Oh Jane, how dreadful that your father contracted that AWFUL disease! what a very difficult time you must have gone through, being pregnant as well, you poor things. My mother died in her sleep when she was 68; in 1986, she had had high blood pressure for years and in those days was a bit on 'borrowed time'. My stepfather died of Cancer 8 months later, so that was a pretty grim year too. Bedroom half way to being finished, tomorrow should see it done, looks SO much brighter, may inspire us to do the rest of the house! perhaps that's a bit ambitious!!!

Hi Everyone
Had a busy day trying not to think of my mum too much.Had card from son this morning followed by telephone call and bouquet of flowers delivered so am very lucky indeed.
MIL came for lunch and she was in good form. Mader her fish pie with veg and crumble for dessert.Spent the afternoon grilling her for family memories. She began by saying that she did not have any but soon was recalling lots of early memories. It was so interesting and the time just flew by. I wish I had had the same conversation with my own parents.
My dad would now be 89 and my mam 86.In the living room
I have a photograph of them taken when they were in their late 60's and thats how I remember them.
Annx Thanks for the photographs You are so talented. Your MIL must have loved the painting.
Mel Thinking of you
Liz I hope you are feeling more cheerful now

10.23pm

Evening all,

Haven't had time to read postings today.

We went off at 9.45am to see Lewis play football in the simi-final of a cup match. Good game but they lost 4-3 after extra time.

We then went back to Harvey's where Julia's daughter and her boyfriend were waiting for us. We had tea and cakes. Went for a drive to where Laura' is getting married in August and to her little terraced house to have a look round. We then went on to the local pub where a table was booked for 3.30pm. Had a fair lunch considering most was frozen and not that interesting. Not enough fresh veg. roast pots were Aunt Bess##'s also york puddings.

We came home with Conrad about 6.pm He then decided to sort out new computer. Got most of it done. All my photo's from the round the world trip are still on old one, so hwe's going to download them and put them on here later. He left about 9.15pm

Have sent photo of Ros's chicks/bunnies. Hope you got them.

Will read your postings in the morning, and reply then.

Goodnight God Bless

Morning Mel
Your very welcome a hug does you a power of good.
Glad your feeling better today, trapped wind is awful I often get a lot of indigestion and wind . so take Gavis*on and if its taking ages to shift , the doctor gave me Ome*razole capsules which are really helpful.
I haven't many left and can't find my repeat prescription form, so I have just registered with the on-line service and ordered some will collect them in a couple of days time.

Wet and windy (outside) lol , and I think we are to have it all week to , not going out, going to catch up on ironing and a bit of kitchen cleaning, OH away all this week working in England won't be back till Friday it's going to be a long week, but he'll be back in good time for his birthday which is on Saturday.

Why does it always rain just when all the washing is in the garden?
How long is a pregnancy supposed to last?
Questions I am pondering today.
Back to reading Good Food mag which has just arrived in post.

SOME OF YOU MAY REMEMBER KINDLY FILLING IN A QUESTIONNAIRE ON LINE ON HOW YOU VIEW THE CURRENT AND POSSIBLE STANDARDS OF QUALITY IN THE FASHION RETAIL INDUSTRY FOR MY NUMBER 2 DAUGHTER AS PART OF HER UNIVERSITY COURSE.
SHE HAS NOW REACHED HER TARGET OF 100 QUESTIONNAIRES AND HAS HANDED IN HER PAPERWORK . IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN WHAT HER FINDINGS WERE, COULD YOU PLEASE E-MAIL ME AND I WILL LET YOU KNOW THE RESULTS UNFORTUNATELY I CANNOT REMEMBER EVERYONE I ASKED.

THANKS

Ouch Anne ,I know the feeling lol.You poor thing.I hope it clears up this time round.

It was me at the Dentist Anne.He says I really to have treatment on that tooth.Take the crown off and then remove the post(if possible) then ferret around and see what the root canal was filled with.Treat it ,flush it,pack it then a new crown. No guarantee bit will be successful He said the infection is not in the usual kind of place.Trust me to be awkward .I haven't made an appointment yet.I'm going to be a chicken for a bit longer.

Frank. After the controlled explosions all is quiet at that house on Warkton Lane. There are notices on the doors of the house telling people not to enter as it hasn't been de-contaminated and could be hazardous to health.

Katherine if you are looking in it seems that it is just you that am having trouble messaging. It does say an error has been reported. So it looks like I will have to be patient until the problem is fixed.Hopefully it won't be too long.

Jane I got the same thing when I tried to get in touch with Katherine so it is not just you. It may be that she dos'nt want messages sent to her.

White on the line and blowing in the wind. Sun seems to have disappeared but the wind should make the washing smell nice.

Jane sorry about the trouble with that tooth.

Liz keep on track and you will soon have the house repainted. How is Ian coming along?

2.28pm

What a horrible day it's turned out to be. Ros has got one line of washing dry, another out at the moment. She's due back from Tesc## any minute,

I am doing a nice Roast tonight, It will be far far better than the one we had yesterday. !!!Even Jane's RICE PUDDING would be better and that's saying something. !!!!.

Hope you are feeling better now Mel, nothing worse than having a bug and not knowing where it came from. Conrad is still full of cold, so hope he hasn't left any germs here.

I've put the heating on, it was that or a large jumper. I know Ros will want it warmer when she's sitting knitting this afternoon, she has started to feel the cold (IT'S HER AGE) Poor old soul !!!!
