Have you got a rainbow bruise yet Mandy? I would be stiff all over after that fall. lol Yes, OH tried to get to those rods last year, but the arbour was too near the fence and the soil banked up the other way to use the hacksaw. Now the arbour is further away from the fence and the soil has been dug away the other side he was able to cut them off just below the soil level. It looks much better and is safer.
OH often says the phrase 'black as your hat' and he often says 'Oh, my hat!!' lol
Good idea to spruce things up a bit Liz, if they need it. As you say, just see what turns up for sale. I have noticed 1 or 2 properties for sale around here that have paddocks with them and a lot of houses seem to be coming up for sale. Your house is in a lovely area so thats a good selling point to start with. I'm glad Ian is doing so well. It is still very early days on the leak front but it is improving and that alone is a boost for him.
Thanks for letting us know Frank's ok Mel. It's like children, when they go quiet, you just never know!! lol

Guess what we are home again but...... still no baby!! Have had a very busy weekend and enjoyed some super outings with Hazel giving Mam and dad a chance to sleep. The weather has been very good and the flowers and blossom are beautiful. At home we have some daffs out now and the flowering currant is also in bloom. Hubby spent the afternoon cutting up his tree stump and the new veggie patch is almost complete.Next thing planting out onions and shallots. I have done two lots of washing this afternoon and even managed some ironing so we are ready for the call to return south. Jane Sorry to hear about your toothache and pleased to hear you are now feeling better. Mel I do hope you find the key otherwise its the bolt cutters
David Enjoy your house hunting. There must be some bargains out there. Hubby going to set up the moth trap tonight as conditions ideal he tells me. Mandy How and when did you fall??? 6.32

It is lovely outside at the moment isn't it Anne. I love the smell of flowering currant.....very distinctive. It sounds as if you are making great progress in the garden! The baby doesn't seem to be in any hurry! lol I bet you have everything ready so you can rush off when you get that call.
Where is our Jane today............talking 'Venice' I shouldn't wonder. lol

Our offer on bungalow viewrd yesterday has been rejected. He wants £17,000.00 more than our offer. That would be a reasonable price for what he's selling but Ellen won't budge. She's thinking of making an offer on the one we put an offer on before. The buyer of this one may drop out if we dawdle. It's too easy to buy the wrong house. You don't know you have until you settle in.
Have you tried Bonjela Jane?

Gosh what a day.I have got nothing done at all ,after all my good intentions. Fitz turned up at 1 to tell me all about his holiday. He brought a lovely little water painting of 3 scenes of Venice.I will have to get a nice frame for it.That was a lovely thought wasn't it. He left about 2.30 .I did a bit of hoovering and then the phone rang at 4 and it was Rachel in Dubai.Poor girl is feeling so alone. She has 11 weeks to go before her baby is due.Hubby working 24/7 and she has no-one really. She was all tearful and worrying about all the things that need to be done before baby comes. Her OH seems to need a reality check as far as I can see. It's very difficult being a surrogate mum on the phone 5.000 miles away when I just want to give her a big hug and say everything will be fine. She is missing her own Mum terribly(she died).I just told her to pick the phone up and give me a call whenever she needs.I can't do anything else. So after 2 HOURS on the phone I have just got dinner in lol
I'm glad Frank is all safe and well.Little devil must know we were all worried. I think that key may be lost for ever now Mel lol Must go ,the timer is pinging on the cooker. 18.40

Ann, just got a little bruising coming out ,but the arm is a bit stiff ,so not to bad , i thought you had had a go at the rods last year ,i remember you saying about them .
Anne, i fell going upstairs yesterday ,foot came out of my slippers !! went down on my arm , i now leave my slippers at the bottom of the stairs and go up bare foot !!. Still no baby ? all this backwards and forwards , you'll need another holiday to recover !!!
Might not hurt to try another offer on the first one David , you never know they might accept if they've had no other offers since !!!
Jane, that was a nice of Fitz bring you a gift home . Poor Rachel, i'am sure it must have helped her a little just talking to you about things Jane , it must have been upsetting for you to hear her cry and not being able to give her a hug.

