Evening all, Joshua room , Tony only just started the plastering yesterday , so now have to wait until it dry's to add the skirting & then hopefully paint it .
Frank so pleased Harvey is well , going home, the L& D is not a very clean hospital , my 3 eldest were all born there,
Mel , it sounds like you are enjoying the water , it should be a nice relaxing break .
Anne , could you not douse the stump with something , & burn it instead .

I am having problems with my computor today. I had to go and get some new glasses I could not see to type and have to have another eye test at the eye hospital a special one. My mistakes were getting worse .

I went to the park after with the dogs and Jasper saw this dog female of course and decided to follow it he ran and ran I could not give chase.Little Teddie suddenly realised Jasper was not with us and went off running in the same direction. After a while both dogs came back Teddie was barking at Jasper. I think Teddie went to get Jasper he sat on the floor looking up at me to say look what I have done. So he had a piece of steak tonight for being a good dog. Jasper was naughty so her did not get any.

Baby ducks were in the park they came walking behind the mum duck all six of them in a straight line so regal looking until they came to some stones mum duck walked over them and babies every single one rolled down the rocks plop on the floor and got up and went on walking behind mummy duck. What do you call female ducks I wish I had a camera they were so cute.

Later I decided to help my ho big mistake he decided to give me a notice to advertise his cheap lagers .He left it in the hall and I did not know so I sprayed the back of another notice with my stick and spray glue and stuck it in the shop front window without reading the other side. Ho came in and went mad at me He said Sheila you idiot you have stuck a closed notice to the window. I disapeared quickly he is not speaking to me now.

Mags I bet Joshua will be really chuffed with his 'new' bedroom.Have a good weekend.

Oh Sheila, I see you are in the dog house lol.Easy mistake to make.Poor Jasper not getting his bit of steak.He probably doesn't know what he did wrong lol.Teddie sounds a lovely little dog.Is he the one you took in from your neighbour?

Must go and dish up dinner now.Just balled my eyes out watching something for Children in Need.Chris says can I turn tv off while we eat.I don't think he wants to see me blubbing while we eat lol

I used to love it Mags as a child when my room was redecorated. I must say I can only remember it happening twice though. The second time at age 16 I was allowed to choose the wallpaper to help me feel better about my 7 year old sister moving in with me.......it didn't help at all!!! lol

Another lovely day here, cold of course woke up to a frosty start but its really sunny now, makes all the difference to see the sun, cheers everyone up that you meet in the street as they say good morning.

I had a nice meal last night, checked over the menu on line before I went so I was able to see what I wanted to eat before going to the restaurant, , I managed two starters, main meals are so big especially the Pasta dishes,( it's an Italian restaurant. ) pate was lovely with cranberry sauce and plain toast as I don't like garlic bread,
then had asparagus and smoked ham in a creamy cheese sauce with a side salad.
gave the desert a miss but did drool over the strawberry shortcake that one of the ladies next to me had.

well I think the washing finished so better get it on the line while the sun still out.

Frosty start, but glorious sun here too. OH is off to Gainsborough for today's match with 2 of his pals. Nothing much there for me to do so I am going to Rutland soon to a garden centre.

A list is a good idea Mel. I keep meaning to leave one in my suitcase with all the basics on it. So often we forget something!! It would be lovely on a boat today, I'm getting really excited for you. lol

What a good idea to check the menu out before you go Fiona. Your meal sounded lovely, I would have enjoyed all of it.

Washing's out now, so I'll be off I think. First time to have the roof down on the car and shades on this year. lol.

Ros is on her Saturday trip with her friend. Conrad coming about 12.00 to sort out new Computer.

Going down to see Harvey later this afternoon. Ros said the L & D hospital is the pits. it should be pulled down and rebuilt, So I bet Harvey is glad to be out of it.
I'm hoping I can slip down the pub while Conrad works on computer. West Ham v Spurs. Should be a good London Derby. One we need to WIN.
I'm sure he wont mind me not being here.!!!

I have a holiday list on my computer with all the items of clothing and toiletries I took on my last holiday, just update it if not taking something or change an Item every time, couldn't be without it my mind is like a sieve these days.

Oh dear I am not having a very good day today.

First I go to go up the shop for the papers and OH told me not to let the banties out as the hounds are up in the car park as there is a hunt today. I had taken in the car some more eggs to put on my little table outside the gate which is on the village hall car park where they park the boxes for the horses and the hounds. Out I get and put the new eggs on the stall moving the jar for the money only to find that it is all wet and standing in a puddle of water and I did'nt think it rained last night, previous egg boxes a little damp on one corner. Then it hit me................
One of the hounds had weed up my table and I now had wee all over my right hand where I had picked up the jar!!! Took all the eggs off the stall and went on to the shop where I asked if I may use their loo to wash my hands!! Keith said use the sink here in the shop and I replied I would rather use the one just inside if that was alright. I told him why when I came out all fresh and clean.

Then got lunch and now I have to go up and retrieve the table and bring it down and wash it all down before I can put it out again. I have'nt even got on the border yet!!!!!!!!

What a lovely day ,we have beautiful blue sky with not a cloud in sight.
Hubby has dug out two big shrub roots , i couldn't shift them ,but he soon got them out for me ,now i can give that bit of the garden a good dig next week ,and we can take the roots to the tip tomorrow on our way to the coast .

Sister and BIL coming tonight ,they'll collect Chinese meal and bring it with them, so no cooking for me tonight .

Bet Jane's having a good old natter with her friends ,and no doubt having a glass or two of something to drink.

Didn't get as far as Rutland today after all. Went to the County Garden Centre near Billesdon on the way, then had a walk round the village, which has pretty parts with a few thatched cottages. Had a headache by then (too much sun!!) and came home. Next time I want to go to Harlaxton in Rutland as I want a pic of the Manor there, my favourite house!! I've never looked around that village but noticed some very old interesting houses driving around the edge.

I was looking at the Rutland Belle boat trips on Rutland Water to see the Ospreys this year and they are taking bookings now. The dawn (6.00am) ones look good, but we'd have to be up at 4.30am!!!!! Might pick one of the later ones. lol

Mel, what a day you've had..........dog wee, yuk!! At least you got to wash your hands. I wonder where else they were cocking their legs up!! Where I lived before, there was a cat who used to spray my car wheels!!

You've made a good start Mandy, clearing the decks first. Are you putting more shrubs in or do you have new plans for that part of the garden? Looking around today I was surprised how much has survived the winter.

A neighbour over the road came and borrowed OH this morning. She's a lovely lady, age 81, still drives her car and had had it collected for a service yesterday. Silly mechanic who brought it back had pulled the handbrake on so hard she couldn't release it. I've had that happen too at the garage and had to fetch someone before I could go.

I wonder if Jane is a bit squiffy!! I bet she will be ready to flop in bed by the time she gets home. lol
