, I look at the clock and think....oops it's really 11.15 not 10.15, and my eyes want to close.

Thank you Ann, I had better get my skates on and post the cards as soon as possible, or they wont get there till the new year at this rate.
It looks like the ones for Australia and New Zealand are a bit late as it is, but hey ho never mind, they will arrive some time, and friends will know we have not forgotten them completely.

We have got a glorious day today, the sun is shining, but it is a wee bit chilly.

Mo

I say this every year ....................

don't worry about being late with your Christmas mailings!

Most of them come airmail anyway

and it really is not welcome to get Christmas cards at the end of October :-(

You should check with your people in the various countries to see when they received your card last year :-)
