Ann, did your new Tele come with the feet/ stand fitted on it before you put it on the wall,..... only asking because my nephew took a tele back when it went wrong ,he had fitted it on the wall and they wouldn't take it back as he had taken the feet/stand off and with out them they said it was incomplete and didn't want to know ,this was Tes*o's.
So remember to hang on to the feet ,just in case .

I think I would give the Auction a miss then David !

Mandy yes the meat is tender ,but just a bit greasy.It is the kind of thing where you can feel grease around your lips.Yuk!

Chris's Hankies have F in the corner.F is for Frederick (his Dad) who died in 1991 .He just uses them for cleaning his specs lol.I won't let him use Hankies for blowing his nose .It has to be tissues .I just can't bear snot*y hankies,that might have been in a pocket for ages !!.I would rather put them in the bin .

I have a cousin who used to boil her pants in a saucepan !!!!!!!.This was way back in about 1971.She had run away from home and was living with some Chav in Plymouth.She had no washing machine ,and that was the way she kept her pants white.I still tease her about that lol

It came with the stand seperate in the box Mandy. We were putting the stand up in the loft in case we wanted to sell the tv in future. I think I better stick a label on it so we know which tv it is for as there are about 3 up there already!! It is a good point though, not to chuck anything away........easily done in haste. Better put the cardboard box in the garage for a few weeks too in case it goes wrong......heaven forbid!

I would be careful what kind of things to buy in an auction too. There are no warranties and you can't send it back after they have moved on.

Well girls and boys I have had enough today and just fancy getting into bed,so I am off.I will leave James in charge of letting Chester out for a wee,as I think Chris won't be long in following me.He has flu clinic at 8 in the morning so will be up at 6!He is doing the following Saturday as well!!!.And he did last Saturday!! I am wondering what the other Partners are doing !!

Morning All,

Rotten day again, dull and dreary and a bit windy too.

Ironing...............yes I iron most things as when mum was alive we had a bedroom without a wardrobe. Everything had to be ironed for me to get it all in our drawers (wooden ones) otherwise it would'nt fit. We had a rail in the uti room for shirts, trousers and other longer things and our coats. I do iron OH's pants but not mine. They are ironed when I put them on and sit down!!

It is a dark and very windy day here.But so mild.
There was a massive bang just after 7.30 this morning .It was like a BOOM.I have no idea what it was.The chickens next door were all squawking and Chester was barking.Strange!!

Morning everyone.

The weather here is damp and grey but still very warm.Had a super meal
last night and a lovely day with long skpe from the family.
Gotr on the scales this morning and have put 3lbs on over Christmas so its time to cut out dessert and cut out the wine for awhile.
No more time to chat today as off to York to do some shopping and then the theatre this evening.

Morning, I won't say GOOD. Have been awake for hours with the kidney stones. have taken four tablets since 6am. So uncomfortable, I have one on those Wheat bags, that you heat in the Micro-wave on them at the moment. trying to releave the pain. Might end up in bed again with the heat under my back !!!!

Same weather as you Mel. but quite mild. 10 degrees at the moment.

David. Steer clear of that type of sale. go to a good auction hall, you will be treaded much fairer. If it dosen't work they will say so. before they put it under the hammer.











You must admit Jane, Brisket has a nice flavour and does cook down to be nice and tender. I have only ever roasted mine on a trivit in the baking dish. If cooked PROPERLY it's nice !!!!!


David if you have money to throw away, let me give you my address. I would make good use of it LOL LOL BE CAREFULL

OH can't get out on his bike so he's fidling with an old lap top seeing if it's got any life left in it , won't throw out anything till he's had it to bits to make sure it's of no use. lol

Going to get on and do some housework. then off to post a letter

Afternoon All,

Dry and windy here. OH has just gone off to a match, so I'm having a cuppa and deciding whether to go to a garden centre and Hob*ycraft shop or stop in.

Sorry you are in pain with those stones Frank, looks like you will be back at the docs Monday. The wheat pillow may help though.....a bit of warmth usually does.

Glad you enjoyed your meal Anne......I bet that was why the scales weighed a bit heavier this morning! What are you going to see at the theatre? It is ages since I went to York.......loved the Rail Museum there.

The new tv was working ok last night, but I managed to put subtitles on and couldn't see where to get them off again till this morning!! lol Just like you Mandy with your clock.....so easy to catch something without noticing!! What did take me aback was all the spelling mistakes in the subtitles! Flippin heck!

OH says his parents are not so chuffed with their new car now their mechanic has seen it and says it needs £400 worth of welding doing!! We shall hear all about it tomorrow and I will be biting my tongue as they paid over the book price for it, wouldn't dream of 'haggling' over the price like we would and could have got their mechanic to look it over BEFORE they bought it!! All they talked about when they got it was what nice people were selling it.......they got more info on the people than the car!!!!! lol

OH is looking at the Regional manager jobs for the 2011 census. Trouble is it will be the 3 months from April, just when I need his muscles to help with lugging rocks and soil about in the back garden........will have to look into it more.

I don't have any idea about setting clocks on the computer.Mine changes automatically when the clocks change so I never need to touch it.

Frank I hope your stones shift quickly so you don't have to put up with that awful pain.What with Ros and her back and you and your stones !!

I wonder what Anne is going to see at the Theatre.It sounds like they will have a nice day.

Have never been called to Jury service, I only know two people who have.

Just had a liver sausage roll for lunch, haven't had that for years.

I don't know what happened to the clock Frank, i think it might have been my son this morning ,he used my laptop to do some Estimates for work with hubby and when i turned it back on the clock was an hour late .
He'll sort it out for me next time he comes, i wouldn't know where to start lol

How's the pain now Frank ? will you be able to pass the stones do you think.

Don't think you would know her Jane. lol lol I love all offal, a nice plate of kidneys are a real treat. You can't get pork chops with kidney in now can you ???? I loved those in a mixed grill, but don't suppose I could eat a big meal like that now.

Mandy, last time I had them blasted, I will know more when I go to see the doc. I got a bit of relief from the wheat bag, and dozed off for half hour.
