Now what shall I get out the freezer for dinner tonight?????

Kim anything I can help with on your tree?

Morning one and all,

Bright sunny morning here also Mel, just right for a walk down the canal, I might do that later.

All this weight loss must be catching, Conrad has lost over three stone, since he has had this problem with his bowles He is on special ointment to try to ease the trouble, but I think it is with him for life. Split bowles inside can't be good. He is more comfortable standing up, that sitting down. I am still down to 12st 10lbs, Harvey has lost 2 stone, we will all be as fit as ther Butchers Dog, the way we are going. I am going to buy some 36" waist trousers, as the ones I have now, fall over my hips without a belt. and that is on the tightest hole !!!

It's all happening here, the guy down the road seems to be O.K. then at 7.45 this morning, the paramedic arrived at the bungalow opposite. was there for over an hour, don't know what's happened yet, but I know he has had heart problems
Two other guys locally have cancer problems also, and the Scout mistress might have to have an Heart Op. but she won't talk about it.

The orders are pouring in for the Scarves Ros is making. I am ordering the wool on Ebay on a daily basis. It's all postage free, so can get it as she needs it. I must send a photo of the finished article. It takes her two hours per scarf to make. They have another sale on the 12th November, and it's being advertised very strongly around the village.

Jane Please post A.S.A.P after Chester is know to be O.K. we all seem to know him now, and of course concerned with his recovery.

Fiona, Our thought are with you for tomorrow,. You will be up and about before you know it.and eating like a horse, :-D :-D Then you will be worried about putting on too much weight.

Nice to see you around Kim, trust you are feeling comfortable and managing in your warm spell of weather.

Mel, thanks for the offer. I just had to fiddle around with spelling - Geehan, Gehan, Gahen, Gaghan and Gahan (which is what they go by now). Different for each child or each event. They are born in Aus., it just took me a while and also first and middle names reversed at various times. Does your head in, but I persisted and found what I was looking for. Two Irish rebels got together and it started all the mess. My grandmother was listed as Emily Gertrude on all the Census forms until later when it reverted to Emily Dorothea which I always knew her as. I might use my credits to try and track down my First Fleeter if it will let me!!!!!

Good that all is well with your health.

Jane I can just imagine him waddling in with his tail wagging. It will be lovely to have him back home.

Off to the couch now. It is quiet on here today, everyone must be out and about.

It has turned out to be a lovely sunny afternoon, and so warm again.Even Chris is wearing short sleeves to work.

Well done Mel on losing that weight. What is the reason for your cough, did the Dr,come up with anything ,or is it the fags :-D :-D

I think I m going to have a little read and maybe do a bit of ironing.
Meatballs and Spag tonight.I have done the sauce,so I am a bit ahead of myself now :-D :-D

Hi Folks,

Kim FIL and his 2 brothers all used their middle names!! I used to get so confused when some people called FIL by his first name.

Mel, good news at the docs then. I didn't think you you needed to lose weight. Now Frank and the boys losing weight too........making room for the Christmas feast?

I hope Chester isn't too sore after his operation. I was telling OH how he is to have fish and rice cooked for him tonight and he said he doesn't get that well looked after!! lol

Yesterday, after I was looking in a few (charity) shops at Wigston I came back to where the car was parked. It was in a carpark on the left hand side of a street with another carpark opposite that was behind the shops in the main street. I turned the corner to find 5 police cars in the street and carpark behind the shops, which was taped off so no one could enter or exit. There was also an ambulance and lots of police standing around. In tonight's paper it said that knife wielding, masked raiders had gone into the Thom*son shop there and had got away with a lot of money. I had walked past the shop both ways during the hour it was robbed too!! I didn't see anything though.

Shirl I had a little tartan coat in my mind's eye for Chester!

Just as well you didn't see anything Ann, makes you wonder if anywhere is safe.

Two of my three daughters are quite emotional, wear their heart on their sleeve, sometimes I pick up the phone to sobs and think, oh dear, which one is this. The other ones more like me and keeps it all to herself. I wouldn't worry too much Jane, sometimes they just need to know someone is on their side, although if I think mine are in the wrong I will tell them. They usually work these things out, I wouldn't go over there but let Rachel know you are always there at the other end of the phone if she needs a shoulder. A baby certainly puts extra stress on the best of marriages.

Ros must be a good knitter Frank to do a scarf in a couple of hours, good for her too to keep busy.

Will be thinking of you tomorrow Fiona, I'm sure you will soon be back in the swing of things, just in time for all that lovely Christmas grub too. <3

Good to see you Kim hope you are feeling okay, the warmer weather must help, I always feel better when the sun is shining.

