Frank, I never saw your post but you certainly CAN bother us with your troubles........we are all good friends here. Two bits of good advice from Mandy and Jane.........let off steam here and don't do anything rash. Things will calm down again like they have before, given time.

Jane, I thought I was the only one who 'held' my breath' when someone near me starts sneezing or coughing. Then I walk away if I can! lol

I hope your throat doesn't lead to anything more Mandy. Once you've been really poorly like you were you take care with the smallest sniffle.

Frank

Frank Report 2 Dec 2012 22:21

Thanks to all, Listening to Katherine Jenkins, smooths the brow. I hope.

I have been playing games on here all evening. Shoulders are aching like mad, being bent over this. and clicking on all the cards. !!!

I know most of the troubles are caused by my TEMPER and frustration, but when I let off steam, Ros gets the brunt of it. The trouble is neither of us wants to back down, and things arew said. God knows what the neighbours thought. With all the souting and balling. Fishermens wifes or what !!!!

I was going out to the pub, but thought better of it. Cause more trouble than it's worth.!!!! :-) :-)

I'm calm again now, so will get a glass of coke and get to bed for a read.

William

William Report 2 Dec 2012 22:38

Frank, glad things are calmer there. No need to apologise to us (I know I'm only the 'new boy') but we all have short memories when need be. And you're right, going to the pub wouldn't have solved anything.

When Carmel and I have a spat, it's usually forgotten next day and we can't even recall what it was all about, not that it happens often. BUT 24 hours together under the wrong circumstances when there's only 2 of us can get very wearing.

Keep smiling and keep our mail boxes full of your fun ;-) ;-) ;-)

Morning All and Eveningn Kim,

Brightish out there now and it is not raining................yet.

I hope Frank is feeling better this morning and he and Ros are speaking. I missed yesterdays post from Frank which he removed.

I got another wreath done yesterday inbetween other things but do you think I could find another one I knew I had started? I did when it was too late. I had hung it on the clemetis and forgotten I had done that.

Jane

Morning/Evening All

I have lots to do today .Sorting out all my kitchen things and deciding what to keep in the kitchen or New cupboards in the Utility.
Gas man here between 12 and 6 to sort radiator and will do the yearly boiler service too.

Is it safe in the Bedford Household this morning I wonder.Frank I hope you both slept well and that things are now all forgotten.Mmmm! yes your poor neighbours :-S.I bet they got their ear plugs out lol

Wet and dreary here today - do hope that you are feeling better Frank, these upsets can be quite exhausting and take a bit of getting over. I find that listening to music is a great calmer, together with deep breathing! Just had L on the phone - she's got toncillitis. (again!) When she was 15 she had glandular fever and was hospitalised for a few days, so recurrences are always a bit of a worry. I shall ring tomorrow and if necessary go over to check things out. A bit brighter now, so shall take Millie for a walk.

Frank

Frank Report 3 Dec 2012 11:20

MORNING ALL.

Laid and read till 1.00 am. then sleept like a log till 7.30. Had by three cups of tea and two eggs, three rashers two slices of toast and a pile of Baked Beans. I'm stuffed now. That will see ne through till tonight. But I didn't hardly eat yesterday due to the disaster will the lunchtime meal. To cap it all, the young neighbour is refitting his kitchen, and has no cooker. His wife took the baby and all her washing to her Mums for the weekend, leaving Johnathan at home with Mason. like a silly old sod that I am, I offered to cook him a dinner. Roast Chicken breasts in a sauce with sliced onions, Roasts, and all the various vegs. He bought the plates back last night and said how lovely it was. !!! That just about finished me after the mess I cooked.

I am going to make an appointment with the doctor, to see if I can get some stronger medication for my depression and temper. I think a lot of it is boredom. I don't go out much, and all I do this weather is sit and read, or on my computer.

The tree is up and the lights are on. Now all the decorations will have to be sorted. I know it will look great as usual.

It's Carolyns birthday today, so Ros is taking her to Beckwith for lunch and do a bit of shopping. So HOME ALONE AGAIN !!! GREAT lol lol

John and Carolyn are off to Tenneriffe on Saturday. Their usual lift is busy, so Ros is taking them to Luton for 10.00 am :-

There was a beautiful Rainbow here this morning, it was peeing of rain, and the sun came out. I went out to catch it with my camera, but don't know how it's turned out. If any good I will forward it on.

Mel Fairy Godmother

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 3 Dec 2012 12:02

We have had a lot of rainbows lately. It always reminds me of the rainbow in the bible that God sent to tell everyone there would be no more flooding. It dos'nt seem to work that way now..............sad.

I do love to see a rainbow though. A little bit of magic. When you think about it there are some wonderful things to see on or from this earth.

Just delivered the first three wreaths to the shop up the road. They make it look nice and Christmassy now as I put them on the sill of the window of the shop.

Frank is the upset forgotten now between you and Ros?

Frank

Frank Report 3 Dec 2012 16:09

Yes Mel, I assume so, so spoke to me this morning. :-D :-D :-D

Quicky and easey dinner tonight. Mince, I add Brown sauce, lee Perrins, Garlic Bist# and Ox#.

Carolyn bought round a fresh cabbage, parsnips andbrussels. from her allotment. I say hers, shw pays the rent and buys all the seeds/plants for it. She has someone who does it. CAN'T BE BAD. Lady of the Manor !!!! So I have done half a cabbage, a big parsnip and brussels for me.

