Furniture arrived yesterday at 3.30 pm, and it took us all evening (as OH worked till 6pm) to get through all the cardboard and polystyrene sheets to find the sideboards and mirror :-0 was amazed to see so much packing , a good job though nothing was damaged :-) still sweeping up that poly stuff floats everywhere. dinning room is looking good , fish tank still to sort out and mirror and photo frames to put on the walls,
OH had to go into the office this morning so he dropped me off in town and I went to NEXT Home store and bought some candles ( smell like Strawberries and Cream) yummy, wanted tall cream church candles at first but they only had Vanilla ones and that smell gives me a headache. Then it was a taxi home, I have the strength in my legs to get around but not the stamina to walk all over town,
Dull day here, but mild, weather man said temp is going down and we are due for some frosty and foggy days, :-| :-|

Afternoon everyone,
Gloomy old day here today ,need the light on to see whats what !!
Hi Michelle, thanks for coming on and explaining things :-) i didn't take offence :-) I don't see how you are to blame ,it was just a mix up and these things happen lets forget about it :-) I seem to remember your mum taking some children to the panto last year ,i bet they have a good time , i haven't been to a panto for years .
Oh how lovely Fiona to have the new furniture ,now all you have to do is fill the side boards up !! :-D I think i had some hand cream of strawberry's and cream ,it did smell nice . How's the new baby doing ? do you see much of him ?
Frank , what a price to just nip two clips !! hardly a two minute job !! i thought Halfo*ds did little jobs like that for free.
Mel , you still cleaning Hogwart out :-D will he hibernate at all as he's inside ? and does it make any difference if he doesn't ?
I have made a nice quiche for tea , only because i have so much cheese that needs using up !! it's in the oven and its smelling really good . BBL

I recall Mrs D was read by Jessie Mathews who when she was younger was a good looking singer and sacer. Workers Playtime about midday was another. When I was a kid,did I ever grow up,there was The Man in Black and Journey into Space, seemed creepy at the time.

Mandy no he won't hibernate as he is indoors. That was the whole point of bringing it in so he could put weight on and not go to sleep for the winter. He will be released in March so still two monthe to go yet and he is eating me out of house and home.
I did'nt get the chickens done as I did all the washing and now I can see the bottom of the basket!! :-D :-D :-D Three loads been in the dryer and there is just another one to go in in a min after I have had a cuppa as I have also been ironing. That pile is recedeing too, thank goodness.
Shall go back to it in a min.

My mother used to listen to Mrs Dale years and years ago (not me) - I listened to the Archers when M was small; he and I also listened to 'Listen with Mother'! as I did many many moons ago with my mother. Another busy day! continued with the Millie grooming saga! this time it was her paws which had got SO furry! I clipped them right back and she now has smallish paws!! She is so naughty, and trys to hide her front paws by tucking them under her tummy! I had to get quite fierce!! This aternoon I cleaned Merlin's field, cleared up piles of leaves, while OH split loads of logs for the woodburner, and did some rotavating!! we are now both K.N'd. Toss up as to gets supper~!!

Evening All Thanks Michelle. It can be very difficult when using computers and not 'hearing ' real speech(if you know what I mean). It is easy to get the wrong idea of what someone is actually saying sometimes and I think this is what happens on occasions with your Mum.No harm done :-D
Well I thought the film QUARTET was brilliant.I really enjoyed it.It was sold out and I think Fitz and I must have had about the last tickets.Problem was the 2 seats we were allocated had other people sitting in them.So we just managed to find 2 spare ones in different places.I was the lucky one and grabbed the Isle seat :-D :-D.Fitz had a seat in the front row :-S When we went into the cinema there was a dear old black lab in the next car to us.He was still there when we came out
:-(.He didn't look distressed,so maybe is used to waiting while his owners are watching a film.Poor old thing. It was quite cold which bothered me a bit.
It is very quiet and tidy here.Just me and the dog.I thought Chris might have been in by now.He seems to get later and later.
It is James's Birthday tomorrow (27)!!.Hannah and John are meeting up with him and Jess in London tomorrow evening.Hannah's pressie is taking them to a Japanese Restaurant.I think this will be only the second time ever that James isn't here for his Birthday!!!
I hope our Kim is safe and well .Those Fires in NSW look dreadful.

