Sun is out at the moment and it looks a promising day. Must get some washing in.

Ann the ciggies have rechargable batteries and a carrying case for the spare. There is even an in car charger for those who need one. No good in my car as the lighter dos'nt work.

Mandy good that your hall is now finished and ready for Christmas.

Oh could'nt work on the roof yesterday as it was raining all day. It poured in the evening just as it got dark and I went out to shut the chickens in.

Fiona you will soon be able to each all manner of things you like it will be like an early Christmas to your taste buds <3

Slightly cooler today and better for me. Off to Sydney tomorrow to the doctor and my first trip out in nearly 4 weeks. Have caught the cold going around in the house.

Jane I had to look up Google to see what a shrew is, now I'm in the picture. Do the stoat hibernate in winter or are they around all the time?

Fiona I liked your list. I can't have citrus fruit at all. Go easy on anything with a bit of fat, that's what I was told after my op. Gallstones can come back too even without the gall bladder and can cause pancreatitis - something I didn't know. I was so surprised to read that!!! Good luck tomorrow.

Morning, If you can call it that !! Foggy, damp morning. Haven't put my nose out yet so don't know if it's cold or mild.

Ros sat and did three scarves last night, she hopes to get the rest finished before the day is out. I will then take photo's.

Was thinking last night about when I worked in London. Every year the Baltic Exchange Royal British Legion Branch. held an evening when two coach loads of WAR VETERIANS were invited from the STAR AND GARTER HOMES. All serverly injured from the war. (No arms/legs badly scared etc.) We would all be allocated one ex to look after for the evening and did everything for them,It was great to see them having a few beers and some treats. Our duties including toilet trips. How humble you felt in the presents of these hero's. You felt as though you were putting something back , for what they did for us. I will be stuck in front of the Tele, Sunday morning. Never missed one yet.

Kim, I didn't know gallstones could come back either. How long did it take you to get back to your full strength.The old problem of my back, shoulders and kneck muscles have taken a hammering and ache alot so I will need to get back to my streching exercises,But I think they will have to wait through till after christmas before it's safe to exercise. I will just have to use the old heat patches again.

I promise I won't dive into the fatty foods for a long time Kim, infact I am quite nervous about eating anything containing fat, I will start of with very small quantities.

I am looking forward to tomorrow when I get these staples out and hopefully I can turn over in bed as at the moment I have to lie with a rolled up towel next to my stomache for support as it's still uncomfortable.

Kim I'm not sure about the life of Stoats so I'll have to look it up.James did say he thought that either Stoats or Weasels turn white in the winter.I wonder if we will see this one again.
The Shrews under the Summerhouse I think are actually voles and not Shrews after all.

Fiona ,I'm sure you will feel more comfortable tomorrow.I bet the staples feel like are pulling a bit now.Just like Chesters stitches.I think he will be glad to get rid of them tomorrow too.He is snoring his blooming head off at the moment.
Chris has been to Waitr*** this morning and has come home with some goodies to put away for Xmas :-D :-D.They are now in a box in the garage away from temptation. ;-)

Been busy tidying the shed again, hubby just dumps all the tools in and i then have to step over things ,so i thought i would give it a tidy , he'll moan that he carn't find any thing now !!!

Yes all goodies are in a big plastic box with lid.Chester has been sniffing about in there lol

James girlfriend Jess has arrived ,but is feeling ill so has gone for a lie down.Sounds like she may have a bug.I've told her to keep it to herself as I don't want anything before I go to see Hannah on Saturday :-S

I keep going back to have a look at Franks email.I think it is just so funny.I'm grinning now just thinking of it .

Chicken Casserole and mash tonight

Lamb shoulder for us tonight with brocc, carrots and pink fir apple pots out the tunnel I dug today.

Have had a cupboard out in the kitchen and cleaned it all out. Got more things off the kitchen work surface now and in the cupboard. It was a high one I had all my wine making things on and I threw most of it away.

Mel ,my cupboards in the kitchen need a good cleaning out.I look at them and shut the doors lol.It is one job I absolutely detest :-S

Next door seem to have an Alsation( i did mention it the other week but wasn't sure if it was just stopping over).Well every morning at 6.30 it is let out and BARKS and BARKS and BARKS whilst running round and round the poor chickens in those triangle shaped things.Poor things must be terrorised :-S

I just hope there is no way the dog can escape from their garden.It is a real beauty though.

The coat arrived today for Jess.It looks fine ..BUT is has a size 6 label in the coat and size 8 on the ticket.Paper work says size 8.It doesn't look a 6 to me.But I think I will have to try and get hold of Jess's coat (the one she is wearing now) or something while she is here without her seeing so I can see if it will be ok.It is a really nice coat ,so I'm just hoping it will be fine.
I ordered a new lightweight Parka for me which also arrived today .It's really nice ,so will be wearing it on Saturday.It doesn't have a hood ,and the sleeves can be folded back to a 3/4 length ,so it's a bit 'with it'...........Now I haven't heard that expression for a long time lol

There was a lovely sunset tonight ,but its quite chilly out there now .

I haven't done any of my cupboards out for a while ,i have a double wall unit full of glasses , i really should go through and put some out ,there's sherry glass in there we'll never use them we don't drink sherry ,does anyone come to that !!!
Also got a unit full of cookery books ,lots of them i don't use ,some are from when we got married !!

That dog will kill those poor chickens ,barking like that ,fancy letting it out that early and letting it bark like that !!

You'll have to get your tape measure out Jane and measure Jess's coat that she's wearing , perhaps that's why they were selling them off , if they were labeled wrong !!

I wonder what Ann has made in her class today , Brooch or Tiara !!

Oh I can just picture Ann in a Tiara ;-).I was thinking the same Mandy about them selling the coat at this price because of wrong labeling .I do think it will fit her.She is tiny.James said why don't we blindfold her and get her to try it on lol.

Funny you should mention Sherry.Chris bought a bottle this morning.We only ever have it in the winter.I have so many glasses in my cabinet.They look nice ,but we tend to use the same ones all the time.I do like a glass of Sherry though.

It has been alovely day today..Yesterday was damp ..Overdone it with the jobs yesterday that needed doing before work...

Today I just cleared up and ironed 2 shirts before work,,,today was a nightmare at work..Im getting fed up with trying to do the extra work in the time they allow you....So fed up when I came home I wondered down to the charity shop to see what I could see.,The other one had reopened and it was very busy..Just bought a sleeveless jumper to put over another...

Im off to Paris on Sat for 4 days to see my eldest son and family..Will be taking 2 days of work...I wonder if they will miss me lol..

I do enjoy my linedancing..Its a laugh when you find yourself facing the wrong wall. I have never worh the "Gear " But on certain dance nights others wear the hats... ;-)

Who knows what they will be allowed to do Mandy.I'm sure there must be a big inquiry going on .But everything seems to be under wraps at the moment.
I'm just glad at the moment to know that we won't have any more smoke trouble.The air actually smells really clear and fresh tonight.I have almost forgotten what it is like to have fresh clean air,after living with it for a whole month.How bad is that.It is as though we have just been accustomed to foul air.

I just watched a programme I think The Bomber Boys.Trying to eat my dinner and not cry at the same time...not easy.. I am so grateful and lucky not to have had to live through a war like my parents did.
