No Mel, I didn't know about that. I hope it wasn't a waste of all the time and effort our little greenhouse is a baby compared to yours. It's aboyt 8' x 4' with shelves down one side and the back. The otherside is for the big pots of tomato plants that grow up canes and string.
Ros is busy making little Easter bunnies and chicks. You can fit a Cadbu## cream egg inside. These will be on sale at a do in two weeks time. They look very cute. Our table is full of them.!!!
Had quite a disturbed night last night, every time I turned I woke up, finally went into a good sleep about 5.30 till 9.45. Shoulder joints feel sore this morning. NO WORK TODAY AND I MEAN IT !!!!!

Morning All The weather is very mixed today and we have had some rain. We have finally decided to go to the cinema this afternoon. They are showing The Kings Speech which I know ewveryone has seen but we just havn't had the time. We have a local private cinema in Thirsk and it is very small and comfortable and run by volunteers and a very worthwhile venture as our nearest big cinema is over 20 miles away. Went to the Indian last night and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was very quiet and I do worry about these small busineses and just how they hope to survive. Must go now as hubby needs me for something ( lucky me you cry ) 12.12

Hi again,
Rain here quite light but I think it will continue. We need a steadt soaking. The ground is starting to crack.
YES Mel, she sits here knitting away like a little beaver. She's off to Tes## shortly to get a load of eggs to go inside them. They look realy nice, I would think they will sell very well at £1.50/£2.00 a piece
Ann, you are very lucky to get to see the Kings Speech so soon after being on general release. Out local village hall have started a monthly show at £4.00 each and take your own cussion !!!!! Not seen a film I fancy yet. Midweek is always the same for the restuarants. They make up for it at weekend. Around here you need to ring on Thursday for a table fot Sat night.
Just heard from an old school friend. His wife has the dreaded "C" and is starting treatment next week. Poor woman.

Back again I wasn't needed for anything exciting. I have just given hubby his favourite lunch, fish fingers and chips, quick and easy as he will not have time to eat between the cinema and a meeting in Wetherby tonight. Frank It is raining quite steadily here now but it does not look as though it is going to last long. 5o tomato plants should lead to a lot of soup, chutney and sauce. Look forward to hearing the developments. Fiona Hope your sore throat stands up to the singing. Time to get ready BBL 1.14

Sun has just come out here and it is looking much brighter. There is a really cold wind here today.
OH let the banties out for me while I was doing lunch and he said one of them shot straight over to underneath the big beech tree by our boundry to next doors field. I must go down and have a look around as she may be laying away. I was late in letting them out this morning as I forgot!!!

Hi all Throat stood up to singing this afternoon, but Sofia was the one who was wilting as she was tired so she wasn't as lively and joining in a usual , she will probably fall asleep in the car on the way home. daughter says "yes please" means she'll get some peace to get on with some housework before she goes to work this evening.
Raining all day sometimes quite heavy I't meant to be wet for the rest of this week. need to get a drink throat feeling dry.

I'm glad you enjoyed your meal last night Anne, and I'm sure you will have enjoyed the film this afternoon.I t is miserable here now ,all drizzly and dark,Just the perfect afternoon for the cinema.I think I am going in a week or so with Fitz to see Social Network.(I think that is the title)
I don't seem to be able to get myself motivated today even though there are lots of things needing to be done.
Frank I don't think you will have much room left to grow your other things with all those tomato plants lol.I have 17 tomato plants on my kitchen windowsill.
Cuppa time.I think I will have a mint tea.

Looks like we've all got rain. It's a bit colder too but supposed to warm up again for Saturday.
I'm not going to bother with tomatoes or courgettes or peppers this year, just flowers. Never seem to do very well with the veggies, what was more annoying the ones I gave to family and friends did much better than mine .... must be me ......
Finished the ironing for this week so am going to have a nice soak in the bath.

The should clear your sinuses and your throat.

Just back from the cinema. The film was superb and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. They said at the cinema that the first week they showed it they took the most money ever playing to full houses all week so decided to show it again. There were a lot of people at today's showing but it was not full. Their previous best attendance was for Mama Mia which came as no suprise. Son just been on telephone to say that no progress yet but another visit to midwife planned for tomorrow. Jane Am I right in thinking that DIL might have to wait another 2 weeks before any decision is taken to induce her? The rain has gone now and it is a pleasant evening. Hubby off to his meeting and I am going to watch the last couple of episodes of The Tudors ( having a royal day ) David I remember going to the hoppings on the town moor and it always seemed to rain. 5.38

Hi Everyone,
Been rainy here too, so we went to the cinema and saw Secretariat, the story of the famous 70s racehorse. It was good and made me wish I had a horse and a stable again. lol
We called at Ar*os on the way back and got a new iron we both liked. Why do so many have those silly hinged bits where you put the water in. Bound to snap off in time.
Sounds like you enjoyed your evening Anne and the film you saw today was very good wasn't it.
That sounds good at £4 Frank. I hope they have something on you fancy seeing soon. Those chicks Ros is making sound lovely. I bet they will go like hot cakes. You could send us a pic if you remember how to do it!!
Glad you still have your voice Fiona. I bet Sofia loves all the singing and clapping. Do they have any drums, whistles or triangles to make music with?
We don't have many bunnies left in the field at the bottom of the garden. They shot most of them last year. We seem to have dozens of pigeons though!!
I hope the garden is better when it's finished Mel!!! At the moment we are digging out around the arbour so we can get to paint it more easily and making flat area in front with a step to make room for a tiny table. It's the only shady bit of the garden when it's boiling hot so it will be nice to sit and read or do a jigsaw with an iced drink or cuppa!!

Been a long time since I was at the pictures.Think the last one I saw was Third Encounters of the Close Kind.
The Hoppings almost invariably bring heavy rain for a week Ann. Been raining heavily here today, but first for a long time.
Going to write my car off rather than spend nearly a thousand on it. I fancy replacing it with a Ford Focus or an Astra.
The alledged buyer of my house has pulled out Regardless we are view a bungalow on Friday morning.
Changing your home is a huge step and its a move Ellen won't make without a great deal of thought. At our age it could be the last one.

Just had a nasty moment with the computer. Windows did an update and presented me with a message about bing whatever that is. I tried to get rid of the message but it would not go away so I turned the whole thing off and started again but now I have bing and icons at the top of the screen. Will have to get hubby to sort tomorrow. Have decided to go to Morri**ns at Darlington tomorrow to do a monster shop as we seem to be very low on lots of things and hubby wants to look at cars so I expect that we shall be out for most of the day. Frank We have a lady who knits those chicks at the hospital and they sell very well in the shop. Mandy I hope you do not eat all the chocolate at once. I remember when we lived in York we could go to the Rowntree factory shop and buy mishapes for next to nothing but that is long gone. Decided to abandon the tele after reolising that still one more episode of Tudors to record. I did enjoy the first series but am not sure of this one but I will see it through to the end Think I will listen to some music and read before having an early night 8.32

yes Ann Musical Minis is run by a young mum who's son is at school she has lots of boxes with drums, shakers, tambourines Whistles. and we dance round in a circle singing songs and clapping hands, then the lady brings out a hand puppet and tells a story or sings a nursery rhyme, today's puppet was a fish like Nemo and we sang 1,2,3,4,5, once I caught a fish alive.
Mandy, That's exactly what Sofia does, just gets over 1 bruise always the forehead , as it's starting to go yellow, there she goes running into another wall to busy looking the other way or she walks over all the toys stumbling and falling .
David, at the moment my sinuses are not to bad , it's my throat that is dry and I have irritating cough, , thank goodness I can still talk. it's hard work trying to sleep though.
