Morning All Dull here but no rain so far. My family love dumplings to , not fussy on them myself, not sure if OH uses suet on not, I'llI watch next time we have a stew. Had an easy morning, didn't wake up till 9.20 as I was still watching the clock at 3 am, don't know why I could not sleep, but I have nights like that at least I am on my own this week so I didn't have to disturb OH.
Going down town to meet up with one of the ladies from church, we will have coffee in the church centre then have a walk around the shops for a while,
yesterday while I was out I saw soft Woody & Buzz lightyear dolls and thought that would be a great christmas present for Sofia as she loves Toy Story , so I thought I would get them when I was out today, BUT yesterday in she walks with the 2 same dolls, her mum had the same idea but Sofia saw the toys first and daughter no 1 had no chance to hide them , lol They are not the expensive toys you see in the shops for £30 that talk, they are much smaller. so no great loss.
Will just have to get my brain working again. I can not get into really thinking about Christmas yet, I suspect , I'll get into the swing of things when I am feeling better in a few weeks time.
Going for a shower BBL

Morning ladies, Wet and horrible here too. It's still raining in the air. Had a heavy shower about an hour ago.
My little man (Lewis), came down the pub last night to watch Man City V Wolves. We walked home, and I had forgotten to take my stick with me, he was my support, and running commentary, where there were holes and bumbs on the path. He had to have something to eat when we got home, in fact I was in bed before him and Ros.
This morning it was "JEEVES" Bacon Sandwhich and milky coffee. He then came in the kitchen, complaining that I hadn't put tomato sauce on his bacon. Lovely little soul. :-D :-D :-D
He still hasn't shown me how to copy and paste. Keeps saying" I will do it later."
They are at the Cinema this afternoon, with Martine. Ros isn't very good today, felt very sick this morning and had to go and lie down in bed for an hour. I told her to ring Martine and cancel, but she said I have paid for the tickets, and Lewis wants to see the film.
Great minds think alike. I am doing Stewed Steak for dinner tonight. in a rich gravy, with mash and veg. Might drop a few dumplings in, they don't take a minute to make.
I have cored and peeled about 4lbs of cooking apples this morning. They are in a bowl of water with a lemon squeezed into the water. Hope they won't turn black. Don't know wheather to stew or slice, and freeze. Do they keep allright sliced and frozen ?????
Any excuse for a glass or two of wine then Jane, Did you say she is 89 or 98 ??? Wish her a HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
Christmas presents for Lewis are now sorted. Ros managed to find a very nice CHESS SET. He has learnt to play at school and loves it. !!! She has also found him a Union Jack frying pan, in the box there is a tin of beans, salt and pepper fish slice, and other bits and pieces. She has also bought him his own KNIFE SET. as he likes to help prepare the meals with his dad We are spending Christmas at Harvey's this year, Conrad Jane and her family will all come down on Boxing day. Christmas morning, ROS is going to give LEWIS a loaf of bread, pack of butter and a pack of BACON. with a bottle of sauce, Then she will give him his other presents. When he has got over the shock..

Hi Everyone. Just to let you know that I am still in the land of the living. This week being show week means that I am very busy preparing food every dayand, as my back is so grim at the moment, I have not been using the computer. I have had a Hot Stone massage this morning which was wonderful but my neck and shoulders are agony now. Hopefully will wake tomorrow a new person as I am due at the Archives to do some transcribing and I was forced to cancel last week as I ached so much. We have the builder in at the moment replacing some bricks below the damp course on the extension. Poor man it has been raining all day but is now looking a little brighter. I have kept him warm with lots of tea. I am making some savoury mince for tea and dumplings sound good but as I am trying to lose some weight, will give them a miss today.
Hope you are all well :-) :-)

You're doing well then with Christmas presents Frank, I haven't even thought about it yet. The trouble with buying for the little ones is they change their minds between now and the 25th. Must start though, as a lot of it I'll buy on line.
You're getting very flash now Shirl. changing your pictures, I still haven't worked out how to make them close up, have you all picked out photos that are already close up.
I must have missed that post Ann, didn't realise you were doing a jewellery making class. Sounds fun, and the ones you've done so far look really good. I just caught Kirsty's Home Made programme last night. did you see it Mandy, I know you are into embroidery, the Welsh woman who has won loads of 'best in show' pieces has done some lovely cards etc.
It was lucky Jane, the house next door being repossessed, well not lucky for the previous owner, but son saw the notice on the door and got in quick before it even went on the market. Enjoy your afternoon with Fitz and hope his mum enjoys her birthday, quite an age.

