Nice to see you Patricia.Hope it heals before too long. Bonjela could ease the soreness.
I was at the dentist on Monday. She poked and scraped and scratched, couldn't find any thing wrong so she cleaned them up a bit more than my tooth brush had.Got to go back in 6 months.
I was out the chair, out the building and half way down the road when I remembered I was going to ask her about a partial denture

Well, I have set my seeds. Potted on my Lupins, and hoovered the lawn of leaves. I lent my garden vac to my neighbours Mum and Dad when they were here doing a bit of gardening. I see the clip that release clip that connects the bag to the vac is now broken. !!! Why couldn't they have said something. Now looking for replacement. MORE EXPENCE Ros has bubbled wrapped the inside of the greenhouse, and we have transfered all the young plants from the conservatory to the greenhouse. Hope they will be allright. !!!
David, We are all getting the same, forgetting why we are there, or forgetting why we went into the shed/garage or the other room. IT'S CALLED AGEING .
Has anyone heard from Kim. ???

Mandy my Philly didn't melt.Is it supposed to? I think I would have preferred my Chicken without it to be honest. What a pity you didn't manage your trip to the coast today. Oh Pat that must be so sore. Your poor mouth.I hope it all heals soon.Touch wood I still have all my teggies. But I dread the day if I have to have any false ones. Which reminds me I have to make an appointment with my Dentist for my 6month check.
Frank when you say Ros has Bubble wrapped the greenhouse what exactly do you mean? Not all of it surely lolol You have been a busy boy doing all your seeds, and how rude of your neighbours not to mention the broken clip
:-S :-S.You won't be so keen to lend your garden vac to them again.I bet they hoped you wouldn't notice :-|
I have got one of those annoying twitchy eyelids.I haven't had one for a very long time. You think everyone can notice it but they can't (thank heavens). It makes you feel very conscious of it when you are talking to someone
I feel a grumpy old goat this afternoon.Trying cook with all the mess, and skirting around machines with hot pans .people coming in and out and Chester being a total nuisance because he can smell the meat.I will be glad when the XF and Downton is on later .I will just crash .I think Jess goes back to Uni this evening. She will get the train from Kettering so at least James won't have to drive to Northampton. Both of them are absolutely stuffed up with colds :-S

Tell them to keep it to themselves Jane.!!!
Ros puts two rows of bubble wrap all round the inside of the greenhouse. It helps keep the cold out in the bad weather. We even have a bit that clips over the inside of the door. :-D :-D I needed some vermiculite yesterday and Ros bought it from local garden centre, £5.55 for a small bag. Just bought 2 litres from Ebay including P & P for £5.35. and they say support your local business's Not at those prices.!!!!
Well dinner is over, I washed and dried up, while Ros sat and read the paper. She now has DOWNTON on again. Repeat from last week. I just looked up the lounge and it looks like she is ASLEEP. So much for Downton.
There is a very bright sun out there at the moment, very hazy. So I expect will will have a damp night.
Just put a few slices of bread on the lawn with some fat bits, from the meat, together with some Yorkshie pudding. That will all be gone by the time I look out tomorrow morning.
The Yorkshire pudding rose so much today, that I had to remove to top tray in the oven to get it out. I didn't do anything different today, so don't understand why.
Mel, Ros treated me yesterday to THREE bottles of "OLD SPECKLED HEN" £1,50 a bottle in Morriso#s. on offer. I read how it got it's name. It was after an old car that was used as a run about in the old M G factory in Birmingham. What a great pint of beer it is too.!!
Going to turn over T.V. see if she notices..

Afternoon All,
Another lovely day and my cold is improving a lot.........I feel much more like it today! Frank, OH would offer to do the 'goose grease' and take too long! ;-)
I remember the 'mardy' word too, at school kids would chant 'mardy b*m' if a friend was sulky about something. :-0 The game of 'tick' was called 'pod' when I moved to Leics too. Mum always washed the 'pots'. I may have said this before, but a work colleague from Manchester years ago called the clothes horse a 'clothes maiden'.
I think I have the KING of forgetfulness here today!! When we went out this morning he only went and left 2 bedroom windows open on the front, one of them a BIG one and it is a bungalow!! He couldn't believe he'd done it as he is usually most particular to check everything.
Pat that's a nuisance about your teeth. Lets hope they are ok when the soreness goes.
Jane, the old school did smell the same!! I hadn't thought about that. It was lovely to see the cloakroom as I walked by with all the pegs and some drawstring 'pump' bags hanging on some just like we had.
Just been looking at this site which others may find useful:

So typical Jane. What do you think we men do all day, sit around on our ar## :-D :-D :-D
X factor is on, why they call it the "results" I don't know so far they have only had stars on if you can call them that. Lionna sounded allright, but that other thing needs singing lessons. !!! Have just heard a lot of crying going on. IT'S THAT CAMP BLOKE. Ros said.
Have just opened my 1st bottle, It tastes like nectar. After another one or two I will be anybodies. ANY TAKERS ;-) ;-) ;-)
I had a tray of prawns with the skins on for tea, with a nice bread roll. Might tackle a bowl of mussels before bed. Lunch tomorrow will be a plate of Sardines, done on the BBQ weater permitting.
Downton just started.

