Pat what a pity you will miss the visit to your family. But I suppose it makes sense not to be taking Mocha until he is all tickity boo again.I bet he has grown a fair bit now.

Jane Report 29 Feb 2012 19:12

Poor Chester !.I suddenly realised he wasn't here.James had shut him out .He must have been standing outside the back door for about 40 minutes lol.
Silly thing.Why didn't he bark?? :-S.
Mandy I have been meaning to ask how your Sisters G Daughter is after her op?
I can't remember if I said but Janice's knee is not doing as well as it should. She may have to go back in and under aneasthetic have it forcibly bent (or something) :-S :-S.I apologise if I am repeating myself.Daft old bat that I am.

:-D :-D

MillymollyAmanda

MillymollyAmanda Report 29 Feb 2012 19:29

I did that to Toby this afternoon, he'd just laid his self down on the slabs when i looked out , he never barks to come in !!

Sister's G daughter is getting on fine thanks , she's walking a little but soon gets tired .
I bet your sister is not looking forward to going back to hospital , i suppose with it being so swollen for a while after the op she didn't get the movement going with the knee and now its stiffened up , sounds as if its really going to be a long job.

Hubby's going to see the doctor about his hip joint , there's now all the problems with them!! he's not sure what type of joint he had put in ,it seems to be the large ball joints that are causing the problems .

Jane

Jane Report 29 Feb 2012 19:55

Lordy Lordy.all these hips and knees.I want to hang on to mine as long as possible. But I do get a hip that feels a bit achy and one of my knees cracks something terrible lol.It sounds like a cracker going off :-S
That's good your Gt Niece is doing well.I'm sure she will keep on improving.
Yes Janice is really quite worried about her knee. She will know in 2 weeks time if she has to go back in to hospital.I think she is going stir crazy not being able to get out and about as she is one of these people who are always on the go.
Aren't our dogs funny.Chester is now all cosy in his bed.He did feel cold when he came in.I wonder what was going through his doggy brain being shut out like that.
Off to get dinner sorted now.Just Pasta and sauce again, with added mushrooms and Pancetta cubes.Chris will have some Garlic Bread (not me though as I don't want to breathe fumes over the dentist lol)Mind you I'm sure that would be better than really Bad Breath.

My knees are creaky !! i find i carn't kneel any more ,if i try they really ache .

Where hubby has been working they they have a dog called Charley i think he's seven ,the poor thing is blind ,hard of hearing and has diabetes, he had bleeding in the mouth and last week had to go and have two teeth out and a growth taken off his gum, he hates being left as this stresses him out ,and he bumps into things ,and today hubby had to dog sit when the people went out !! hubby said Charley never moved out of his bed all day , i think hubby was relieved when the people came home !!

We had Pasta tonight too.

Evening All :-D

Well I'm going crosseyed trying to catch up with all the posts!!

Frank....naughty boy....we did say you were doing too much too soon!! :-| Lets hope Ros's TLC and some rest does the trick. Mind you I had a crampy tummy for a few days so maybe 'bugs' are doing the rounds. Yes.....what did you say?????

William, little Grace looks a lovely baby, I bet you can't take your eyes off her when you see her.

Well, by my reckoning, Pat has done 9 hours in the garden today.......phew, it must be completely weedfree now!!! Looking forward to seeing more pics of Mocha, good that he's getting better.

Jane, I just googled Barton Hall and it does look a nice place with lots of potential. I see there will be up to 100 new jobs there if they turn it into a hotel!! :-D Poor Janice won't be looking forward to her knee being aggravated again, but it should help her get it moving better I expect.

Denise it was me who found my black midi/maxi coat in the loft.....I've put it back now. I remember all those perms! lol I never had one as they didn't suit me one bit, but I remember quite a few at work had them......some looked like helmets!!

Yes, I hope Kim is ok and hasn't had to go to hospital.

Mel's OH is very young looking........I KNOW!!! :-D I can't believe that solicitor though Mel.......you do NOT look anywhere near old enough to be his mum......silly man must have been blind!! I bet your OH loved it though!! Mum had lockup garages for ages and you are right, no fun having the hassle of chasing rents. Sometimes it just isn't worth it, especially when you don't live nearby.

Evening All

Finely got the time to come on today, met up with friends for usual coffee & chat this morning,
then this afternoon was helping OH again, we have got the second floor cupboard in and the counter top and the sink is in but not glued in yet OH has a couple of other adjustments before it's workable, but it's looking lovely,
Then I had to look after Sofia, so OH was left to get on with the job himself.

I have some news to tell you , I was sworn to secrecy at the beginning of December 2011 because OH was told he would be losing his job and we didn't know what was happening,
But I am now happy to say that he has been offered a transfer to BOC UK,
the company he is with at the moment deals in Industrial Gases they are American based and have decided to sell out the British side of the company, OH works for the Health side , they provide Oxgen etc to hospitals and private houses.
anyway BOC UK have bought over that part of the company and OH has been lucky to be offered a job, he is going down to London on Monday to see the big bosses, so we are relevied and very happy our future is still secure.

Not much on the TV so think I will go for a bath and read my book.