Still tippling with rain.
Have put the heating on to dry some washing. Put it in the tumble dryer for an hour, but finishing off on the radiators. A lot of it is Lewis's. His Mum is collecting him tomorrow afternoon now, as he has things to do on Saturday, and playing football Sunday morning. so needs to be dried ready for packing.
Have got the stewing steak in the oven, ticking away nice and slowly, it will be so tender when I dish up at dinner time, Veg all done, so going to watch a bit of Tele, till Ros and Lewis come home.

Back from Fitz .Frank his Mum is 89 today. All rather weird .She was still in her dressing gown with a warm wrap thing around her knees. So we had drinkie poos and sausage rolls and spring rolls, and forced jollity .Then we had to leave as it was time for Diagnosis Murder lolol. Then Fitz's cousin called to wish a Happy Birthday. He is the Big Wig who defended Myra Hindley and the boys who killed Jamie Bulger. He was calling from his 'chambers'.
Anne ,I hope you get some relief after your Hot stone treatment. Is it always worse for a while before it feels better?I'm sorry you are in so much pain.
Maureen you do realise there is a nice house up for reposession in Market `Harborough!!!!.(Hannah's).Maybe just a bit too far though for you lol. That would be a great project for you and your son.
Hello Jeeves :-D.I love the sound of all the pressies Ros has chosen for Lewis.I haven't even begun to think about Christmas yet.
Mel I can't even begin to tell how pis***d off we all are with this smoke problem. This morning when Chris got up ,he came back and said 'we are surrounded in the stuff'.It is quite depressing ,just seems as though it is never going to end.It is the smell that just gets to you. It just all depends on the wind direction as to how badly we are affected. and this morning was particularly bad. I feel desperatly sorry for the fire service men who are having to be at the site day after day ,week after week and now month after month. They showed the site last night on the news ,with everything still burning and it looked liked the middle of the night as it is so dark there with all the smoke and ash.I just hope they close the place down once all the investigations have been done. The Radio reporter chap yesterday said he has never covered a 'fire' story as big as this in the 6 years he has been a reporter.
Funny how we are all having stews and dumplings today ;-)
PS.I had to measure Fitz's Chest and waist lol.He wants to order some trousers and a jumper.I don't think he wanted his OH to know what size he is lololol.I found it hilarious to do.

We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused and as an apology, have given you 30 free credits that you can use to view records. These credits will be valid for 18 months.
We hope you continue to enjoy using Genes Reunited,

I got exactly the same email Mel........I think we have had a lot more problems than just the 3 days mentioned!! I have had awful trouble getting on here today and can't look at back pages or the page goes blank!! :-S
Fitz's mum is doing well at 89 years.......he is looking after her too well (only joking!! lol) Forced jollity can be hard work so I hoped the drinks and eats helped. Jane, you didn't get as far as the INSIDE LEG measurement then? lol :-0 :-0
Maureen, I haven't watched that programme with Kirsty......it sounds good. It is really good your son got the house next door. At least he can keep an eye on it and it is handy for him to pop round and do bits to it in his SPARE time!!!. I am sending you an EM.
Anne, I know what you mean about your back. I have been taking tablets the past few days mine is getting better but sitting at the computer hurts after a while and standing seems to be uncomfortable after a while too so I keep doing a bit of each. I've even adjusted the seat up a bit in here to see if it helps. The hot stone treatment sounds interesting.
We went to B*S today with vouchers we get from using their credit card. You get points for everything you spend anywhere on it and each quarter they convert the points and send you vouchers to spend.....£55 worth this quarter!!! There was 20% off today....even better, so OH got a couple of pairs of Chinos and I got a grey cardigan and a nightie. Then we went to the Ra*ge shop in town and bought a wall mirror with a patterned frosted border for the hall. Tends to be a bit dark in there so I hope it will reflect a bit of light. Now we need some of the spring brackets to fix it to the wall. I saw an Andre Rieu CD I liked in there so OH got it to put away for xmas for me. :-D :-D

LOL Ann ,I did offer to do the inside leg measurement. But he said he knows that one ;-).It was funny though as it was one of those paper tape measures that you get in a Xmas Cracker.I was worried I was going to tear it . I think it is so nice that we are such good friends ,that he felt happy for me to take his measurements .(Chest and waist).