Good morning all, no rain, that's a blessing at least.
Completely filled the green bin yesterday after unleashing my secatuers on the shrubs. I was going to catch the lass next door and borrow hers this mornin but I didn't wake till 7.50am and she would be off to work by then. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing - it's an excuse anyway not to attack the garden again!
I don't usually sleep that late but we were late going to bed as we watched the Classic Brit awards and it was a cracking show. I usually hate awards progs, all a case of seeing who's who in the audience and the old pals act, mention as many big names as you can and watch little clips of things you saw anyway. But not last night, it was first class music all the way.
It's going to be a funny day as Carmel has got an appointment at the George Eliot hospital at 6.40pm tonight. That's right, 6.40 pm, not a mis-type! The dentist has referred her to the maxilofacial consultant there due to her problem and they phoned to say they are putting on extra clinics to play catch-up. The letter came to confirm it on Saturday, it had his name but not the clinic name so I googled it this morning and it confirmed he's the maxilo man. She was under his predecessor, Mr John Fagan for years, he was an absolute marvellous man but he retired sadly. So, not usually going out at night, we are now going off to the local hospital and not visiting anybody, that's going to seem strange. Anyone else got a strange day ahead?
Not thought of any more saying yet, except my Dad had one of his Indian sayings that he was going to have some 'possie' but don't ask me now what that was! Being part of two London East end familes (Mum's & Dad's) there was always plenty of cockney rhyming slang thrown in but I won't include any of that, but I still often come out with it myself. Luckily over the years Carmel has learnt to accept it. My son ( in Lewisham now) is married to a Spanish lass, and she can't understand cockney rhyming slang at all. Even when you explain it to her she just says, "I don't get it?"
OK folks, going to sort out some brekky now. Baps, batches, cobs or rolls, - I just can't decide LOL Might just have buppy-jam . . .

Ann, that gravestone link is useful. I just took a peek at Fobbing memorials and see the Ockenden family are listed there. I'll have another look at that later. That might give me even more information on my FH research.

William what is a Buppy Jam??Never heard of that one. No fog this morning but it is a bit overcast.Hopefully the sun will peep it's face later.
No strange day for me William(well not that I imagine). You never can tell though.
I plan to do MORE ironing (the same pile I gave up on the other day) and clear out the window box of old tomato plants and plant some Pansies and those little pansies is it Violas?
Yesterday we counted 12 Red Kites !!!!!!!.The trouble was they were too high in the sky to get a photo. The most I have seen here all at the same time was 7.
Still no Kim. :-(

Will, I whole hartedley agree with you, it was one of the best shows thats been on tele for weeks. So much variation, and beautiful music. My there is some talent out there.
Jane I think you will find It's a Jam Sandwhich. I have never seen that many Kites at one time. Even when we drive through the road to Corby. We might see the odd one or two.
Horrible morning out there, very fine rain, the type that soaks you without you knowing.
Just had to smile. I was in the shower earlier, when Ros came in the bathroom. Oh she said You are in the shower. NO said I, I'm just letting bthe water flow over me. STUPID QUESTION.!!!
Was thinking of putting more bulbs in this morning, and consider is I could/should cut the lawns (They are still growing) Now it will be my book. 843 pages of Inspector Banks. Great writer. Hope the T.V series is as good as the books.

Any of the "REAL ALES" goes down well with me. This gnants P is like drinking fiizzy water. no kick or flavour.!!
Ros bought me an odd bottle last week.. Not sure of the brewer, but was 9% my that did taste good.
Ironing board is up, and tele on, she's in her ironing mood. Can't leave it lying around. Didn't get the washing dried yesterday, so had to go on Cloths horse in the consevatory and over the radiators. She did say "It opened the threads" one of my mums old sayings.
Have been wasting my time this morning, going round Ebay looking at all sorts of TAT. Will find something I like, buy it, and regret it when it turns up. :-| :-| But it can allways go back.
I'm going to try to contact KIM on FB this afternoon. Do hope she is O.K.