Annx Report 29 Feb 2012 21:02

Hope your hubby's hip joint is ok Mandy. Glad your sister's grandaughter is over the operation and gently back on her feet. I always used to do the floors on my hands and knees.......no chance any more........suppose I should be thankful I can still bend over far enough to reach the floor !! lol

I have had a 'good' day today. :-D Went to the dentist first thing and wasn't looking forward to it one bit as it was yet another new NHS dentist at the practice and every time there is a new one they start sticking those probes under my gums and it hurts! Also I get a funny taste some mornings where I had an infection under a tooth last summer and thought the tooth may have to come out. Anyway, it was a really nice dentist, but while I had my mouth wide open he started to say 'I never see this, I never see this'. Oh heck, I thought, what next....then he said to me and the assistant, 'I never see this standard of cleaning, absolutely excellent'. He said 'you don't see the hygeinist and yet I can't find 1 speck of plaque on your teeth'. Well, with wonky teeth and gum problems it was great to know I was doing something right!!:-D He said a few salt rinses should do the trick with the funny taste. When I was sitting in the waiting room I thought how different it was to waiting rooms years ago. This practice (NHS and private) has duck egg blue walls and light coloured wooden floor with real leather bucket seats in alternate pink and purple. The wall lights cast rainbows over the walls......all very cheerful looking. It made me wish the doctor's surgery waiting room was brighter instead of 'safe' pale blue with royal blue seats and gray carpet.

Then we went into the city to see the Artist film. They had sold out at the cinema we intended to go to in Warwickshire, but we got seats easily for the morning performance at the city cinema. We had only been to this particular newish cinema once before (rather expensive) and this film was only being shown in the 'Director's Lounge' (MORE EXPENSE STILL!), but it was very smart. Big seats you could rock a little, very wide and I I could stretch my legs fully straight out without touching the seats in front and we had little tables we could swing in front of us that had a serviette on!! The film was really good and we both really enjoyed it. I had thought it might be boring after a while, being a silent' film, but it wasn't at all.

Then we called at a nice pub for a meal on the way home. As OH said........much better than going to work!! :-)

Hi ya lovely day here .I went out for a chinese meal then ended up with stomach pain all afternoon. Never mind the chinese was nice. I ate rather a lot of pears someone gave me the day before.

William I love the name Grace it is nice that the old names are coming back. Would love to see a photo anybody. !!!!!xx
Talking about knees I stooped down in the shop and my knee cracked so loud a dear old man said Oh is that your knee or mine. I said mine,He said I have no knee caps and mine still crack. bless him.

I cannot find anything I post and can get on here to this page by sending a short thread. then can read whats round that day. My pages go up only to 922. I am finding it very annoying and thinking of quitting.
Dont all say hurray . Have not seen my friend Beryl Oh such peace of mind do you think maybe Donnies done her a mischief .

How is KIM poor love she is so nice and I hate to think she is not well.

Poor Jane the dentist I had a sore tooth for three days then it disapeared.
I mean the pain not the tooth. Hope it is ok for you.

Jasper is driving me bonkers he keeps barking all the while since teddy passed away. I had a horrible dream last night someone bought me the biggest teddy bear in the world in pink and grey with a huge smiley face
it sat grinning at me and it was such a funny dream whoever sent it posted it through our letter box Well today would you believe this I had lunch with this lady I craft with and we went into a store and there was this huge teddy like I dreamt about only in pink and lilac it had a grinning face and was massive for ten pound. I screamed and ran and Janice said Gosh whats the matter I said its the teddy I saw in my dreams She thought I was do lally. being lilac and grey did give me some hope that I am not getting it for mothers day I would kill it. Sophia is always buying me teddies which end up at the hospice .from that shop.

Going to see the stage show Oliver soon looking forward to a night out.
If I watch true Grit again with hubby i will throw something at the telly.
Since he is ailing I have to endure that movie. I love that whitechapel series which is gruesome but all I have seen is True Grit the John Wayne version complete with eye shade.

By the way Amanda kneeling ruined my knees I used to clean the floor
down on my knees. The doctor went mad when I told him. I had terrible pain when I went upstairs on the bus. I stopped kneeling and it righted itself. Poor Janice I do feel for her.

Frank do take care find your threads and Williams very interesting.
Going to have a gander now at a few while I am around this page.
Wheres all my messages gone perhaps some fairy is whisking them all away. dont blame it my spelling and grammer is dreadful and well I do not have anything interesting to say and not getting on to the day date is driving me mad. Well off for my salmon sams a bit late but thought I would spend some time on the computor it gives my bottom a rest from
sitting in our awful armchair really need some new ones. Mind you my computor chair goes down on its own when I sit on it. And if anyone thinks gosh shes in a state and her house your right. if only I good win the lottery or something.

Going to phone April shes met a lad called hermon his dad is in real estate. I said Oh herman the german and April said no nanny he is a yank and he says I am nice to be with. Give him time poor thing. Joking again shes lovely I miss her terribly.

I am very happy for you Fiona..........nothing worse than doubts about jobs hanging over your heads. You must all be quite relieved!! OH and I have both had to reapply and compete for the jobs we were actually doing several times in our careers when they merged different bits of government depts and it is quite unsettling until you know you are secure again.

You seem to be doing well with fitting things out and I bet it looks better with each bit you do. Soon it will be paintbrush time. :-D

It's a shame Sheila, but is probably for the best to get everything sorted out so she knows where she stands. If it were me I don't think I could trust him after the things he has done. It will be tough for her as she will have happy memories too, but corny though it sounds......the passing of time helps.

Off to bed now and to watch Alex P???? the woman who helps failing businesses. Night, night xx

HAPPY SPRINGTIME

Up early to put a scrip on-line for Carmel. Aint technology wonderful?

Had a quick squint through the posts, but I'll be back later. Got heartburn this morning from eating too much last night.. Must get back to a non-birthday diet. Still giving out portions of birthday cake!

Glad you all admire little Grace, you probably won't beleive me, but the photo doesn't do her justice. I think the angels had something to do with the making of her (but don't tell her dad LOL).

Catch you all later

Hav'nt read all posts yet from yesterday but it is a beautiful day here and I think I must get out in the garden as there is so much of it to do when you have a patch my size! I need to get up on the border and tidy it and do some weeding.
