William, all this talk of you disappearing has reminded me of The Invisible Man series years ago. lol Do you remember....he used to wear bandages when he wanted to be seen.....!! lol.

Yes, meant to say Frank, OH gets regular clips around the ear too!! :-D Often I can't keep my face straight when I tell him off though!! :-D

Jane

Jane Report 12 Jan 2013 18:02

I remember being threatened with 'a clip round the ear' ...don't think I ever had one though.I had a spanked bottom though over the knee (not hard ) just hard enough for a little sting ..A hiding I think was the expression .

Frank

Frank Report 12 Jan 2013 18:26

Aren't you the lucky one Jane, I think I had more good hidings than I had HOT DINNERS. Just goes to show the difference in upbringings. !! Spare money for meals out, go go to the Pheasant without me will you ???

Still no luck then William. Never mind when they are ready, they will show up. !!

Haven't opened the Emails yet this evening, will have a look at the stoat shortly.

I didn't know you couldn't keep some freezers in the garage, We had one of those half and half ones, that didn't work well, that might have been why. The chest freezer works fine.

Maureen, You always seem to be away, you little minx you.

Ann, I liked the invisable man when I was young. Must have used a lot of bandages !!

No more snow here. (YET) a place called Woodford Halse, near Daventry, had three inches this morning, so it's around.

When we first saw the stoat this year in the summer it was all brown on top with a white underbelly. The tail was brown too with it's black end.

William please don't let the fairies take you!! :-0 We need you on the thread.

Tracey Report 12 Jan 2013 19:03

HI ALL ---WELL I NEVER SAW A STROAT BEFORE--LOOKED LIKE A CAT TO ME
REMEMBER I'M THE ELDEST AND HAVE BAD EYE SIGHT :-S :-S ;-) <3 <3

I'D GET ON WITH YOUR OH ANN --THATS SOMETHING I'D HAVE SAID OR USE A HAMMER :-D ;-)--JUST KIDDING.

WILLIAM YOU'LL JUST HAVE TO PUT A TRACKING DEVICE ON THINGS :-D
SNOW IS ALMOST GONE A BIT CHILLY BUT SUNNY.

THINK I'LL HAVE SALMON TO-NIGHT WITH CHIPS & PEAS & SALAD

THE KIDS DO GROW UP SO FAST SEEMS IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE.

NOT MUCH --IN FACT NOTHING DOING HERE JUST CLEAN OUT SOME DRAWERS BUT FIRST MUST HAVE MY LUNCH LEFT IT A BIT LATE.

I'M STILL WATCHING THE OLD SILENT WITNESS -IS THERE NEW ACTORS IN IT????

Annx

Annx Report 12 Jan 2013 19:23

Yes, ' a good hiding' or a 'stinger' if it was across your legs. That must be the northern version David! :-(

I heard someone say 'blimey o'riley the other day....another saying you don't often hear now.

Jane I'd not heard that about freezers either......I've always had one in the garage. The last one used to ice up, but the frostfree one in there now never has ice. I worry about the mice chewing the wires though. :-S

We have put 2 of those tv brackets on the bedroom walls and it is a bit of a game so I don't envy James! I remember there were templates for marking and a spirit level needed, all before you start drilling! :-S Once on the wall though, the tv is out of the way.

Are you getting Chris anything special for his 60th?..........any ideas welcome as OH's 60th is in March. He doesn't want any fuss and we'll eat out, before or after his birthday as it's on Mother's Day this year (would you believe it!) and everywhere will be packed!! I did think about taking him to Crufts this year as he often says he'd like to go. I've already got him a born in 1953 card, but am trying to think of small treats. He wants more money towards his new laptop as his main pressie.

I'm sure you would get on with him too Shirl, same kind of humour. :-D

Jane

Jane Report 12 Jan 2013 19:47

No Ann ,I can't think of a pressie for his 60th.But he will 'retire' in March so may think of something for then.I think the family meal will be my present for his Birthday. He is being a right pain in the a*** trying to find out where we are going. He is even smooching up to me to try and find out....he has been given a flea in his ear :-D

SMOOCHING! LOL that was a 60/70's word

James asked for a spirit level yesterday Ann lol....I think it all set up now. What a performance :-S
Have had another performance with Chris putting up the splash back for my pots and pans....it looks a bit off centre :-S :-S (it is) but it' s fine :-D :-D :-D(I'll say no more ;-)

OTHER THAN WHEN I WOULD BE FOOLING WITH THE KIDS.

Jane

Jane Report 12 Jan 2013 20:50

Now I see that word ....Skelp...yes I remember that one too .My Dad used to say that.It must be a Scottish or North England saying. Tan your Hide(sp) that's another

Have any of you noticed that the advert with Harvey and Rabbit, is the same dog that is Sykes in Midsomer Murders?

LilyL
