Morning All/Evening Kim,

Forgot to mention, we found a pumpkin in the local Garden centre. Only one left and a giant of a thing I measured it when Lewis carried it in. It's four foot round and 3' 6" from stork to stork, if you know what I mean. I now have to find out a craft knife, so I can sculpture a face for it <3 <3

Ros is with the nurse having her stiches out. Then this afternoon Lewis at Dentist. The orthadontist said yesterday he needs 4 (FOUR) baby teeth out, to allow his big teeth room to get through. He's not looking forward to that :-0 :-0 :-0

Nice morning here so far, like yesterday, but look how that turned out. !!!!

My wallflower seeds have all taken and the plants are about an inch high. I must get to and transplants them into bigger pots.

Fish and Chips tonight so no cooking.

Do you put a stick across the entrance to hedgy's house to TRIP him up. Wicked Auntie MEL. !!!

Must put the News on to see how things are in New York. Haven't heard since last night.

I don't know about a Cardie Jane, I am in a pair of shorts with no top on, and just a pair of slippers.

LOL Mel ,do you need a kick up the backside to get you going today :-D.I have jsut stopped for a coffee.I've been a busy little Bee.(haven't done any leaves though)
I have been trying to gently sweep the floors but it doesn't matter how softly I do it there are still clouds of concrete dust billowing up :-S :-S.So then I had to wipe down all the surfaces and things on the worktops.I suppose each time we walk on the floor it just dislodges more concrete. Both Chester and me have been sneezing well lol

Anyone want to see Hannah's Brain?
She emailed me her scans she had done (for research). One is quite spooky!

Frank can we have a picture of the pumpkin please?????????? With our Lewis of course :-D :-D :-D :-D

Jane I do need a kick up the backside sometimes. I have done the bathroom loo and handbasin and oh took the tap tops off for me to clean inside them so they are all spick and span now. Another saying parents used to use!! It's nice that is'nt it "Spick and Span"

Just the shower to do now and clean out my big peanut bin in the bath before I finish up on that.

Afternoon everyone,

I don't know where the morning has gone , i went out to have my blood taken just after nine and did a little shopping in town ,home and had a coffee and then turned the lounge out , pulled the sofa out which is a bit of a job as it is so heavy, i was quite surprised as it wasn't to bad underneath ,i did find one of Toby's little biscuits under there ,i wondered why he was going nuts the other day he kept poking his nose under the sofa and pawing i suppose he could smell it !!

Nice and sunny here now after a misty start , all those poor people in America ,no electric and homes flooded out , hope Shirl's ok in Canada as they said it was heading that way too.

Crikey Frank that pumpkin sounds a size !!! how the devil did you lift it ? you'll want quite a few night lights to light that one up !!

Oh i'd like to have a look at the scans Jane , don't think i've ever seen a brain scan before .

Pat , lovely photo's of the children , don't they all look nice dressed up ,she's a little cutie on the left , reminds me of my Chelsea !! lovely one of the family too.

Where's William !!! we haven't heard from him for a while have we.

No we hav'nt heard from our William???

Hope everything is alright with Carmel and him.

I have spoken to Frank on the phone and given him his lesson for today via Lewis. I spoke to him first and asked him to show Pappy how to copy and paste!! :-S He said he will so we will see. It will save our Frank so much time if he can do it. Bless.......

Time to feed oh now so be back later.

Hi all,

Bit of peace. Ros has taken Lewis to dentist.

We weighed the pumpkin this morning 23 1/2 lbs. He wanted to do a carving of a little DEVIL on it. Si I cut the top off, cleaned out the centre. and left him to it. He made a good image, then tried to trim it up and cut into the nose and it all colapsed. NOT THE PUMPKIN the face. !! He moved it round and tried something else and that didn't work. He wouldn't let Ros or I help him. Independant little Bu####. But he has to learn himself. Now it sits on the worktop in the kitchen, don't know what he will do with it now :-( :-( :-(

He hasen't given me my lesson yet Mel, He said he would do it when he gets back from the dentist. Lets hope she dosen't have to dpo anything today. !!!

Well it has stayed a nice afternoon.I am still in shorts. I have been and relocated the Bird Feeding Station. and filled it up with fresh seed, fat balls, and meal worms, Must get some peanuts this week. and perhaps a coconut.

Back to my book for an hour.

Afternoon All,

What a pumpkin Frank............sounds like Lewis will end up with 'Frankenstein' if he keeps cutting. It must be quite a delicate job cutting the face out, something I have never done. I hope the dentist isn't too much of an ordeal for him......better sorted now than later when he's older.

Mel, I think I need one of those 'kicks' too. No energy or motivation lately and still can't get off to sleep at night. There is so much I need to do as well. I need to pull the sofas and beds out!

We saw the Bond film this afternoon, but we should have waited a while as it was quite busy. OH got fed up with all the adverts, 35 minutes of them before the film even started!! Judi dench and Daniel Craig were both very good. The cinema was absolutely freezing though and I was glad I had my cardi on as well as my coat. Now OH has gone to Gainsborough to a match with one of his pals.

