Well, I went out and nearly got my head blown off!! lol Nothing much doing at the garden centre so think I will go to the nursery in the village on Monday......want some onion sets and a few seed potatoes.

Mandy, where the time shows on my computer, if you click the pointer on it the time and date come up and you can change them. Don't know if yours is the same though!!

I'll have a liver sausage roll with you Frank. I used to love the one Sains did years ago, sliced and fried till crispy on the edges with your breakfast. yum, yum. Doesn't really taste of liver much. I'm drooling now, what with that and Mandy's apple pie and Jane's tarts!! Salad with corned beef and a jacket for us later.

afternoon All
Been called for Jury service twice Jane, I wasn't happy either.
first time must have been about 6 years ago. boss gave me the time of work, and I spent the week going back and forwards, it was a whole waste of time, I had to get a taxi every morning about 3/4 hour Journey to the court, only to sit their and wait with other people to see if we would be called up. I never was thankfully, did get my travel expenses rembursed though.

Second time was about 2 years ago. but there was a system where you were given a certain number and you phoned a telephone number every day to see if your own personal number was needed, luckly mine never came up and I didn't have to go. which is a good system I was always scared stiff as I didn't wanted to hear what the case would be about
I would never have slept if it had been a murder or anything to do with children.

OH has ordered a new computer for me, should come in 2 weeks time. I have been asking for one for years as this old thing is about 9 years old and is so slowwwwwwwww. I am really excited,

Gosh I came back from the shop this morning and a friend was here. by the time they went I did lunch and BIL turned up. At least he rang me this time and asked if he should come after lunch, to which I said yes please.

He can talk the back legs off a donkey, can that one!! He went and I had to do the chickens, came in washed up and went and shut the chickens in. Would they go in? nooo they took one look at me and thought it was dinner time again. I had to wait for them all to find out I had nothing for them.

Meanwhile I had let the banties out and when I cleaned them out the other day I had moved their house and run forward. Would they go in also ? noooo, we are tofrightened to walk past that big red trailer thats been left in the way!

Anyway I am here now and just going to catch up on your posts.

No Maureen hasn't got her new computer yet.I think she said she was going to have to wait until her son could help her.

I think these dark mornings ,dark evenings must be making me miserable.Maybe I'm a bit under par too from not being well over Christmas.I need to give myself a good shake I think.I'm not usually like this.

James is pleased.The new Jumper I ordered (to replace the shrunken one) has just arrived and the extra shirt I got.Just in time for him going back to Uni on Monday.Hannah has gone with friends to another friend in St Albans and will be back tomorrow.
She was telling me this morning about a fight that 2 prostitutes had at the centre where she works.She said it was terrible,and everyone had to stay out of the way until they were dragged apart and one was chucked out onto the pavement.She doesn't half see some things lol.
Risotto again tonight.It 's just so easy.I feel like easy tonight.Roast Pork tomorrow .

Didn't attent that auction.Had a young couple came viewed our home.She likes it he said nowt.

Ellen was unwell last night and was very restless through the night.Looked really shattered this morning.

David give Ellen our wishes and I hope she feels better tomorrow.

Perhaps an early night tonight may help her!!

I have sat here playing cards on the pc and stuffing M&M's and am now not hungry and have to get dinner!!

Sausages tonight but can't get inspired as to what to have with them.

Mel, yoy know these chics, they like routine, it's funny how they know things are different.

David, Hope Ellen isn't going down with this flu thing, I am glad I don't go out at present, everybody you know, knows someone who has it. And it's affecting young and well as old. !!! Hope the young couple buy the house. The woman always has the last word, so it's good she liked it.

Just watched an interesting programme on chanel 4 about where our fish comes from and the prawns. I think I will be extra careful, and read all the small print. 20% of Tesc#s fish dosen't come from where they say it does, and most "FRESH FISH" has been frozed before. !!!! I didn't know you could eat/cook previously frozen foods. They also uncovered that a lot of Fish and chip shops sold some vietnam river fish, which they said was cod. !!! and half the price of COD. Watch out and read the small print.

Ros is watching "TAKE ME OUT" I can't stand it !!! What a load of old twaddle. If I can't find something worth watching later I will go and read my E book.