I thought you would like it Jane......I suspect Billy Connelly was being 'himself' some of the time! lol. We saw 1 couple turfed out of wrong seats when we went. I can't believe James will be 27 tomorrow. I was 27 when I joined the Civil Service. I remember at the time thinking I was quite 'old' to be starting something new which seems silly now.
Ohh.....nice to see lovely Merlin Liz! I bet you are done in too after doing all that.
Fiona, it must be nice seeing things in position now. That poly stuff is a nightmare isn't it, sticks to everything including yourself and won't come off. I'm sure now you are able to do a little more your legs will gradually get stronger.
I have just spent ages on the phone to the tax office. :-S I had received a BR coding notice which means tax on everything! They were going off on a wrong tack at first, but it looks like the new PAYE system had treated a one off payment I had a few years ago from my old employer as a new employment this year! I can just ignore it. :-D
Mel, you have been busy today, but I know just what you mean about spending too much time on here!! ;-) I'm guilty as well.
I have 2 anoraks and a fleece in the washer at the moment. . I have told OH that a lot of his coats and jackets are starting to whiff like old ashtrays from mixing with his footie mates who smoke. Even though they stand outside it still sticks to his clothes. Then the stuff he hangs in the porch cupboard makes my coats smell too. :-S He dropped 5 jackets in to the cleaners on Sunday and I've washed 1 of his anoraks and there's the other to do. Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny here, so I hope they all dry. I had to stitch a big pocket up by hand for him on 1 as well and the material was so thick it broke a needle.....he keeps ramming too much stuff in them. :-|
Clearing paperwork seems to be catching here.......while I popped out to do some errands OH half filled a big sack with some of his! :-D
Frank, those detectors are expensive aren't they! Mind you, it might be worth checking the weight of different ones too. We are off to see Les Mis next week, but the trailers of it were noisy so I might need plugs too.

I took that photo of Merlin this morning - he was on the look out for his two 'friends' and kept calling for them, I felt quite sorry for him, poor old boy! Those fires look quite dreadful, hopefully our Kim is alright. My cousin, plus family lives in Melbourne (Vic), and another one (her sister) lives in Brisbane. Just hope they aren't affected. Brisbane cousin's daughter/SIL plus new baby live just outside Sydney! can only hope for the best. No doubt I shall hear in due course. Dishwasher whirring away, OH watching a 'horse' programme on H&C channel, Millie's dozing - I'm having the last mincepie!

The news about my demise has been grossly exagerated, I am still alive (almost) but I've ebeen a tad busy to do a post, but rest assured I do read them all when I get chance, and I certainly read all the emails (and chortle).
Thanks Ann, if Carmel's well enough maybe we'll go into Ike* this week and take advantage of that offer.
I think it was Jane that emailed a video clip of her dog. He is a cracker (or a Chester!) what a lovely colour he is. You see, you mustn't let TV interfere with your pets way of life, that's not fair, they can't operate the remote (or can they?)
Not a lot to report, Carmel not well this week. We did manage to see our grandsons wife on Satuerday for a couple of hours and enjoy the company of baby Grace. It's hard to believe she will be one year old in a week or so. She is the most contented happiest baby I think I've ever come across and that's saying a lot. She is a delight and I just love being in her company. She doesn't miss a thing either, if someone moves she's on the ball, if she hears a voice out of her sight she will swing round to it straight away. She recognised us the minute we walked in the door and was all smiles and coos. Roll on next time we see her.
It's my model club night tomorrow night, first this year. I wonder if my trophy will turn up this time? I've picked out my models to take along and to talk about - that's if I can remember what I want to say.
The detective series about the guy on the tropical island is on tonight, we like that, something different. We watched the dancing on ice this week but had to rush through our recordings of it. Seemed fair enough to me, except I can stand that Jason :-P. I heard on the radio that Pamela Anderson was paid £150,000 for her appearance, no wonder the powers that be were a bit miffed when they voted her off! Why should she worry, money in the bank, eh. Well. one things for sure, we won't see any more 'costume malfunctions' - she made a b**of it! :-D
OK, I'm off now, try a post a bit more in the week. C Y A L

