Morning Mel, Morning all,
We had snow !!! looked out in the early hours and the car was white, all gone now but the sky is black one minute with hail then blue sky peeps through . Quite a wind too ,which is taking the leaves off the trees .
Anyone doing any thing nice this weekend ? not much happening here ,think it will be a lazy one .

I thought you might have had a bit of the white stuff Mandy. We just had the frost. The wind is enough to bite your nose off :-S :-S
James laid the fire before he went out so I think Hannah and Me will have a cosy afternoon.Us girls nipped over to Corby earlier as Hannah wanted a few bits from Primar*.Chris is in Cambridge for the day and won't be back until 6ish or so.
Mel I'm happy for you that you have some sun at last :-D :-D
Us girls are going to have scrambled egg and bacon for lunch.Maybe a few mushrooms for me too.
I don't think William has been here for a few days,or have I just missed him. The dog needs out .He looks desperate so I better move sharpish.

Snowed in Newcastle too but not a lot,it's freezing though. Lay half the night listening to my chest. It wheezes and rattles. Been 16 years since I quit smoking cigarettes, but I had been a smoker since I was 14.
Don't know whether to just ride it out or let the Doctor have a listen. I'm not expecting eternity, just a cure.

Afternoon All,
I'd let the doc have a listen David. You may have a chest infection that's best treated sooner than later. Fancy you folk having snow! We have the yellow stuff today, but the forecast looks like we won't have it the next few days. I bet it looks beautiful out in Rutland where Frank is. The trees will be looking great.
I thought about scrambled eggs today as well Jane! :-D. We sometimes see dead Badgers on one of the main roads near here where there are fields each side. I have never seen a live one in the wild though.....that would be such a treat.
The wolf programme was very good, but I can't help feeling sorry for their prey!!!!! Mind you I felt sorry for the wolves and their pups as well when they had to deal with a brown bear!!
Mel, I can't believe how cheap it is to have a table at your village hall!! Round here in the villages it is usually about £15 and then you are often limited to just a few hours. I think we could do with a bit of a clearout of things as well. :-S
Our gas and electricity supplier have just put up their charges by over 10%. Luckily our tariff won't change till 12 months is up, but we'll have to shop around again then. Things don't just go up by a few pence anymore do they.
I'd better do a few errands next......scarf on I think as it looks quite breezy out there.

Don't know if its been mentioned on here already,I don't read every one.
Did you see that in The Daily Mail about the government advising Doctors to allow untreated 3000 patients to die.
Some thing to do with patients ages and economics etc.
Might as well get a few cans in and a couple of bottles of Gin or Brandy.
Helps you fall asleep easier that the multitude of pain killers and sleeping tablets.
I must be getting old. :-P :-P

Wind or breeze is cold here too. I am just going up the tunnel to see if the frost made all the tomatoes fall off. I may have to pick all the green ones!! I have beans to pick too.

Afternoon all,
We arrived about 5.pm yesterday, Conrad had mada e a big daffy of Fish Pie for him,Jan and me. Ros had Steak, as she hates FISH. Didn't do anything last night, just sat with Tele on. They might have as well turned it off as they talked through all the programmes. I went off to bed about 11.00 for a read. I didn't feel Ros come to bed.
Sleept in till 9.30 am. Had my shower and shave. Conrad did a full English about 11.00. So the time we had that and cleared away it was after mid day.
Jan had to take some papers to the Accountant in Leicester. So we set of about 1.00 The traffic was very bad through Leicester. We dropped off what she had, and she went in. one hour later she appeared, and we set off for home. As we came out of Leicester, the clouds opened and we hsve had torrential rain for the last hour.
The girls wer going back out but decided not to. They are sitting in the lounge while I catch up with you.
We arrived home about 4.00 pm, and had a cup of tea.
There is a wallnut tree in the village by the church. As Ros hasn't had any "WET WALLNUTS" this year we decided to go and have a look round the tree. NOT ONE to be found. If it has been a bad year for them I don't know.
The hail is thundering down on the roof of the conservatory now !!!!
Glad hedgy is settleing in Mel,
Ann, I don't think I could live with your MIL. We would argue all day long. I couldn't stand someone being behind me all the time !!!!
Try to be back later.
Have a nice evening.

