Frank , thanks for the photo of the tulips in the rain ,pretty colour that purpley one .

When i went to Morris*n's yesterday i got Jake a box of six little toy figures for his birthday next month, they are like little Leg* figures only £1-98 , the same figures in Tes*o's £9-95 !!!! DIL is going back to Morris*n's this afternoon to see if they have any more , there's several different ones to collect and at that price they were a bargain.

Hope Jane and Jane enjoy their film and lunch out , i googled the film, looks quite a nice little film.

Hows the sand clearing going Sheila? what ever made them dump sand in your doorway ?

Afternoon All

I have been out for coffee with friends, that cheered me up a bit, they all think I am suffering from slight depression , so agree that going to see the doctor is a good idea.

Yesterday, bought myself a couple of Jigsaws, and have spent a while this morning do one of them, it's keeping me from dweling on my fed upness :-( lol :-)

Time for some lunch.

Sunny but a chilly wind here

Still raining here, very dark clouds all around and turned cold.

I have a long sleved jumper on, and still chilly, so have put the heating on for a while

Ros is out at the Chapel this afternoon, something to do with church kneelers, and curtains. She certainly keeps herself busy and involved in village activity. Good for her. keeps her active and interestered in what going on. Also we aren't in each others company 24/7. and give her something to talk about.

Have ordered her a rotary fabric cutter and board. Now she needs a perspex type ruler, so she can see the size of material she is cutting for her pattern. She can then stitch them all together, to make whatever it is she's making. She's talking of making a gold and cream cover for the bed. Will look the bee's knees by the time she's finished. :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0 It will look more like my harem. (for when all you girls come to visit ) :-D :-D :-D

Off to be feed a few grapes and dates ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

Sheila Report 18 Apr 2012 17:56

Hi Hello Amanda just answered your mail thank you .
Well it seems two days ago at a another shop premises someone did the same and the sand had been stolen from a builders yard two weeks ago. The other shop keeper had thrown two Pakistani lads out of his shop for stealing and these very same lads came into our shop and Leslie asked them to leave. A tip off to the police by someone made these culprits anxious to get rid of it . They dumped the first lot like I said outside another premises for spite and then yesterday outside our shop right by the door and all over the front. We were out until late clearing it to the side by the wall and covered it with a large plastic cover which someone removed today and this is funny talking about beaches Mel .Today outside was a Pakistani lady with two children and bucket and spades making sand pies. My husband went mad and I went out with Sophia who is limping and said please move you cannot do that.

The lady looked at me like I was mad and said something which included Urdo Sophia bless her said oh she is going to have a hairdo she will go now .I said no Sophia she said she spoke Urdo .my husband was really upset about the sand but even he laughed.

The police came lunch time and told us what they had discovered and said sorry and within another half hour a man arrived bagged the sand and removed it. It had made a mess and muggins here had to clean it all up.
We were both tired and it seems funny but it was very annoying and I honestly feel sorry for this world now the way people behave I wish we could sell up and leave. We have a large concrete forecourt to our shop and the sand was everywhere had we not removed it and covered it overnight it would have been terrible it rained all night long.

I took Sophias washing to the launderette and cleaned her house and
filled up her pantry with food on her diet sheet. There was this huge lampshade really old turned upside down with a plastic thing wedged inside. I said Sophia what is this and she said Oh its a lampshade given to me by a Prussian Count in 1956.I said well does it need throwing away and whats this inside she said You dont throw that I use it for my smaller cakies I fill it up with the cake. You eat many the cake that come out of my lampshade. Before you getta the dibetics .
I sat and laughed all the rest of the time there and it took sometime to stop her using milk over a week old for a cup of tea she made me.
Sophia said I have this elastic band so Mr Les thats my ho does not tell me he could use my Brazier for a hammock.

Fiona I hope the doctor helps your depression
KIM loved finding you on Facebook accidently time out seems to put everyone I know on my very unused Facebook page I saw your name and sent the message then saw your lovely cat.

I bet that little girl was having a great time with her bucket and spade in the sand lol.
Never though of keeping cakes in an upturned lampshade :-D.I do hope Sophia is sensible with her new diet.I expect she will make herself sick if she eats too much or the wrong things at the moment with her band.

Thanks for your photos Frank.Your garden is looking very colourful already.
Sadly I think my Olive tree is dead :-( :-(.I will leave it just a bit longer just incase it's not.

Tired now. oh gone out ringing. I have cleaned the bedrom and changed the bed, dusted and hoovered so that is all finished. Got a load of things out a box in the uti room and found a load of unused canvases for painting. Mum must have put them in there years ago and I have never had it out since!!!! Also a painting of a spanish scene I can remember sitting behind her in the armchair and starting it with a brown wash for the buildings etc. It was her first attempt at painting with a pallet knife. It is signed B H 52 so I would have been 3!!!! Can't bring myself to throw it out or the other pictures she painted but what to do with them?????

