Evening everyone,

Finally got to Norwich today with DIL and the two little ones , we went on the park and ride which is better than queueing for the car parks ,glad to get home after walking round the shops though , Katie was asleep as soon as she got in her car seat bless her .

It's lovely news about the new baby ,it will give Fiona a bit of a boast ,hope she's soon back on here with us <3

Oh Jane what a lot of water in the garden !! i can just see Chester having fun and games in there !! what a mess in the garage too .
Good idea of Mel's about raising the machines off the floor , would make it easier to get the clothes out of the machine too i think , i always seem to have to stretch to the back of the machine to retrieve a lone sock !!!
Dear little William, i don't know how you let them take him back with them :-D didn't you want to keep him :-D :-D and those eyes so lovely and dark !!

Hope you managed to sort your washer out , mine has a pause button so if i push that then turn it off you can then reset it to the right programme .

William, what a trek you had !! good job you didn't have an appointment !! at least you got there in the end :-D

Central heating system was repaired this afternoon :)

There was nothing wrong with the boiler,the room thermostat was done in and a new one is in its place.

Nice to have a warm house again :)

Just in time too David I should think as they say it is going to get colder.

Made a chicken, mushroom, brocolli pie today in a cheesy sauce. Used the rest of the pastry for jam tarts 5 strawberry and 5 lemon curd. Bl**dy pie boiled over as I only put pastry on the top. Less fattening that way!! :-D Now I asm waiting for the potatoes as they went off the boil!! :-S

Jane it would have to be a good strong platform as the washing machine may travel otherwise. I am sure it would be the kind of thing we would do just incase of another flood at any time in the future.

Off to dish up now.

It must have been nice to meet Frank and Ros and I hope they had a safe journey home.

Mandy ,I could have just eaten William.He was just sooooo cute.Those Eyes!!!!!.It is just so sad that he will have never known his Mum :-( Fitz just loved him too..He is a big old softy.

I hope Frank and Ros got home alright.It was dark when they left here.

My Lamb and Mint Pinwheels look and smell good.Just hoping I haven't overdone the mint.

Talking of 'names'. On another thread I noticed: a little girl named Silver Smith! But get this, some poor little lad called Wayne Kerr!!!! think of having to go to school with a name like THAT. overtones of child abuse! Jack Boote is another - oh dear poor children!

Well I am here finally today.

Was up with my WHITE FRIEND all night. Went to bed at 11 pm had a read. Went to the loo about 12.00 pm then settled down. Not for long. Tummy rembles and off we went. Every 40 minutes till 7.30 am !!! I finally got to sleep.

Ros had to ring Jane to say we would go this afternoon. Kept her in SUSPENDERS till 3.30 pm. What a welcome, Not only from Jane and Chris. but CHESTER. He's a friend for life. A lot smaller than I expected as was Jane <3 <3 We had a good old natter and tea. Left about 5 ish. Chris lifted the Trolley into the car for me.., then off we went.

The road from Kettering was very busy, and when we got close 2 miles from the M1 the road was solid with traffic. Took us ages to get through. (They were repairing the overhead signs) Why they couldn't do those jobs in the middle of the night, I will never know.

We turned off and went to the Harveste#, for a meal, and got home about 7.15 pm.

Nice to have a dry day, even though it was cold.

I have told Jane Chester has a home when she goes on Holiday, so it's up to her.

I am totally knackered, and tires out. Time for dressing gown, and an early night.

Mandy, I bet little Katie was worn out. Did you come back loaded up? It seems to be getting busier earlier this year to me. Yes, I am 'flashing' away.........what with that and the funny bulges under my clothes where you fasten it, I'll be keeping my cardi on this week!! I had a look at the washing machine and couldn't see anything on mine to 'pause' it. I can't believe I can't find the handbook. :-S All the other books for things are all together, but I think I may have left this one 'handy' somewhere when it went wrong last time in case it happened again! Anyway, I did find some instructions I wrote down saying how to clear 'error' messages on it, so I tried that several times and finally it worked!!!! :-D Now it is washing away on the right cycle!!

William, what a rigmarole you had getting to Nuneaton! We went to Fosse Park at teatime yesterday.....half a mile down the road, but as soon as we turned onto the main road we saw it was a mistake, as it was total gridlock. We think there must have been an accident on the motorway as the traffic had all backed up from the motorway junction.

Well, I'm definitely losing the plot .........tried to put the kettle in the fridge instead of the milk just now!! lol.

Sounds like Chester has another 'FAN' Frank.......did he bring his toys to show you? Hope you get a good rest tonight.......a good sleep is what you need after being up all night.

I havent been well.Had some new tablets last week as I have tennis elbowThey gave me stomach cramps..

Then came back from my sons Sunday night after going to the g childrens xmas fete and watching the lights being put on my Garerh Gates and Paula Wilcox saturday night.in the poring rain....Just got into bed an d my husband and I stated being sick etc..Caught the winter vomiting bug that the g chilren had the week before..Must of still been lingering in the house..I dont want that again in a hurry.K.Nocks the stuffing out of you.,Manage to get into work today..Alan and I are off to south creake on sat for a few days so I need to feel 100%.....At least the weather outlook should be dryJust very cold...

Perhaps I can do some last min xmas shopping there..I have been told to go to Holt to see the xmas lights tthere as well..

A few years ago Ellen had the worst case of gastric enteritis / flu for 3 weeks during which I nursed her.
No sooner was she on the mend and I went down with the flu / bronchitis and she nursed me.

There are alot of bugs going around now...My son informs me chicken pox is now i n the schools again..Not all his have had that yet.

I bet and you were not expecting to catch that off of Ellen after all that time... you poor pair..

Pat all that water was washed down off the top field and because of blocked culvert/ditch or something it all ended up down here :-S.
Last minute shopping Pat!!!! I have barely started mine :-S Hope you feel well again by the time you go tomorrow.

I am just going to get some ironing done now before getting this bus to town .I have decided to get the 1 o'clock one and then I will have an hour and a bit to do a bit of shopping before my haircut.Better make sure I know where to get the bus home from .

Well now we have lovely sunshine again today but there has been a hard frost and its still out there as I type, where the sun has'nt got to yet.

I have to get the advent ring done today for the church as this will be the first Sunday before Christmas to light a candle. It seems to come round sooner each year!

Hogarth has been out of the box down the garden as the little sticks were down this morning and you can see sort of frozen tracks on the grass. I can't wait to get my Christmas Pressy this year and see who else I am feeding at night. I know the mice visit the saucer as they leave me thier droppings The question is do they eat all the food or just hte crumbs??

Jane you are brave going on a bus. I don't think I could go on one now as I have'nt been on one since school days. Used to catch a number 47 I think to Gants Hill or get a train. It was only one stop on the train.

Just opened my new pack of cereal and put it in my bowl and I have bought the wrong one!!!!!!!! It has the red berries but they are just Cranberries and Raspberries and not my usual strawberry's Rasps and cherries. It also has creamy bits of rice stuff in it. They remind me of the milk gums we used to buy in the sweet shop........... and taste like them too.