No David I didn't see that in the D Mail.Ann is right,if you are worried about your rattly wheezy chest do get it checked out.
Chris is on his way home from Cambridge. He has been to something called the Festival of Ideas. It sounds as though he has had a great day :-D :-D.He sent me some emails of pics of Pianos placed around Cambridge just for people to play lol.:ots of famous people too were at different venues .I think Kate Adie was one .He said he was in the queue for coffee with someone else off the TV,but he couldn't think who it was.....Typical....I would have asked lol
Ann I think we are on a fixed price with British G until 2014.Not sure about the Electric.
Well I am not cooking this evening.......Hannah is. :-D That will be a first.I think I will sit with a glass of wine by the fire and be waited on.I will have to be very tough with myself and not interfere .

I just realised I have been wearing my jumper inside out all afternoon.Well it wasn't me that noticed or Hannah. It was Chris when he got home.Good job I didn't go out in it. Glad Chris is home.I have just sent him out to fill the log basket :-D :-D Men come in handy sometimes!
Sheesh!!!!!!!I think Hannah might have been too OTT with the garlic for the spag bol! The smell is making my throat go all claggy :-S

How was the spag bol Jane??
We had pasta in cheese sauce with turkey ham, toms leeks and mushrooms all mixed together with cheese sprinkled on top. Did'nt do garlic bread as I had'nt got any!! :-(
Picked loads of beans up[ the tunnel but the frost last night had bitten their leaves a bit. Loads of toms too and the last cue. Courgettes have collapsed so I think it is time to clear everything out ready for next year. I shall leave the parsley on the end of one of the beds.

Serves you right, for not spoiling your daughter. <3 <3
I saw those pianos on the News Thursday evening, OMG what will they be like after aall this rain. I suppose it was a good way to get rid of those old pianos. No doubt the council will clear them away when it's over. What a great idea though !!!
David My mind was working overtime. You and all these "BLOW JOBS" in the doctors surgery. Hope you enjoyed them ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
They are all glued to the TV with NO LIKEY NO LIGHTY bloke and XXXX factor. I am trying to type this in the conservatory by the light of a table lamp by the side of the computer. The things I do to speak with you. :-D :-D :-D
I was reading my book earlier and went to move the light, but kept my finger on the page turner. When I looked down again to read. I THOUGHT i've read this, I had keept my finger on the page turner and gone back about 80 pages. Took me ages to find my page. Now it's ready for when I go to bed.
DON'T FORGET YOURS CLOCKS TONIGHT.

Oh i say David !! :-D i think they would have called you back if there was any thing wrong .
Jane its supposed to be lucky if you have something on inside out !! you'd have thought Hannah would have noticed :-D :-D LOL
I haven't seen any Wet Walnuts on the market this year yet , i did notice the nuts in Tesc*'s were a price , £3-50 for a very small bag , cheaper to buy them already shelled i think
What a day it's been , goodness we've had some heavy showers this afternoon, i had to take sister shopping between the showers ,Tesc*'s was packed .
BIL got a good report from the hospital ,he can start driving when he feels up to it and has to go back to the hospital in a years time ,so he was very pleased .

I always spoil my daughter Frank !!!..Well I stink now .I don't think I will be able to kiss or get near anyone for days with this Garlic breath :-S Mel the Spag Bol was actually really really tasty :-D
Mandy I'm not keen on the wet Walnuts.Much prefer the others. That is a heck of a price :-S :-S.Maybe I will just buy a few nuts to crack this year.I always get far too many and they get left .Then I realise they are still in the bowl weeks later and end up getting chucked out. What a waste :-S :-S
Oh My ! A little bitching going on on the XF with Gary and Tulisa (sp?).
I'm turning off the laptop now ,so see you all again in the morning.x
