Well hubby has been out and cleared the snow again it was still coming down as he was clearing ,i should think we've had another couple of inches ,he cleared a bit for Toby to do his what nots !! and what did he do .....went in the deep snow !! :-D :-D :-D

I was reading that Norwich has closed some of the roads ,traffic was struggling up get up Grapes Hill and there's a jack knifed lorry near the slip road in town that goes up onto the A47 !!

The little ones came out of school early and son said the roads are dreadful ,told us not to go out any where , we weren't going to any way :-S :-S :-

Maureen ,love the pushchair :-D :-D :-D :-D how old were you then ?, your feet don't even reach the bottom :-D :-D

Our recycling lorry came today ,they were much later than normal because of the roads ,they had to reverse back down the road because of the snow.

Thanks Mel
Barny is obviously concentrating on his meal in the first pic :-D

Maureen .Chester has never actually managed to hunt anything.I think he would scream like a girl if he was confronted by something lol.He is acting like he has dementia today :-SI do wonder sometimes if something happens in his brain when he gets this gormeless look and behaviour. He hasn't played at all today :-S.He bashed his head to right on the corner of the table earlier. That certainly didn't knock any sense into him :-D

I went to TEs** this morning and the alarms went off just as `i started shopping.Me and some others were told by staff to please go out through a door which led to the back of the store ,then once outside to keep walking right around the building until we got round to the carpark.I was walikng with this lady and when we got to the carpark I said "well where are all the people" expecting to see everyone who had come out through the front doors.........No-one !!! just people going in !!!!!!!!!!!
I assume as soon as I had been chucked out the back it was decided that there was no emergency after all .I was in stitches lol.and said to the lady at least that had given us a bit of excercise. She laughed and said I was obviously a person who sees the positive in things lolol. We found our abandoned trolleys and joined the rest of the shoppers who had been in there all the time :-D :-D

I wish David! No, it is the old Schoolmaster's House in our village, built of the granite quarried here. On the opposite side of the road is the Old School and opposite them both is the village church all built in the handy granite. When they built the road that runs at the side of the schoolmaster's house they had to bring the quarrymen in to do it as it was solid granite just below the surface.

I must admit I won't do any banking online as I don't trust it. I sound as bad as grandma not having electric put in her house!!

Fiona, it will do you good to pop out and get a change of scene while your OH is away. It breaks the week up a bit. I bet you were ready for your hot chocolate when you got back.

Frank, I'm just writing your reference so you'd better be extra nice to me! :-D ;-)

Mandy, it sounds pretty bad where you are, good job you got some shopping in when you could.

When we went for our carvery today, they'd decided not to have one as they didn't think many people would come with the weather. We had a plated roast instead, but they did it at the carvery price. :-)

Couple of thanks to give out from me. Thanks for the Rocky Mountain vid Shirley emailed. I'd just been listening to Somewhere Over The Rainbow on the radio prior to seeing that, what a coincidence. A lovely version by Ella Fitzgerald, what a songstress.

The other thanks goes to Mel for the email photos of beautiful Barney. I do so love owls, especially barn owls. I know they are birds of prey, but they are so unique and so interesting to watch - and did I say beautiful?

Did anyone have another bash at watching Mr Selfridge on TV the other night? I'm still not sure if I like it or not, but I do love period pieces. I did think one thing was wrong in the script. When Mr S was with his 'bit-on-the-side' showgirl, she suggested "why don't we go back to yours' - they never used that expression back then, I don't even use it now!

Talking about words and such, does anyone recall terms your children, nieces or whatever used in the past? My daughter when she was little always said 'wardroad' instead of wardrobe. When my son was very young he would say 'parber' instead of pardon when he burped. If there were any villians on TV he would call them 'the nor-nor men'. If he wanted to go to the toilet for a No 1, he would say he wanted a 'wiss-wee'. Another one was when our grandson was small. Instead of saying he was upset, he would say 'I'm all set up'.

A couple of expressions that did the rounds when I was a teenager and my brothers mates would gather at our house were as follows. Something good = 'lovely tell yer Mum' - or 'Oh yes, very special margarine'.

Ann I still can't sort it out .I will have another go tomorrow.

Hi Shirl ,I bet you are pleased now your snow has gone.

Finally, good evening. What with 24 Emails and all your postings, it's taken me over an hour to post.

The stew was smelling so good, that I had a dishfull at 4.30 and another at 7.00 Ros has only had one but her bowl was bigger than mine.

What did you have then Jane ??

Mandy, I saw the news and all the bad weather. When you get it in Norfolk, you really get it. I know when I was up there in 1959/60 We had some terrible storms. At one time we had to put that chestnut fencing along the boundary fence of the camp at Old Catton, to stop the snow drifts. and when I was at West Raynham, we were snowed in for over a week.

David if you feel that there could be any viruses in my Emails let me know, and I will stop sending them But I must say I have never had any trouble in all the time I have received and sent them.

Ann, Don't forget to mention how HANDSOME I am. LOL LOL. Thanks for all your support. That goes for you all. <3 <3

Time for a beer and a bit of tele,

LUV YER ALL God bless.
