Morning Mel Evening Kim
Cloudy here and not too warm :-S.But it does appear that it is going to hot up as the week goes on.That will be nice for Ethan ,I need to find the travelling rug so he will be able to sit out in the garden.
Now I am off to see if I can get a pair of work trousers for James as he doesn't want to keep wearing the same suit trousers. They will wear out before the jacket lol.
See you all later

Frank

Frank Report 21 May 2012 11:23

Morning All, evening Kim, and Shirl.

Ros has changed the bed , washing done and on the line.

I see I have my PEAS coming through. They are covered with netting, so the birds can't get to them. I have about 15 runner bean plants in the greenhouse, I have got them out to harden up before planting. The seeds I put in the garden still haven't showed their heads !!!!

Sorry for dashing off last night, but if you don't get the start of these plays, you miss the story. Enjoyed it.!!!

What's all this CRA# about being "Balloon Week" never ever heard of it.

What will they think of next ???

Jane did you look at the FOX HUNTING ????

Still a cold wind outside, suppose to be brighter this afternoon. We will see.

Might do a bit in the Greenhouse later, potting up baskets. Just to let you know, garden centres don't seem to stock "FLOWER POUCHES" anymore, I had to buy then on e-bay. They should be here tomorrow. Then they can bee filled and put round the big trunk od the pine tree in the front garden.

What a beautiful day .The sun is hot and Jasper is scurrying around the garden .I have been pulling up dead forget me knots and trimming a few bushes we have lots bees and flies as per usual which makes the going hard.

Gosh I enjoyed Chelsea footy team winning the premier what a grand match that was. Not a Chelsea football fan but thought they deserved that win.

I miss my charity shop job I may go to the oner in Birmingham its very busy and they have some lovely clothes. In the local shop they had a lovely little ra ra type dress with the layered skirts it was only a size 10 but so cute and a lovely summer dress which was hardly worn. Working in our charity shop for years I used to get some real bargins and loved it Pat how long have you been working in yours. I loved pricing the things up I could choose how much I wanted to sell them for. I loved the jewellery.
Jess used to work in a charity shop and she would buy most of the jewellery herself I have boxes of it upstairs.Sophia was so large she got stuck in the window and the builders used to shout are you for sale it
was so funny.

Many people are having problems like Frank my daughter included.
my ho had trouble at a warehouse someone bought a load of tyres with his warehouse card number.

I had five calls last week all of which someone was trying to give us cheap electricity I said I do not discuss business or anything over the phone.

I am trying to trace my moms couson Victoria she emigrated to Canada and came home when her husband died .

Sorry another Bee Gee died I loved them have many albums I liked Barry
and met them at the BBC once such nice guys .I found a lovely picture of
Alan Titchmarsh I took with him and Kylie. Have tried to send it but it will not go anywhere. I am doing something wrong.
Gosh Alans doing well did I see he was knighted or got some award from the Queen .He is a very modest YorkshIre man He always fixed my hoover they had a room at the BBC full of sand and stuff and it used to seep out by the post room and I volunteered to hoover it up before I went home. My hoover got stuffed up more than once and Alan fixed it twice.
Those wer. the days. Jedwards aunt is all excited because they are in a programme to decide if they go in the Euro song contest for Ireland.
i saw them on tv during Britains Got Talent and what grown up lads they looked really handsome there hair was flat for a change. So many of the houses are empty on the site over the road the old people are getting sick and moving. Most of my old friends have gone.

My leg is still very numb and I am having pysio on it.

Maureen Report 21 May 2012 14:33

Thanks Jane, Diddle Diddle Dumpling will be going round in my head for the rest of the day :-D :-D :-D

Harry's party went well although he slept through about half of it. At least it didn't rain, but it was cold I sat huddled under one of those outdoor heater things.

The sun is trying to break through now so I will get in the garden and sort out pots and give it a good tidy up. Daughter's hen do this Saturday and fingers crossed it will be nice enough for everyone to be in the garden so I want it to look nice.

I think we have mentioned dogs before, our house was ruled by cats when I was young and my dad desperately wanted a dog and had to wait until the last cat died before he could get one, that cat lived for 18 years my dad always said she did it out of spite. He eventually got his dog, a golden labrador, the breeders had already named him Daniel, something to do with him looking like a lion from the back. He didn't count, but would 'sing' for his doggie treats. chewed everything in sight as a puppy and was impossible to take for a walk, the only ones strong enough to hold him were my dad or brother.