I am now going to finish hoovering the kitchen and then may go and have a shower. washing dried quite well but it has been dull and windy here today then it rained a little bit about 5pm so I brought it in.

Still raining here,
I am watching Chelsea V Barcelona. There is a deluge of rain there. Chelsea one up at half time.

Glad you liked the photo of the garden. Taken through the window as it was raining so hard.

Shelia you could be like the Irish man who imported 5 million tons of sand, so he could drill for his own oil. lol lol

Mel haven't you got a spare room where you could hang Mum's painting, then you could always pop in and get your memories going. !!! Or put a couple in the loun ge, so that she is always with you. Not saying she isn't anyway.

David, Didn't you ever skin a rabbit, or pluck a chicken. I did, and loved the effort when it was cooked.

Shirl, You would be surprised what goes on in my dreams :-D :-D :-D

Evening All,

Boy, has it rained here!! I thought I heard some dripping noise above the ceiling in the hall, so OH went in the loft to have a look, but it was all dry, thank goodness! We went out for a carvery at lunchtime, thought it would be quiet today as it was so wet.....wrong! Superb selection today so I had turkey, cauli, parsnip, swede, cabbage, leeks, carrot, peas and a bit of gravy. OH added mash, roasts and stuffing to his. :-D

On the way back, we called in the surgery as OH had still not heard this morning. The receptionist said again that she would ask the doctor to ring him (3rd time now). OH asked what the next step was if he didn't? No answer! OH asked again what he should do if the doctor didn't ring back. The receptionist just said she would stress it was urgent. (We would have thought she should have at least explain their complaints procedure....but no!) OH said on the way home that they needed a good manager there to sort things out!!! Anyway something worked because about an hour later the doctor rang. Told OH he didn't know how to tell him, but that funding of the tests he (the doctor) had requested had been refused. (which OH already knew) He has given OH an appointment for tomorrow and will sort out a referral to a specialist who WILL be able to authorise the same tests. Basically, the request for funding, refusal and delay by the doctor in letting him know means things are no further forward and 2 months have been wasted. :-S

It's going to be slow progress for Janice by the sounds of it, but all progress will encourage her. Is she still having physio? Glad you enjoyed the film and your lunch.

Glad you are feeling better today Frank. I haven't had any garden pics yet. :-S Ros sounds really happy with all her new skills!! I have quite a basic sewing machine like Mel's, but it does what I want. The bed quilt idea sounds really nice......not sure I can still get into my 'harem pants'. lol I don't think I'd have the patience to make something that big!!

That's a fantastic reduction in price, Mandy! It always pays to keep your eyes open for bargains doesn't it. Has your Hubby's rash gone now?

Sheila, they spread sand out in the city centre here in the summer for the children to play. You should have got the children with their buckets to clear it away from the doorway for you. Fancy people doing things like that though......whatever next!

David, I think that would be the greatest incentive to eat less or no meat!!

Morning All
I think it is quite warm this morning. Some sunshine but also some very big black clouds hanging about :-S :-S :-S At least it was nice when I took Chester out.He doesn't seem very lively today and was limping quite a bit.Hopefully he will just rest and not pester me to death.
Poor Chris has got to go into work after his dental appointment as they are so many Drs down today. It is supposed to be his day off too :-S

I think I will make my Mushroom and Bacon tart thingy this morning .Don't think I will be going out today.I really need to do some cleaning :-S :-S

Ann I really think your OH should put a complaint to the Practice Manager. It is disgraceful the way he has been messed around, and as you say it's been 2 months and got no further :-S :-S

Coffee time for me now

Afternoon all,

It was raining when I got up at 6.30 am but cleared up a lot now, and looks warmer out. Still plenty of cloud arounf and the forcast is rain rain rain. It would now we have a Hosepipe ban !!!!

Ann, I think your OH should be seriously thinking about complaining about how he is being treated by the Surgery. If it had been me, I would have done so long before now. !!!!

I must go and water the greenhouse today, with all this rain you forget the plants inside.

The service was for my brother at 11 am. I had a couple of minutes with him :-( :-( :-( .

Have ordered a few bits for Ros today, for her quilting projects. What with Jewellrey, now quilting, you can't see the lounge table. :-D :-D :-D

Trust everyone is well, and not getting webbed feet.!!!

Wet and miserable Morning All,

OH has just gone to drain off the trays of plants as they keep filling up with all this rain. :-( :-(

I have been and bought a few tops from M*S and B*S down the road.......I bet most will be going back!!! :-S

Frank, you will have to sort out a 'craft' room for Ros soon!! lol :-D :-D I bet she is thrilled at trying out these things though. OH is always wanting to see what I am making.

I think OH will be pointing out the delays when he sees the doctor tonight and expecting him to make things 'urgent'.
