Sue I am pleased your mates horse is on the mend I saw the ponies on Dartmore on the news poor little things out in that terrible weather.
Mo how sad I am really sorry to hear your news lets hope he gets through it all quickly.
I have to have my 6 monthly scan on 29th Jan at The Royal Surrey to see if I have to start back on my treatment or if it has got worse.the 28th I have to go to St Peteres for tests for RA then back to Royal Surrey for results and see my consultant so I am hoping to get this all sorted. it must be a year for some of us
My nephew is due to fly back to America tomorrow but looks like he might not make it .
I keep peeping out from my curtains to see if we have snow.

Thinking of your nephew and hope all goes well for him and for you and his family too.

Have just got back from Drs for the blood tests, my arms feel like pin cushions !!!!

It is snowing heavily. I think the forecasters got it right today, unfortunately. But the weekend forecast would have been too late, for Thursday or Friday here in the south.

Not sure if I will get to the Nurses appointment tomorrow morning......... but I am sure they will understand.

The baby did cry a fair bit this morning, ate very little and then slept for a couple of hours. She was more settled when her Mum picked her up. But her prospects of a job are looking poor and she looks like being made redundant at the end of the month. So she will have to look for a new job !!!! Presently she will not be coming to me but I will hold a place for now.

Snow is forecast tonight but I really am lovely and snug here I got the Logs blazing away....all the central heating on...the electric blanket will go on soon LOL

Lappy in the hottest room, blow the heating cost think about that when it comes through the letter box ....

Mo I am having a chucckle my doctor is a lady consultant Francis she is a lovely lady has feeling for her patients the head one is Mr Pandha. I see him now and again I perfer the Lady though

I am not going out in this it started snowing and is still coming down. if it is like this thursday then I wont go to the doctors for my blood test. I will never make it there it is about 8 minutes walk but with this snow it is slippery as it is under trees and and along a wooded bit

I try to keep my chin up with all that has happened to me over the last few years I dont seem to get far though one thing happened then I think good thats gone and another one happened within a day I am feted.
but there are others worse off than me.

Well more knitting done this evening. I finished the baby cardigan and beanie hat yesterday. Just need daughter to come over and take them to her friend, might need them to keep warm.

Have to put away the christmas bits, but they only go in a spare wardrobe now Thank goodness we don't need to use the loft space now.

Sorry about the snow Shelly but I had to send some down to you because we just had too much of it up here.

Linda, don't even try to get to the nurse, just cancel it.

Marilyn, the bus can't get anywhere near where we live, the snow is too deep. The road has a couple of inches of ice on it and then about 8 inches of snow on top. We might be stuck here till spring at this rate.

Well tis a winter wonderland outside !!!
Looks like 5 to 6 ins fell since 6:00 last night, and there is still a fine dusting falling now.
Guessing little one won't get here? Will ring drs when I know about her.

Well it will be a tidy up time I think.

At least hubby had booked leave and is off work until Monday.

Oh the M4 near us has 2 lanes closed(one way I think)

Hi Girls Hi Sue it is still coming down here as well our cleaner had cleared all the paths he put down salt and grit it has stopped the snow settling on the paths on the estate.
He has done a lovely job,
I have my stew on the go with dumplings I am even going to show off and have desert peaches and custard. whoo ho.Hope you all dont get too much trouble with this snow and please be careful.if your out whether driving or walking.

We got snow again today, my neighbour son has just crashed his car going down the hill.....out of control, he's OK a bit shaken he has to go to work he's a paramedic and they need them badly in this weather.

His father came to the rescue and between them got him to work.

Sue we had a horse running around in the field at the back of us this morning, we had to ring around all the farmers locally to find out where it came from !! we eventually found the rightful owners and they came and rescued him.... I guess they don't like the snow he had run from three fields away.

Rita its a pity your so far away I would love some of your stew.....Please!

Sue it's pretty awful here isn't it !!

I tried to get to see the nurse......................... But wellies wouldn't go over my swollen ankle, then my poor chest is wheezing with any exertion. So Hubby tried to get the car going, after we checked that the nurse had managed to get there herself. BIG mistake. Dug a pathway. Cleared around the wheels, between 8 and 12 ins deep!! Backed off our drive. OH NO. Car just stopped, wouldn't go backwards or forwards. Stuck across our close(Should have rung Sue....... she'd have enjoyed that eh, towing us back). Well luckily as hubby was clearing the wheels again a neighbour walked back to his house. He helped push him back onto the drive, at an angle, piled up on the snow. All before anybody has tried driving round here. So cancelled the nurse, next appointment is 27th January !!!

Amazingly the little one arrived in her 3 wheeler buggy, pushed by Mum who took 45 mins to get here. Then she is coming back at 3:00. I wonder why she bothered? Sh emust have something important to do. Though she doesn't actually have a job at the moment.

I'll let you know how deep the snow gets later. Yes it is still snowing.

Well I'm not at work today as my boss said not to even attempt it.
I hate to leave him to it ,as it's alot for him to do all on his own.It's not like having a proper day off though.
Actually since I got up this morning it has been constantly snowing & I think we have had 3 or so inches now.