Frank Report 21 May 2012 17:02

Afternoon all,
The sun finally broke through about 3.00 pm.While Ros and I were in the garden.

I planted the tomato plants, into their pots. They will stay in the greenhouse now. Also planted a load of runner bean plants. I have filled four half moonh planters on the shed, and ros has planted the octangle planter on the gravel.

I have lost an hour. I thought it was 5.50 pm and pur the dinner on, just realaised it's 5.00 pm Have turned everything off for an hour. Must be something to do with AGE :-| :-| :-| :-

It's a realy nice afternoon now, and very warm. Lets hope we get a bit more of it.

Jane

Jane Report 21 May 2012 17:27

Sheila ,I hope the Physio will help your leg .It must be horrible for you.

Maureen I'm glad Harry's party went off well ,even though he was snoozing lol and it was a bit chilly. Not so chilly now is it .It's lovely and warm outside, even a little blue sky :-S
It is Ethan's first birthday todayI don't know where they are exactly or what they are doing today.I still don't know exactly when they will be here :-S.Naughty Rachel not letting me know :-S :-S
I bought a little diddy birthday cake for Ethan today. Not that he will be eating it lol.But we can have a little celebration
Bought some trousers for James in Tes**.I only had to pay a pound as I doubled up on one of the vouchers :-S.Fingers crossed they fit and he likes them because they were the only pair in his size.

Fitz had an appointment at the DVT Clinic and they said the clot in his leg started in his calf and goes right up to his thigh :-0 :-0 :-0.not a solid clot but a long thin stringy one.Thank god he went to his GP who then sent him straight to the hospital.Apparently the Consultant stayed on to see to Fitz ,when he was just about to leave and pick his wife up .Fitz was very impressed.

Dinner tonight....I haven't a clue lol.........actually that's not true.James is having a Steak and Ale Pie with veg and maybe a couple of new potatoes.
Chris and I are having Pork medallions ,maybe some mushrooms,New Pots and veg

Frank ,yes I did look at the Fox Hunting email . :-D :-D :-D.I was just so worried it was going to be gruesome :-S

I had better go and put the oven on for Jame's Pie.He will want to eat as soon as he gets home lol.Plus he has a major cleaning session tonight on his bedroom and Jess will be arriving tomorrow and it is an flipping tip.Mind you once Jess is here his room will look like a bomb site within minutes :-S :-S.She has to be the most untidy person I have ever known. It is crazy :-S :-S :-0

Jane

Jane Report 21 May 2012 18:14

Age??? Whats that Frank ;-).I often think it is one time and then realise I am way out lol The light evenings don't help.

Oh Fiona ,no wonder you feel a bit low with those two bits of sad news. Was your Friend's Dad the one that had Dementia and moved into the home your Dad was in?
Chris had bad news today with one of the Nurses at his Surgery. She has been diagnosed with some rare Connective Tissue Disease.Prognosis 10 years.he is in her early 30's with 2 young children.Apparently whatever it is she has there are only a handful of people in the country with it.
:-( :-(

So sad to her that Robin Gibb has passed away.Only one left now from the Bee Gees .

Fiona

Fiona Report 21 May 2012 18:39

Hi Jane,
yes , this elderly gentleman ( he was a lovely gentle man by nature), never became aggressive like my dad, had actually been in the Dementia home for 8 years before dad arrived in the home.
My friend is one of the ladies I used to work with for 5 years at the children's nursery.

My uncle Alf who died this morning was my mums younger brother born in 1930 in Scotland ,
He was in the Marines and emigrated to America in 1953, married a young american girl and brought up a son & daughter in America. He was 82.

Have been busy today potting up pond plants. Oh got the lining for the pond and we got that in then he put the liner in and started to fill the pond up from the well. Did not go shopping as did'nt feel that good this morning. A bit dizzy and my right knee kept giving way. Thought I am not pushing a shopping trolly today so staed home and help oh.

Sorry to hear of your losses Fiona. Uncle was a good age at 82..

Well it has been really glorius today out in the garden. When we popped into mole valley today for a bag of layers pellets they had an offer of a Dream Chair. I was very tempted as it looked so comfy but I did'nt like the colour of the bed bit and little parasol, burnt orange.....yuk hate that colour. When we got home I had a look on the web and found one the same in cream or black. Liked the cream and think I may order one tomorrow and treat myself. If you wish to see the dream chair look on the web for Helicopter dream chair.

Well I am going to see if Silk is on catchup now and then to bed.

Night All see you in the morning.
