OH I feel like dumping this computor today even though I love it .I have tried typing out the message on here twice unless it Is genes cutting me off. One more go before I get my temper going.

Elizabeths died then I thought she was older than 79 me being 74 this birthday. I saw her in Jane Eyre when she was a child she played the little girl who had all her curls cut off and died really young. Then in the lovely
National Velvet My best film of all time Little women.I lost interest in her when she was adult. I have all three films on CDs
I went to Wales and April said I miss my daddy gran. Then she said daddy used to smell of spruce and wood when he worked in the forest and he hugged me when he came home. Then she added .When home he smelt of after shavings. !!! I tried not to laugh jess said you mean after shave April and she said yes he put some on my nose once and it tingled. Then Jessie made me laugh she said do you remember that perfume you had called Weed. I said it was Tweed Jess. we both laughed then.

We trotted off to Matts resting place only to be attacked by a stray cow who had got out and roamed for days .This cow suddenly came from behind a hedge and charged at us. it did not help Megan Aprils friend screaming its a bull. The poor cow was more scared than us and uncle Bryn stopped off at the nearest farm and they were missing a cow called Sarah. So he came back and we all went round like mad people calling Sarah the cow just walked off. I think someone recued it later.

Jessicas moving in Rose cottage but it is so small she must sell all her lovely things and furniture Matt chose and she is very upset..

We did visit Rashers and Sheep both looking well although Sheep needed a cutting and Rashers was fat poor little thing. He wobbled when he walked. Rashers who is re named Bacon came trotting over to April
and grunted he seemed to know her and she gave him a big hug .Sheep was not amused about being hugged he went Baa and almost knocked her over to the amusement of some pimply child who was just about to
throw a prickly bush like thing in the pen. The place was a bit tatty but the man in charge reassured us that it was being cleaned they had two people off sick. I hope we did the right thing. There was a funny notice it said do not feed the animals only veg allowed . what !

I am glad our Frank and Shirl turned up on here Jane.Did you go to London. I hope your friend Rachel will be ok I bet a call from you helped.
i hope you had a nice time.
So out of date

Mel will send another pic of the dogs.

Margeret how are you thank you I am taking it easy ish. not doing a lot still not back at the shop or up at the charity shop yet. Lovely hot day here all my best to everyone I bet you are all eating lovely dinners and I am looking like a lettuce salad so much would love a big plate of Fish and chips washed down with shandy full of Ice. Instead I settled for a ham salad and water. Or a big chicken curry would be nice. XX

I think I am going to have to nick Chris's dental appointment tomorrow. My tooth or teeth haven't settled as much as I thought.I had to get up at 4am to go downstairs to get some paracetamol.I had a throbbing ache in my jaw that woke me up.I really don't want to go .Yes! I know I am a wimp lol

When I was little I had a lovely Dentist called Mr Lowe.I remember going to him for a routine check and one of my top front teeth was just hanging on by a thread. He wanted to pull it out and kept trying to persuade me that I wouldn't feel a thing.I wouldn't let him.But little did I know all the time he was talking to me while I had my mouth open he had whipped it out lol.I never felt a thing. He held his hand out and said 'Have a look at this" It was my tooth .
Does anyone enjoy going to the dentist? I don't think so.

Mandy, did you get a present for your Sister?

Anne

Anne Report 23 Mar 2011 19:00

Mel Thanks for the butterfly sighting. They all seem to be flying early this year.Ospreys are also on the move as first one arrived at Rutland water and one was seen heading north through our area today.
BBQ was lovely but have to say that we ate inside as it has turned rather cold.
The first barbie is always the best although we now use a gas BBQ which we bought last year and the flavour is not quite the same.Enjoyed a glass of rose with it and it made me feel that summer cannot be too far away although the local weather forcast is for cold days by the weekend.
Jane As I think I have said before I hate going to the dentist but I also hate pain as I am also a whimp. Best get it over with.

Oh , its been such a lovely day , hasn't it , I do hope there is more to come, managed to do all the washing , hung out to dry , ironed, & put it all away I did listen to some of the budget , don't think much of it though , I personally think , they are all a bit crooked ,
David , I would wait , on buying , rent for a while , perhaps you could look at the Auctions , & see what you could get .
Jane , clove oil , tastes awful but works a dream , on tooth ache.
Amanda , I bet your slippers are those flip floppy sort , they always come off when going up!
Sheila , good to hear your taking this a bit easier , I'm sure there is no hurry to get back to the shop , & a low fat curry won't hurt , a bit of what you like does you good .
Frank , you shouldn't over do it in the garden , you might do yourself an injury.sit back & enjoy it !

Sheila,I'm sure you did do the right thing with Rasher and Sheep. There was no way Jess could have kept them.
Hopefully Sarah the cow was returned to her farm safely. It must be upsetting for Jess to have to get rid of a lot of her furniture, but needs must, and I hope that she and April will soon get settled into Rose Cottage.
Yes I went to London and had a great day,met some very nice people and had lots of laughs.I was exhausted by the time I got home and slept like a log lol

Anne I will get a grip tomorrow and get to the dentist.I might see if I can find my old Rescue Remedy Spray and have a few squirts .I never used to be as jittery about a visit to the dentist. It's just 'All in the mind' lol

I am sure you will find somewhere in North Devon .Loads of lovely places to choose from. You might even get to meet Mel.Is it coast or countryside where you want to stay?

