Evening all,
David, I'll pay the postage, you can send them to me :-D :-D :-D
No picture here as well, !!
Been to the Doctors, I have servere arthritis in my left knee, shown up by the X ray before christmas, also my Testosterone level is very low. It should be between 8 and 60, mines under the lowest. so he gave me a testosterone injection, and I have to go back every three weeks for a course. He is also going to inject my knee on my next visit.( i'll soon be the local STUD)
Ann, my trouble started with my eyes in 1979 when I took over the Post Office. The print on the Family allowance and Pension books were so small, and of course all the figures and accounts were in small print.I had no option but to get glass's. I have worn them ever since. I am now finding that I only need them for Computer work and reading. Never wear them for T.V. now.
Jane, That was a hell of a price for James to pay .. for two cinema tickets. Best seats when I was courting was 1/9d back row circle.!!!!
Did you hear the JOKE about the bloke who came out of the cimema bent over. He asked the Manager if he knew what the was. He said "you have cimema cramp" WHATS THAT. Your braces are done up to your FLYS BOOM BOOM.
Liz, Conrad's Partner has just Emailed me about Statins, . She says a friend of hers had excruciating pain in her shoulders and difficulty breathing, these are suppose to be the symptons of taking statins. Will have to have words with doc. about them. I have been taking them for almost NINE YEARS.
Well I am off to watch Tele, If there is anything worth watching.

You'll be the local PINCUSHION too Frank with all these injections in different bits of you! I have a black bruise on my arm today the size of a 10p from yesterday's trip to the nurse! It's good they can help with different treatments these days though and I think low testosterone can affect so much in your body, including your sleep, so hopefully you will benefit in all ways and become a 'new' man.......who knows, you might get muscles like Popeye!!! :-)
At the time you were dealing with Pension and Family Allowance books in the 70s, I would have been on the receiving end when they were sent in from our local Post Offices here!! I don't think the public realise how much work all these books involved. People would often hand these books to their Post Office instead of send them direct. Not easy for the Postmaster to have to tell people he had to take their book from them to send to us either.......some would have made a right fuss I'm sure!!
David, OH used to get given Whisky as a gift, yet he very rarely drinks it. He used to end up passing it on to someone else.
We were looking under some of the decs boxes on a chair in the conservatory today........and found a big box of chocs we'd forgot about. :-0 Not many left now though. :-)
Off to bed now.......beauty sleep to catch up on.....lol. ;-) <3 <3

Liz, this was Ivan, the Welsh pony I bought as a foal when I was 16. I've popped it on temporarily, as he could just get his head over the gate too.........and could jump over it and out of the field! He was young and very frisky then though.
My friend with the New Forest ponies says she has bought a small Shetland ram to replace the larger (and less manageable) ram she had before. Apparently he is pursuing her large, matronly ewes with enthusiasm, but only time will tell if he has been successful. I must go and see his children if there are any! I just 'googled' as I don't remember ever seeing any and they seem to come in all colour combinations.

Ann,years ago I used to notice ewes in the fiels with red or blue paint snears on their back. Some one expained that the ram had its underneath painted. That way the farmer could tell at a glance haw many of his ewes had been coupled.

Oh Frank .As Ann said you could be a new man with all this Testerone Top ups ;-) ;-) It might get rid of a lot of your problems.I hope it works a treat for you. I really don't think I would fancy injections into my knee bone(or any bone) :-S
It is quite a pleasant morning here.I'm just taking some towels to pop in my neighbours machine and then hopefully get them out on my line.
Ann I love your pony pic :-D.He looks a character.
Stay warm Shirl Brrrrr -16 that IS cold.

Morning All and Evening Kim,
Home alone as oh has had to go up the church to look at the boiler!! A couple of the others have been fiddling around with some kind of nut thing they were trying to get undone and oh said it is an opposit thread and they have tightened up instead. He said he wished they would just leave it alone and call him if they have truble with it instead of making him more.... Our boiler room at the church goes under ground quite a bit and always floods if we have a lot of rain as the water comes off the big house and fills the boiler room. Oh has had to pump it out quite often.
Am waaiting for a parcel to be collected and one delivered for oh too so I can't go anywhere. Not that I need to anyway.
Going back to reins for children I think they now have a sort of lead which you attach to a childs wrist a bit like a dog on a lead!! I did see a child in reins in Bideford yesterday and this child was quite tall but maybe there was a reason for this.

My friend Sophie bought me a month on here not knowing I had left so decided to apologise if I offended anyone I am using the month to try and trace a friend of Annies who does not know she died of blood poisoning in spite of Harley Street specialised treatment it was such a sad awful death and broke my heart it really did. I loved her so much. She was a real friend. I did send a message to you all but mentioned some drink and my message was not on I remember dear William commented on something straight after.
Thank you to those people who did send me cards at Christmas that was so sweet of you and I did appreciate the thought.
I had to take a loan and fly off to the States arriving just before the dreadful weather with the wind whirling which just got worse and worse .Jess had left the coast after some battering winds and was in a 104 floor skyscraper I spent one night and just wanted to die black clouds rolling around outside and the building seem to shake lets go said Ryan pack a small bag and lets get out of here .April tried to take her best toys and Ryan just grabbed her and shoved her out the door we drove out of New York in battering winds and rain right down to New England to a little house called Puddle Ryan never explained why. I had time to say hello calm down Jessica kiss the kids and fly back the plane was then delayed due to the weather and I had to hang out in a hotel luckily Ryan paid .
I knew Annie was ill seing her lovely house for sale was so upsetting the love and devotion she had put into that garden.
Beryls got brittle bones and is moving in with one of the girls after breaking a leg months ago
I must just tell you about Mrs Clause in our local paper Cass Beryls daughter dressed up like Mrs Christmas and got arrested by a local policeman strolling down our road. She said romantic things to him in spite of a warning dressed in a mini skirted outfit with two of her children in tow who wore elves outfits.
The local paper said Mrs Clause and Cassies name was arrested over the Christmas period and will appear in court but not the elves who were her two children being of a young age.
The police officer was very upset how Wool//// conducted herself calling the policeman snuggle bunnie and cuddling him here manner of dress indicated the lady was either intoxicated or out of her mind. Her little helpers were pulling his uniform and asking for money to buy sweets. The PC had to struggle to get free and and later noted Mother Clause address and sent for a senior policeman who arrested her. Cass went to court and got off with a big fine .
I posted a picture of me in Ireland have my pictures on line now just tried to keep myself going amongst the tears .Maureen that latest robin card was beautiful I put it in a frame.
I am a bit sad you reacted to my Christmas cards I was just being nice HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM SHEILA. thought you all n ew me better than that.