The poor girl Jane, she needs more support from her OH doesn't she. It must be quite frightening to be pregnant in another country anyway and I wouldn't think it was good for the baby for her to be upset like this. I bet she felt a lot better for talking about it with you though and reassured for her to know she can just pick up the phone if she needs you.
That was nice of Fitz to bring you the watercolour. I bet he had a nice time.

It's ME !!!!
Have been very busy and very tired. We have spent two days in the garden, Ros has been doing the boarders, weeding and planting. I have been raking, cleaned the patio with the pressure washer, put up guttering around the shed. I bought the stuff 3 years ago and have been waiting for SOMEONE TO FIT IT. If you want it doing, do it yourself. Planted 4 bags with seed potatos, Got a load more to go in "my veg patch"
This morning, I woke up aching all over, Ros wouldn't let me do anything today, apart from getting dinner. I feel as though my back and arms are breaking !!!!
Have caught up with the postings, and glad you are all OK. Jane I always said you were a pain, but not in the jaw LOL LOL
David, I thought it was a buyers market out there at the moment. Good luck with whatever you decide.
Mandy you must take more water with it !!!
Mel, thanks for you call, It's nice to know i am missed !!!

Hi All Still no baby Anne, well he/she must be very comfy in there.
very kind of Fritz to bring you a nice present Jane, Did he enjoy his holiday.?
Been looking at pics of the Cemetery in Saskatoon on line where my ancestor was buried in 1913.I have saved a few. But don't think I will be sending for his death cert too expensive and as far as I know it doesn't have the cause of death on it any way. I got a map of the cemetery and I was given the burial index from a GR member so at least I have some info .
going to make myself a bedtime drink. on my own tonight so will probably have an early night with my book.
night night everyone xxxxxxxxxxx.

Morning All,
Sunshine here this morning too but how long will it last today I ask myself.
I managed to wash my table yesterday and get a new coat of paint on it but it was still a little damp at dusk so put it in the shed and brought the poly in. Will tackle that today and get it back out as the eggs are building up.
David hope you find somewhere you like soon and you don't lose your buyer.
Anne the baby will come when it's ready and not before!! What a todo with all the back and fourthing.
Jane poor Rachael I do feel sorry for her all those miles away from any kind of family but you have to remember how happy she was at her wedding and I am sure she will not feel so alone once baby arrives. I am always available to be another grandmother for her. Would love to have seen my grandchildren but never have and that in itself is very upsetting for me.
Love to sheila and Shirl wherever they are and whatever they are doing.
Nice to see our Frank back on the board.
Mandy take care of that bruise.
Washing nearly done and I bet the sun goes in as soon as it's ready to go on the line.

I have only just had that shower.Decided to do some ironing in my dressing gown.Golly I got warm ! so I'm glad I had a shower afterwards.I think it is time to take the cover off the Patio Table. It is the perfect day for some lunch outside me thinks. The fly screen is up at the back door now so it definitely feels summery.I heard a big bumble bee just now and saw a couple of butterflies. I bet most of you will be busy doing things in the garden.

Hi Everyone What a glorious day. Have been to town wearing a summer outfit and no tights which is so wonderful. We had over 40 moths in the trap last night with 8 species recorded. Hubby was delighted and it took him all morning to sort. He asks if anyone has seen butterflies yet as we have had our earliest records of small tortoishell ever,We also had a peacock today. I have given up with this baby. I guess the problems a couple of weeks ago and the consultants comments made us believe that the birth would be sooner rather than later. Mandy Gosh your fall sounds painful. Good idea leaving those slippers at the foot of the stairs. Jane There is a strip of carpet looking very bare!! We have decided to have a BBQ later and, of course now I'm marinading the chicken, the cloud has appeared. We now have shallots and onions in the garden and potatoes soon to follow.