Evening All,

Sorry about your tooth Jane, looks like there's no choice........dentist tomorrow. I hate going too.......mostly because we seem to have a new one every year! I had to wear braces as a teenager and they loosened the teeth so they hurt if you knocked one or bit something hard. At least dentists seem more friendly these days.

I was looking at the Osprey cruises on Rutland Water the other day Anne. We are going to get booked up soon. I didn't realise they had started arriving yet.

OH is out for a meal with his work ladies tonight, so it was a jacket pot for me. After listening to their work woes, he will come home saying how glad he is to be retired now!!

We had lots of very small bees (smaller than honey bees) in the garden today. They seemed to be attracted to the soil I had scraped off and were a very dark brown. I have never seen them before.

Phew !!! i'am worn out ,DIL came back home with me after our shopping trip and they stayed for tea , the little ones played outside ,had all the bikes, scooter and tractor out of the shed to play on .

Glad to see Sheila and Shirl are both ok , i like the sound of that Muffin too.

Oh Jane you should have gone to the dentist the other day ,it would have all been over by now !!

Didn't know what to get my sister for her birthday ,in the end i decided to get one of those Cup and Saucer Planters ,although the one i got is more like a Mug shape , and i'am going to fill it with Herbs , and then i'll get a little something else to go with it, perfume perhaps .

Time for a coffee i think .

That sounds a good idea for your sister Mandy, especially with herbs in it. I bet it was a bit noisy outside with the bikes tractor and scooter in action. lol They will soon be wanting the pool out with all this nice weather!

I must say I'm not too chuffed about the proposal to pay £140 a week to new pensioners in the future, without increasing the £97 a week paid now to those who are already retired!!!

MillymollyAmanda Report 23 Mar 2011 20:16

I haven't seen any Butterflies here yet , we have got a lot of ladybirds in the garden today , the little ones were trying to count them .

Sister said she turned her outside light on the other night and a Moth came flying to the light ,her little dog nearly jumped out of her skin, she's a dog that's frightened of her own shadow lol

Jane, oil of cloves is good ,but someone told me that a piece of cotton wool soaked in Whiskey and placed on the tooth works well too , and if you do it enough you get so sozzled from all the Whiskey that you don't feel the pain anymore !!! LOL

When i've planted the herbs in the mug i'll take a photo of it .
Ann, DIL said we could have had the Spa out now as the weather was so good , alright while your in the water ,but chilly as you get out !!!! think we'll wait a while longer .

Annx Report 23 Mar 2011 20:36

I would love to see a pic of it when you have planted it up Mandy.

I just googled garden bees and there are some small brown ones that build nests in piles of loose soil!!! As we have many piles of loose soil at the moment I better tell OH to be careful shovelling them........or dress him up with a net curtain over his head and hat! lol

MillymollyAmanda Report 23 Mar 2011 20:51

Oh Ann ,you don't want to have a load of Bees to swarm out at OH , he could get some nasty stings , i'd just have a gentle prod in the soil and see how many come out before you start digging !!

Yes i'll take a photo when i plant it tomorrow ,must remember to charge the camera up first , i said to hubby tonight i haven't taken any photo's of the little ones lately , i think Katie must be after some more teeth , she's been dribbling so much DIL never had a bib to put on her so she put some kitchen roll just inside her top to catch the dribble LOL

I think I will give the Whiskey soaked cotton wool thing a miss tonight lol.A paracetamol and Brufen and a rub on the gum with that sensdy** toothpaste, and a couple of spare pills for in the night beside the bed so I don't have to creep downstairs and disturb Chester.
I really want to watch Time Team now ,but think I will just troop off with my new book.

Morning All,

Sunny again here today and more gardening on the cards.

I seem to remember when small and out on a fishing trip on a Sunday with friends parents and children that one of them had a tooth ache that day. Aunty Jean gave the child a piece of white bread to chew and then hold in her mouth over the tooth. It worked untill aunty could get her to the dentist. Some of the old cures are still the best.

Well today I may sieve the bonfire!! to see if I can find they key to the trailer. There is a lot of wood ash over there and I think I shall put it on the border flowers. It should be good for them as potash helps produce more flowers.

Good that Sheila is taking it a bit easier. Good Girl Sheila!!!!! Keep up th egood work.

Mandy that sounds a nice pressy for your sister and I am sure she will be very pleased with it. What herbs are you going to put in it?

Good luck today Jane and hope to here from you later to see how you got on.

My former dentist back in the seventies was James Carruthers.
I still have most of his fillings and 3 crowns.
He retired early due to arthritis.I continued with the people who bought the business off him. They frankly were no where near as good as him.
Ive since changed my dentist twice and had 4 extractions.