Well hallo stranger, It is news to me about christmas cards Shelia, Who reacted to what ??? Why is it that you always attract attention,??? or is it my imagination.Sorry about your bad news again, and your frightful trip to the USA
Ros has been busy taking down the cards, and outside lights, The light tree and door display. Jan and Conrad are coming tomorrow to dissmantle the tree and put all the baubles away.
Have you noticed how all the brochures from Holiday companies and seed companies are starting to drop on the mat !! Some of them I have never seen before. they must get our address from somewhere or someone.
You might remember I complained to Sainsbur## about the meal we had there. Well now they have my Email address. Things ae coming through on a daily basis. about offers in store Petrol prices etc. It makes you say you will never complain and leave your Email.
Clouds are beginning to build from the South West. So we might be in for some wet stuff.
Can't decide what to have for dinner tonight. No doubt I will come up with something.

Hello Sheila. This is a surprise. That is a lovely pic of you. What a traumatic time you had on your visit to the US.I bet you glad to get home. Mel put up your message for us all to see,and I was very sorry to see that your good friend Annie had died.It is probably a good idea for Beryl now to move in with one of her girls. Not Mrs Claus is it??? :-D :-D
Thanks for your Xmas Card.I don't understand what you mean by peoples reaction to your cards.??
Well I am almost finished taking decs down. But the tree is wobbling so badly now after I have been tugging the baubles and things off so I have had to leave the lights on and the fairy until either James or Chris is home.
Mel I hope the lady who fell off her horse isn't too badly hurt :-(

We had two Xmas cards in the post today!!! One from Australia that had been to St Lucia! and one from Wantage posted 15th Dec!! better late than never I suppose! It's really black here now but so far no rain!! Have planted those bulbs!!! shouldn't think they'll do much but you never know!! Ann I was very interested in your pony, and laughed about the Ewes!! Laura had a Welsh/ when she was 18 called Mayfair who was 8. She (Mayfair) stayed with us until she died at the ripe old age of 31!!!! Merlin has been in his paddock today, and had some company as the farm next door's DIL(!!) is staying and her two large horses are frisking around their field next door to him. It was lovely, and a bit sad (they're going on Sunday) as he seemed to really enjoy their company - but there you go, we just can't have two!!! OH is watching 'Bergerac'! so much for not watching TV in the daytime!!!! Oh, chap's come to give us a price for cutting our very overgrown hedge - Telly's gone off!!

Sounds like you have had a busy time with all your comings and goings. So sad about Annie but what a nice surprise to get a month paid for you on GR so now you can pop in with all your news. :-D :-D :-D <3 <3
Just going to take oh a cuppa as his parcel has just arrived and now he can get on with the top he is making for the little boy who comes to listen to the bells at Okehampton on a Sunday morning. He made one before but gave it to the little boy next door because the other boy did'nt turn up a couple of weeks before Chirstmas.

Evening all,
Well its been a dry day here but i think its been colder ,we haven't had the heating on though during the day which is good considering it is January!!
Nice to see you back Sheila, and thanks for your christmas card ,what a time you've had lately what with losing your friend and then your trip ,it must have been frightening being in the US with dreadful weather like that. I don't understand what you mean about peoples reaction to your cards ? I didn't know you could pay for a month on here i thought it was for six months at a time .
I like your new photo Ann , Ivan has his ears perked up, what a little monkey he was jumping the gate :-)
We have heard at last about the Pallets that hubby was charged £120 for....we don't have to pay for them .....well we weren't going to any way :-P i cut £120 off the bill when we paid it ,took them long enough to sort it out .
Jane, have you heard any thing about your insurance claim ? i think its badness you haven't had the money to buy your white goods after all this time .
Hubby and i had a walk round the town this morning as it was market day ,i bought some lovely Chestnuts from the veg stall ,the ones i bought from Morri*sons were terrible so many bad ones in the net . Also bought a new calender and a few other bits and bobs.

Mandy..funny you should ask .You know I have been waiting for a Voucher for Curr** and a separate cheque.Well today 2 envelopes arrived and they have sent 2 (cards) not actually vouchers .I knew I was getting one for £399.99.I think a big mistake has been made.It must have been to do with the 'glitch' in the system. So I have £399.99 x2 !!!!!.Issued on different days as well. Not sure what to do now ;-) :-S I have asked Hugo for an invoice for Laundry I have had done and put a claim in for that.We still haven't had a cheque for electicity used with the last lot of dryers.I do get fed up having to chase them all them all the time. Good for you knocking that amount off the bill Mandy. At least that is all sorted now.
It's looking very bare in here now.A big gap where the Christmas tree was and all decs boxed up ready to go back in the loft.I have a huge pile of cards ready to make a list of who I have had from this(oops) last year lol. The dust is horrendous