Started to spot of rain here again, after a fine sunny, cold day.

Might go for a pint tonight and watch a bit of football. Ros's been out all day so I can go out for a couple of hours this evening. That way I will see other people also.
and have a chat.

;-) ;-) ;-)

Did you all get the photo of the rainbow ???

William

William Report 3 Dec 2012 17:17

Rainbow duly received Frank, no sign of Judy Garland and her red slippers ;-)

Jane

Jane Report 3 Dec 2012 17:19

Frank .Glad to see you back on form again today. It is probably good that Ros has gone off to Beckworth with Caroline as it will have given you a day to both chill.
Good idea though to make a visit to your GP.I hope he manages to help you out with better meds.

The Gasman is here now.................

I started this post ages ago.He has gone now.Good thing the radiator is fixed.
BUT when he serviced the boiler he found a LEAK in it :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S.He actually whispered the word LEAK as I had told him all that we have just been through lol.You should have seen my face.Anyway he will be back on Wednesday with new part, but it will mean draining the whole system down AGAIN.Also while he is at it will fit a new pump in the airing cupboard.
This is getting ridiculous.I think there must be a spell on this house .I think we should rename the house something like Waterhouse.....or Watergate or something. He said he has had to put a warning sticker on the boiler but it will be fine to use until he comes back.
I can't wait to see Chris's face when he gets in :-D
I said to the engineer that the word Leak is a swear word now here and is banned.

I better start getting dinner now.My fish free Paella.Chicken ,Chorizo, and Smoked Ham.

Annx Report 3 Dec 2012 17:31

Glad things are ok now Frank :-D

I have to be quick as OH has been on here all day and we are now off to an evening with Michael Portillo at Warwick! I think he should be quite interesting.

I went to Al*i this morning and met 2 people I used to work with!! One used to be a manager of one of the city offices.......times must be hard! The other friend was buying veg to help do a dinner for the 'old folks'. She does it 3 times a week and she is aged 77!! lol :-D :-D It seems a long time since we used to play badminton at lunchtimes. :-S We had quite a chinwag.

Hope your throat is better Mandy.......Jane I really think you should get a water diviner......all these leaks!! Have they turned your water pressure up?

Toodle pip.......... :-D :-D

Mel Fairy Godmother

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 3 Dec 2012 18:38

O Jane not another one. You must really be fed up with all these leaks and I can understand how it is now a swear word in your house.

I think we should make it the local swear word for the thread!!

I may have to wait for my Christmas present as the new type are coming in by the 17th of this month. They have a new kind of case that is more waterproof then the other ones. They are advertised on ebay as the updated ones but they are NOT. Oh had a good old chinwag with the bloke who imports them. He said he was on the phone for a good twenty five mins.

Evening everyone,

The day started off really dull and rainy ,then sun got out ,i tootled off to Norwich this after noon to change the Jogging bottoms that i bought and were he wrong size.
Went on one of those Bendy buses :-S on the park and ride ,very quite on there about five people going and a dozen coming back!!
Also popped into M&S and got some nice chocolate biscuits for christmas .
Throat seems better today , i really thought yesterday i was coming down with some thing !!!
I bet it's biding it's time and will hit at christmas !! LOL

Frank , glad to hear it has all calmed down now and you didn't do any thing rash ,lovely rainbow ,good idea a visit to the Doc, they can work wonders you know :-)

Oh no Jane not more water problems !! i won't say the L swear word !! lets hope when the boilers done it will be the end of it , i mean how many Seepages can one house have :-S :-S

Ann, lovely photo's of the little Tit ,you were lucky to get them, they really dart about don't they .

Oh Mel i was looking forward to seeing what's about in your garden at night ,now we'll have to wait a little longer :-)

William

William Report 3 Dec 2012 19:14

Started putting the Chistmas decs up today, nearly all done. Some more lights to put up tomorrow but not a lot else. We'll be here on our own but that won't matter. Got some pressies for Carmel, don't know what 'surprise' to get her yet - something will turn up. I've still got to get her card, but like last year I can't seem to get a decent sincere card for 'Wife', I think I'll have to revert to making one again. It was the same last year, unless you want 'cutie' ones with cr*p verses, you're stuck for choice.

I think the best greeting we can give to Jane is 'Have a DRY Christmas and a WATERLESS New Year'. I think she should change her surname to S P O N G E!!! :-)

Royal Variety tonight, and we still have Katherine Jenkins to watch from last night. Nice to have something 'in the bag' for a change.

Ann, that lovely little long tailed Tit .I haven't seen any here for a while, but I just love them.
Good job your throat has settled Mandy.I'll keep everything crossed for you that it doesn't flare up .

I made a right pigs ear this morning .Trying to cut Sticky Back Plastic lining to go on the shelf of the Welsh Dresser.Gave it up as a lost job.It all went in the bin.Chris has come home with a new roll......He can do it :-D :-D

Just ready now for dinner.Paella was something never heard of in my childhood. It would have been thought of as 'That foreign muck'

Frank, don't worry about having the occasional row with your OH

Me and Ellen quarrel,no holds barred.
If this bungalow was detatached instead of being a semi there might be more.

They never seem to have a radio on or a TV or music.
They must either look at each other or listen to us or both.
If they want to join in we all let off steam LOL

Mel Fairy Godmother

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 3 Dec 2012 20:43

Jane I am afraid to say that I think it is "that foreign muck" too. I would'nt touch it with a barge pole.