Evening all,
Will I would have made a fool of myself on DOI for £15,000 let alone £150,000. But there you go, she has boobs and I don't :-D :-D :-D
Liz, I thought this energy bust was over. !! Out little brown poodle hated Ros doing her feet, she would stand there showing her teeth, and giving Ros a real old fashioned look. She always pulled her foot out of Ros's hand, and when she did her nails, you would think she was being beaten to death , the row she made. <3 <3 <3
It's Holby time, so I will play cards or look on Ebay till 9.00 pm.
Shelia, THE BEST THING YOU CAN DO IS DON'T MENTION ME, AND I WON'T MENTION YOU, You know we will never see EYE to EYE over anything.

HI been to panto today and not been on here sorry Amanda did not mean to offend you somehow it all got out of hand.Perhaps I did not explain myself very well. I have to take Jasper for a operation on his tail tomorrow.I have not made any comment today at all was busy taking the kids to the panto it was Robinson Cruesoe with Brian Connerly and the lady out of Birds of a feather who played the friend it was a nice panto not a lot of story to it. But the boys got upset because I took them for some food in the theatre and instead of chips they got potatoe wedges. Then they went on the stage to talk to Brian when he asked the one lad did you injoy the panto he said no there was not any potatoe wedges Brian said whoes the person who did not get him chips the little lad said over there that lIght went on me and there I was sat with a cardigan that looks like it is inside out with seams and toggles my thermal boots, Brian said come here and I had to go onto the stage then he said have you got your cardigan inside out I said no he said you have I said i have not then all the audience shouted Oh yes you have he whispered to me Brian Connerly shout oh no I havent I went to shout that and my words did not come out. It was all fun but could have done without going up on the stage but did get a kiss ,This is the fifth panto Brians Connerlys done in Birmingham next year will have to pay myself if I wish to take them Birmingham councils cut it expenses for the year by half. its Snow White next year so he wIll not be in it.
Jane its ok I did not mean for it all to turn into a argument. Glad Fiona is better .
Mel glad you liked my photo but it is only a head one the rest of me is a bit knaff. I do hope Jasper will be ok he is eleven.
HAVE A GOOD EVENING Michelle was getting really upset over the comments on the computor should I go off altogether do you think is popping on a good idea I love to read the threads at least I can sit and read them now .Jessica is coming home for while in the summer with the children. America was a big mistake believe me it scared me to death nearly all the lights went out and there was big black swirling clouds .I wanted to go skating in Time Square

Jaspers having a lump removed from his tail have to collect him later. Frank I have nothing against you I complimented your jokes and said I loved the pictures of your front and back garden you involve yourself in my things me not you and I did apologise to Mandy I like her and it was mean to say that I started this rumpus Shell was the one to see what she thought was a conversation with people on here and she went on about I had left and not informed anyone I was too busy living my life was was gruesome.
I simply thought I had offended some people had I known it was going to cause such an issue I would not have returned to Genes gift or no gift from Michelle and Sophia I have been really upset with everything else that happened and nobody to talk about it.
Everytime I come on there is a comment .its a Genes page not a space fpor argument. .

I am taking a complete break from the thread. I don't want to get myself upset, and get in a bad temper over things, I will consider my future on here when I get my head together, in the meantime I will pop in and read the postings.
See you all.