My watch face I sent for ready for when we do a beaded watch arrived today. It is like a little silver flower! :-D As it came from China it has 3 nice 'bird' stamps on the package.......any collectors?

I had an email from William a couple of days ago and he sounded fine.....had been out for the day to where I took the last pic I sent and told me about some more airfields around here.

Jane, can I see Hannah's brain too?

You have been busy Pat. I suppose you will be searching out a wedding outfit soon! When are they getting married?

I was wondering how poor Fiona was getting on with her new treatment and if it was helping....hope so!

Phoned my Doctor for the results of the Spyrometry test I had.

She said the results were quite good but for a minor bit of obstruction probably caused by years of smoking.

Thanks Pat for those lovely photos. It is so nice to see young ones dressed up in 'best' clothes for a special occassion.

Oh dear Shirl ...Hips,Back and eyes .You must be very uncomfortable :-(.I hope things get easier for you pdq.Glad to weren't hit by the storm.

Ann email sent :-D
35 minutes of adverts at the cinema would drive me bl**** scatty. It's far too long :-SI am not a James Bond fan so doubt I will see the film.
That sounds very pretty (watch face). No stamps needed here thankyou.I have enough to try and find out if they are of any value. They were my Aunty Betty's husbands and I think are nearly all second world war german ones.I know absolutely nothing about stamps.A bit like the Autograpgh book lol

David that is good your Spyrometry test was pretty good. How often do you have to have one?

I'm glad William is ok,but haven't heard anything from Fiona .I'll leave it a bit longer and if I don't hear then I will give her a tinkle.

Meatballs and Spaghetti tonight.

David

David Report 30 Oct 2012 18:31

It was was my first Spyrometry and possibly the last.
Earlier I'd had an ECG and a chest X ray that were OK

But for 40 years of the tabs I'd have the heart and lungs of a young athlete ;-)

Oh thanks for the scan photo's Jane , i've never seen any brain scans before ,the colored one looks really pretty :-D

What a shame about the pumpkin , so easy to cut in the wrong place and it all falls apart , i'am sure he'll do some thing with it .

Glad to hear your still in one piece Shirl i did wonder if you would get the storm, hope your back and hips soon feels better .

Ann, what do you have to do with the watch face? is it a strap you have to bead ?
No stamp collectors here , i think some of those foreign stamps are really pretty .
That's a long time to sit and watch adverts !!i would have got fed up sitting there waiting, i quite like the Bond films .

I went into the wool shop to get a pattern to knit the little ones a hat , i've knitted mitts and scarves for them ,and while i was in there i was looking at a scarf that they had on the counter ,it was knitted in a ribbon material, it's a ribbon that's about two inches wide and has holes along the top edge ,it knits up all frilly and looks really pretty .

Has Ros seen it Frank ? i know she knitted all those ruffles scarves last year .

Sons now on his third week of no smoking , so he's doing well.
Feels really chilly out side now .

Glad you liked the 'Brain ' Mandy :-D.Well done your son for sticking with 'giving up'
Just had a call from Fiona. She is doing ok slowly slowly. But she sounds a different person which is great :-D :-D.She sends her love to all .Her tablets are going to be upped to see if it will speed up her recovery. So fingers crossed for her <3
It was really good to hearing her sounding so much more cheerful :-D

Annx Report 30 Oct 2012 19:48

Thanks for the pics Jane........now she has proof she has a brain in there and a good one too! lol. The red one is very interesting and the picture is so clear too.

Shirl it is awful when you can't sit or stand for long and have to keep on the move from one to tother. Now your specs broken too. If mine broke I would have to wear my prescription sunglasses and be stumbling around! I hope you get them fixed soon and that the hips and back ease.

Mandy your son is doing well....3 weeks is a good start! I had a peek at the video.....fascinating! I wonder how people manage to come up with these ideas. :-) We will be making beaded bracelets from several designs to attach to the watch faces. I seem to remember one the teacher brought to show us the first week had circles of beads with a centre linked together so I thought the flower shape would go well. I had to wait a while for this one, but they were half the price of some others.

Oh sometimes says 'toodlepip' or 'tattybye'. You don't hear children called 'nippers' these days either.

Jane

Jane Report 30 Oct 2012 20:11

Chris came home giving me funny looks. He was trying to make me notice his new specs lol....£600 pounds.......I need a lie down :-S.....Why couldn't he have NHS ones like he did when he was a little boy??? What a flipping price. He has varifocals with the lens that goes dark in sun/daylight.
My eye with the cyst thing has flared up again today :-S.As out Mel would say 'Bum'
I found the antibiotic ointment I used last time so hopefully that will help calm it down.

Just had a knock at the door......someone delivering a curry. They are just a mile or two out from where it should be delivered :-S :-S....I could actually quite fancy a curry ,but will make do with the Meatballs and Spaghetti that is now ready :-D