My computer seems to be on a go slow tonight.It is taking ages to do anything.

I was awake at just after 3 last night and didn't get back to sleep properly so feel zonked tonight.The only trouble is if I go to bed now I will be awake by midnight!.

Another dull and dreary day. Thats all I seem to type in the morning now.

Watched the film The Interpreter on the telly last night. I had'nt seen it before and OH seemed to be enjoying it.

Tried to get Edwardian Farm on the replay box again last night but it still told me it is currantly unavailable.....please try later. Got fed up in the end so watched it on bbc iplayer on the pooter.

Trust everyone is well this morning or feelng better at least.

Dull and breezy and I think it may be a little cooler.Another bad night sleep for me.Awake at 3,read until gone 4 and then tossed and turned.I disturb Chris when I am like that so I think as soon as James has gone back to Canterbury tomorrow I will be having a night or two on my own again.

Nothing much Jane! Have just put on a Pot Roast in my Crock Pot, should be ready for tonight! usually do it in the Rauburn, but it is down so low as it's so mild that it's easier to use the Crock Pot, and cheaper!!! Feeling a bit 'down' today, seems to do nothing but rain and blow here, veg patch ruined by the snow and frost and now needs clearing!! Sorry to hear of your bad night! I get those now and again and it's really frustrating and leaves you feeling like 'pants'!!! You should sleep better tonight, hopefully!!! Really sad to hear about Susanah York, such a lovely actress, I remember seeing her in 'The Greengage Summer', and thought how I'd like to be like her!!! Glad you managed to see 'Edwardian Farm' Mel, I really enejoyed it, especially their 'Day by the Sea!' Frank, I hope you and Ros are feeling a bit better, 'Stones' are really AWFUL, I do feel for you!! Better go and look at that veg patch!!!

Bright and breezy here today ,nice to see a little sun peeping through.

Not doing much today ,just put my Chicken curry in the slow cooker ,so we'll see how it turns out later.

Sorry to hear your not sleeping to well Jane , i think if you have a bad night you feel lousy the next day and carn't really get motivated to do anything ,i was awake about four ,got out for a wee and soon went off to sleep again until hubby brought me a cuppa at about quarter to eight .
We found last sunday night we both slept like a log after getting the sea
air !!!

Afternoon from a bright and sunny Northampton, Don't know for how long.

Bad nights all round then. I settled down about 12.30, was awake at 3 then 5 had a wee and tossed and turned till 7. left Ros to sleerp in. Had my cuppa's and toast, shower and shave and read the paper.

Been looking on Ebay for childrens hangers, the girls want to make a load of peg bags for fund raising for new scout hut. They only need to be about 9 inches long, most on here are 12" plus Will have to keep looking under different names.

Mel, Can you help. I have my chicken coup, 3 galvanised feeders plus a plastic one also two extra water dishes. Do you think £75.00 is to much to ask for the lot ???? Looking on E bay the feeders are over £15/20 each. The coup has always been under cover and is anly two years old. That cost me £100.00.

Roast beef today, It seems to be our regular dinner. Conrad came on SKYPE this morning, and I answered him with "NO" you can't come to dinner today.!!!! They could if they wanted, but were just checking up on us.

We can all be tired and down together today by the look of it lol
Liz sorry you are feeling down.Are you getting worried about OH and his treatment?

My roast pork is cooked and keeping warm.It smells yummy.But I haven't got the potatoes or veg in yet so it is going to be a late late one.I have put some nice fresh herbs in with the roasting veg to add a bit more flavour.

I popped into town to get a few bits ,and to the pet shop to get Chesters food.Every Road has blooming roadworks !!!,and was a real pain.And I saw a man having a WEE .It was like Niagra Falls,and he was doing nothing to hide it !!!!.I had to do a double take lol.

I have just seen a family of Long Tailed Tits on the Fat cake.I haven't seen them in a while.They have had a good feast and have now vanished.
Off to check the spuds that are just par boiling.

Frank, i don't know what sort of hangers you want , but what about asking in Te*co's , they have lots of childrens clothes hangers that people don't want ,i think there's even a box to put your old hangers in for recycling !!
Has your Te*co's got a clothing department ? they might help you tell them its for charity .
