William I have seen the picture of baby Grace and what a little cutie. You must be very proud.

It certainly sounds as if the birthday celebrations went off very well I am very pleased that a good time was had by all.

I know there is a lot more I should be commenting on but will bebacklater.

We have sunshine today and it's quite warm.

Am in my dressingown and thats unusual for me as I always get dressed first thing. I am going in the shower as have an appointment today at 2.15pm to try and sell the ground the flats stand on in Ilford. Fed up with trying to get ground rent out of the top flat and it's not worth having anyway.

Frank you should have put boiling water down the drain after putting the mince down it. Or put it down the loo!! where it usually goes!! Ha Ha.... :-S

It's a misty morning ,all grey grey grey :-S.I'm nipping off to the Post Office to do Car Tax.No doubt there will be a long queue :-S :-S.Then back into town to change a top I bought yesterday.It's a bit big.I bet they don't have a smaller one left now,but I can hope.

It is also overcast here today..I was hoping to go in the garden later to do a few bits..I want to get them done before I wash my hair..I have left Mocha playing while im upstairs straighing up.

What have you all been doing if all the plungers have been out lol.

We have been advised by the vet not to take Mocha to my daughters at the weekend because she has dogs herself..It is a 2 hr drive so we usually make the most of it and stay over...So I wont be walking along the beach OH...another day lol..

Im sure we can find something else to do... which we have..Visiting my auntie to see if she can put some names to the photos I am struggling with and also hubby needs to sort my brothers PC out again at his new place..
Im suppose to be going linedancing tonight changed nights as Monday was abit hectic here.

Went to bed last night coughing and sneezing. Awake most of the night. This morning my head and chest are full of cold again. Sneezing and blowing, with the runs also. Will stay in Dressing gown today, might go back to bed. So I might not be around.

Frank that dos'nt sound good. Please go to the docs again and perhaps they can sort you out. It has been going on too long now. I must admit I seem to be getting this cold over and over again but not as bad as you seem to be.

Yes Frank you must sort your cold out although the colds these days do seem to go and come back again a little while later. But I hope this one is not like the last cold you had.

In one of the threads someone was talking about midi dresses and coats and how finding them took them back to their youth. I remember midi skirts and coats I also remember mini skirts and coats with a vast amount of my leg showing - I wouldnt do that now. My nephews and nieces all laugh at the photos I have of myself in the mini skirts with an Afro hair style all the rage in the 70's!!!!!!!!!

I hope Mocha is still doing welll Patricia.

I hope all the blocked drains etc that some of you seem to be suffering with are all sorted out now.

And I hope you are all feeling relatively well.

I must be getting old. During the day while doing boring chores I'm thinking, must look such and such up on Google, when I come to sit down on the computer I'm blowed if I can remember what I wanted to look up. Should start writing things down.

Still a bit cold for me to get in the garden Pat, must start thinking about it as have quite a few 'do's' coming up in the spring and it would be nice to have the garden looking pretty.

Pat, your threads make it look like you were out in your garden for 2 lots of 3 hours, that makes 6, it must be done for the rest of spring now LOL.

This is a quick entry as I'm being whisked off out for even more birthday celebrations, it's none stop and putting years on me - I'll be 80 myself by the next time I come on here!!!

Was watching the blackbirds in the garden this morning. Got 2 coming in at the same time, Eric & Ernie I call them (maybe Eric & Enid for all I know). They are so amusing the way they chase each other round then fly up into the air. Complete time wasters, I was late making my morning cuppa watching them.

Caught up on the TV recordings a bit so far. Katarina on DOI has still got the bicycle rack only I think she read my entry on here and she has now put a bit of lace curtain accross her cleavage. Katarina . . . we can still seeeee, peeka booooo. It was a good show and the skating/dancing is really stepping up. I thought the final was unfair, Andy SHOULD have gone out. I thought he reached his peak last week but hey, the Soap-aholics voted him on, you can't win.

I also caught up on Whitechapel, I love that programme, humour and fear all in one. Also I can also identify with the area, I think they do a great job. However, it opens with an advert I can't get my head round. A woman comes in from (shopping?), takes her coat off, switches on the TV - and eats a Mini Magnum! WRONG - any self respecting person comes in, takes their coat off - AND MAKES A CUP OF TEA!!!!!

Anyway, Carmel is up from her afternoon rest and is hustling me to go out so she can see her two sisters before they beetle back off to Ireland tomorrow.

William I agree with you , get in take off your coat and make a cuppa. That is exactly what we did when we got in. Well oh only drinks black coffee but I always have tea.