Only you could suggest a bloomin'kilt for Chester Shirl. ...LOL. What have you been up to lately, you've been a bit quiet, not like you ........

I'm off to have a soak in a bath full of bubbles but will be back later to hear how Chester is.

Well we are home ,and he looks a sight with lots of big shaved bits.(have sent a pic).He absolutely reeks of Anaesthetic. It might even knock me out it is so strong lol.He has had altogether 7 lumps and warts removed.Back in 2 days for a check and in 10 days for stitches out.
Now a Kilt Shirl ,I hadn't thought of that :-D :-D.He has had some of that fish and rice and is waiting for more.I think he is a bit away with the fairies though still.
He was a bit like some of you ,the vet had trouble finding his veins !

Yes I can just be here on the end of the phone for Rachel. The poor girl just wants to be happy.I just hope they can work it out.But it has been one disaster after another with her since her Mum died and her father B****** off to S Africa with his new bit (that had been on the side).

I can hear snoring!.......Chester is lying on the kitchen floor next to his dishes.

I've got a rotten cold !! feel all blocked up but every time i put my head down my nose just streams !!
Hubby's having a day off tomorrow ,we should be going out for a meal ,but i'll wait and see how i feel in the morning .

Jane Report 1 Nov 2011 18:36

LOL Mandy .I sent Hannah the pic and she said he looked likes a patchwork quilt too.He has 7 shaved bits.4 big bits.the 2 on his front legs where they tried to get his veins and I think one by his willie!.I haven't managed to get a close look down there yet. Those green bandages were pressure ones, but I have taken them off now.

Ann I think he must be stuffed now.I daren't give any more food now just in case it comes up :-S.He is sleepy but can't settle ,he keeps wandering around making really annoying whining noises.
You were lucky not to have got caught up in that 'knife' situation.Thank goodness you didn't.That would have given you nightmares.

Annx

Annx Report 1 Nov 2011 18:40

Oh poor you Mandy.......I hate it when colds are at the drippy stage, forever dabbing your nose. I always stick Vase*ine around my nose at bedtime when I'm like that, helps stop it being sore. Let's hope you feel better tomorrow and that it doesn't spoil your meal.

Yes Frank, we would love to see Ros's scarves........are they all different colours?

Jane

Jane Report 1 Nov 2011 18:40

Mandy ,don't tease everyone with your visit to the Choccy Factory :-| :-|What have you bought?????
I hope your cold improves by tomorrow, and it stops dripping !

Oh took me out to lunch. He said we were going to Holsworthy but ended up at the garden center as he needed fish food. I got one of those things to clean the inside of the aquarium, a magnet one so you can do it from outside. then came back to Holsworthy and he bought me 4 BIG fat balls for my wild birds.

Jane how is Chester????

MillymollyAmanda

MillymollyAmanda Report 1 Nov 2011 19:03

Oh poor little man !! 7 shaved places ,he will definitely need a coat to keep him warm .
I'd keep away from the ...down there bit.... he's probably full of wind from the anesthetic , i know Toby was terribly windy after his op !! :-S

I was very good at the chocolate shop, i only spent £4 , got chocolate covered Cashews ,Walnut Whips, some Chocolate stuff a bit like Crunchy bars and some little Chocolate Balls , DIL spent a lot more ,as she got some Chocolate for Christmas presents ,she also bought the little ones Advent Calenders .

Ann, is your back better ?

Jane

Jane Report 1 Nov 2011 19:10

Mel ,I have sent you a pic.Have you got it?.he is ok ,but making the most weirdest noises at the moment..whistley whiney (sp) ,with each breath.I just think he is still a bit out of it.I will see later if I will sleep here in the lounge with him.I'm just hoping he will settle later and just go to sleep.

Annx

Annx Report 1 Nov 2011 19:35

Mandy, my back has been ok the last couple of days thank goodness.......now I am wondering whether to try and do a bit in the garden again before it gets too cold or wet. I might just spend a quarter of an hour out there tomorrow to put in a few rock plants. It will be ok with that I think.........it is when I get carried away and forget how long I have been bent over double the trouble starts!!

I have never had chocolate covered cashews before.....mmm!

We seem to have 2 new cats, well large kittens really in the neighbourhood. They were in the garden exploring early this morning with their little collars and purple bells on. One is a handsome bluey grey tabby with a very small narrow face and the other is the same colour but with white on it's chest and paws. I was in my nightie so I didn't go out, but they were miaowing to me. They looked very well cared for. If they are nice and no trouble like little Ellie was, they will be welcome........but if they start digging and leaving deposits we could fall out!!! lol
