Mel, as you have noticed I don't send you much, but I thought you would enjoy those.!!! I had no idea it had been that long since you lost MUM. What a lovely surprise for hendy, to find he has his own little HOTEL. Lets hope he uses it in the winter. Will you puts loads of wollens, and straw in there for him ???
Glad MIL has come through her Op O.K. Ann, and that FIL is finding his independence going well. If he's not use to answering the phone, you will have to put the answer phone on. It's so easy to rake up the miles travelling to and fro. When Ros was in Oxford after one of her back operations. I would travel back and forth every day after work to see her. Not far off 100 miles a day. seven days a week. Good job it was a Company car and my boss didn't mind me useing all that petrol. Your hairdresser seems the type that would give an old man like me a heart attach, seeing her dressed like that ;-) ;-) ;-)
The "jackets" were just right tonight. Nice crispy skins and fluffy insides. I'm thinking of a chicken casserole tomorrow.Must use up some mushrooms.
Ros is watching some hospital serial, it's been on a few weeks, I'm not always here on a Monday if there is a good match on Sk#. So I don't know the story, and not that bothered about James Nesbitt.
I am getting a bit feed up with all the SAVILLE news. He sounds as though he was a right B#####. even molesting his niece. How many other will come out of the woodwork. ??? I think his face should be blocked from the screen when they are reporting on it. His victims, must squirm when they see his face. Poor people. !!!
Off to eBay, see you in the morning.

Mel.....I can't believe it is 2 years since you lost your Mum.Where did those last 2 years go?? Ann your hairdresser sounds like she dresses like the girls where I go.It's like a fashion show sometimes lol..Have to say I wish I could dress like them :-D...Dream on ;-) I hope Hedgy finds his little home Mel :-D
I am the only one left up now.Even Chester has gone to bed.So I think i will go to bed too.I have my Kindle ready to read but will wait a little while until I'm sure Chris is dead to the world as sometimes the little light on the Kindle disturbs him. The fog looks like it is just rolling in now :-|.I told James to drive carefully in the morning as he leaves jut after 6 and it will be really thick. Night Night x No Kim for a couple of days.I hope she is ok.

Morning to my little angels, and Will and David (HALLO SAILOR)
Damp horrible morning here also, but not cold.
Peace and quiet here. Ros has gone off with Carolyn. As soon as she walked out the door OFF went the box !!! I have prepaered a chichen casserole for tonight. with the last of my own potatoes.
I managed to find a frame for my Garden vac bag, Now the job will be fitting it. Anything Parts you need in that sort of thing, also vacum cleaners fridges W/machins You should try espares. They are brillient in helping also the service is great. I use them quite often.
Mel, Those photo's were great, and he looks so well. I have a pile of old wood behind the shed, so hope mine finds a place to hibernate, and have babies. They are so cute when first born. Thanks for all the info, I will look at my tree in a few minutes.
My silly neighbour has put out a rotary line of WASHING. It will be wetter when she takes it in, than when she put it out. Senseless or what !!!!
Is your heating working allright now Jane, or have you fiddled with it and broken it again :-D :-D :-D My, James was up and away early this morning, I was awake but still tucked down in bed.!!!
Liz Hope everything goes well the the Dentist. OKur Lewis has a female dentist, and he thinks she's great.
I havent eaten yet today, so might go a do a ham and cheese sarnie. That will keep me going till this evening.

OMG Mandy. Now I have heard of Rats coming up the loo but never a Frog lol We will all be checking the bowl now before we sit down :-S :-S Still murky here.A right old miserable day again. Fitz has just gone to visit his Mother. He will be a bit late as we were chatting again about his Grandmothers family the Mankiewicz. Someone got in touch with me yesterday saying she is researching the family .I explained it is actually Fitz's family (not mine) and have given Fitz her email .They will be getting in touch in the next few days.So we wait and see if anything new comes to light regarding that George who 'adopted 'Edith (Fitz's G Mother) :-D
Mandy I know you like your Toad in the Hole.Do you watch 'This Morning'with Phil and Hollie. They did a recipe this morning with some kind of Meatballs in a batter. How do I find the recipe???It looked delicious.

Is this the one Jane ? sounds tasty .
Fog hasn't cleared here all day ,needed the lights on early tonight .
Lisa Faulkner cooks up a personal family favourite using homemade sausage patties - just like mum used to make!
Serves 4 (fills a 3 1/2 litre dish)
Ingredients:
For the batter:
450 ml whole milk 4 eggs 175g plain flour (I always sieve it twice) 2 teaspoons mustard powder salt and pepper
For the sausage meat:
500g sausage meat 1 shallot, finely chopped 4 rashers streaky bacon, chopped 1 apple, peeled and grated 1 tablespoon chopped fresh sage 1 clove of garlic, finely chopped 75ml olive oil, for the oven pan 15ml olive oil, for browning the patties
Method:
1. Preheat oven to 180C/Gas 4.
2. First make the batter; in a bowl mix the flour, mustard powder, salt and pepper. Whisk the eggs in to the milk. Make a well in the centre of the flour mixture and pour in the egg/milk mixture. Beat in and set aside.
3. In a large bowl mix together the sausage meat, shallot, grated apple, bacon, sage, garlic , salt and pepper and shape into 6 little patties.
4. Heat 15ml (1 tsp) olive oil in a frying pan and just brown the patties.
5. Pour 75 ml olive oil into an ovenproof dish and put it in the oven for about 7-10 minutes until the oil is smoking.
6. Add the patties and pour over the Yorkshire batter.
7. Put in the oven for 40 minutes or so.
8. Serve with onion gravy.
