Very quite on here today

Mel i bet you carn't wait to see what's feeding in the garden ,will be very interesting to see whats about in the night .

I have to keep thinking what the day is ,it puts you all out having these holidays :-D

Made a lovely bread and butter pudding with the Panatone ,i thought i'd better use it up before it went mouldy !!

Evening all,

We went to the pub to see Lewis's Chelsea win 2 - 1. I told Ros I will not be dicated to when I can and can not go to the pub for a drink. Didn't go down well. But I must make a stand now and again.

I had put the Turkey in before we went out, and done all the veg. so I got things moving when I got back, and had dinner about 5.30 pm. Lewis has been eating since then, a Turkey Toastie with Tomato's (never heard of that one) but he ate it in no time. I have just cooked a load of Chinese bits and pieces, which he saw in the fridge and decided he fancied some.

Ros did eat a dinner, even though not much. She is sitting watching T.V. (that African one) It's the last ever tonight. I'm not that bothered.

FOUND the new slippers, (LEWIS DID) under a basket of ironing, I don't know how they got there !!! The others have gone on permanent walk about. I might get a postcard from them sometime.!!!!

Maureen you are a busy little bee. SPRING CLEANING in the middle of winter. :-D :-D

That wind certainly has a bite to it today. Thank GAWD it wasn't raining walking down to the pub. Yesterday I got soaked from my knees to my shoes. I had to paddle through the flooded carpark, and the main road. There must have been three inches of standing water. and it was pouring along the High strret outside the pub.

Better go and see if Ros wants anything, Lewis is tucking into SPRING ROLLS.!!!!

Oh caught a cat at the food down the garden and frightened it away. It has'nt been back as the food is still there at the mo.

David you are an early bird today.I am only up as Chester was behaving a bit weird so I thought he might need to go out again,but no he didn't :-S so I have got up for nothing.The wind is howling around the house and making whoo ho noises down the chimney.I think it might be this that is disturbing the dog.
Just going to make myself a Cuppa and then take it back to bed.Chris has just had his shower and is getting ready to go to work.

We had a smashing day yesterday with Janice and Larry.Lots of laughs as usual.we watched a Video (amateur) of the 1977 Jubilee celebrations in our old village where we lived.Mum and Dad were in it which was so nice to see and we also spotted our Nana.How nice to watch it on what would have been Mum and Dads 62 wedding anniversary.

Well it is so dark and I think rain may well be on the way.I just had the shortest stroll with Chester(not interested) but now he seems to have got his playful head one and keeps bringing me his toys to have tug and war with. :-S.But I am going out now so he will have to wait until later.
I just realised I didn't buy enough veg....especially sprouts for tomorrow.We are having a rolled Turkey Breast (oh no not turkey again) with bacon and herbs on top,and all the usual trimmings roast pots etc.
I also need some new lights that go inside a nice glass bowl I have.The big plug has come apart and I think is probably a bit dangerous :-S :-S

Raining here but not at all cold.

Well I downloaded the camera this morning and it had only taken 20 items. The only thing I got was a CAT eating the food put out so now there will be no more free dinners for those. The cat we saw and the other one that came were different. I think the second BIG one was the ginger from over the big house.

If I want to feed hoggies I think I shall have to make a feeding station that cats can't get into. It is quite simple just a mushroom crate with a gap cut in the side and a slab on the top so little creatures can get in and not BIG CATS. :-(

How is our Ros today Frank?

David sorry to hear your not sleeping well. Is it just the p**ing or is something on your mind?

Afternoon all, HAPPY NEW YEAR KIM.

What a horrible day, Been raining here since this morning, and very windy.

Ros is feeling a bit better today, she has showered and washed her hair. On the other hsand I have one hell of a headache and IFFY tummy, and feel iccy bick. Hope it's nor going round the household. I don't want Lewis catching anything.

Trust the local cats to find a free meal, our neighbours cats are always on our back lawn clearing up any tit bits we put out for the birds.

Glad you had a nice day with Janice Jane, It's so nice when you get on so well, the day doesn't seem long enough.

The Tele is on, but nobody watching it, !!! Lewisis on his new I pad. What a wonderful bit of kit that is. He talks to it and it replys :-0 :-0 :-0 He can contact his dad by just talking to the thing. My how things have developed since our tin can telephones !!!

They are off to Tesc# to get bread, eggs and any bits we need. I will have a doze in the armchair for an hour.

Wet and windy day again , really cold.
Managed to get B&Q this morning, bought a plant pot for a plant that I want to put in my dinning room and a table lamp that matches the plant pot , lots of bargains for today only, if you spent £50 you get 15% off , bought some white gloss paint too.
we have 2 new sideboards( one for OH fish tank) and a display cupboard arriving on the 7th January, and that's my dinning room finished.
When all the trimmings are down and we are back to normal I will take some well over due photo's to show you of the new extension ,

12 years today my mum passed away, goodness how time flies.

Ros and Lewis are back from Tesc#. I have been playing cards since they went. My how time fly's when you are enjoying yourself..

We are now deciding what to eat this afternoon, before Lewis goes back. Ros has bought some garlic mushrooms,potato wedges (filled skin thingies) We had clold turkey and ham ans salad, so I am sure I can make something that they will eat..

Just going to have a cup of tea and mince pies. (they don't seem to be going down in number) but I suppose they are. !!!

Are you out partying tonighjt ?? or like us round the Tele. ?? in the dry and warm.

My p---er is working as well as it ever did.

Well this weather is really horrible.I think the rain might have gone now and the wind seems to have calmed down but it is so dark.I have the fire lit even though it isn't cold.
James and Jess have gone into town so it is just me and Chester (BLISS).They are out for a meal with friends tonight to some place in Rothwell.I think a Steakhouse .So just Darby and Joan at home :-D.It has been a few years since we were out on New Years Eve.I do like to stay up if I can just to open the door at midnight tp hear fireworks horns hooters etc.
I used to love hearing the ships in Plymouth Sound.Oh I do miss that :-(
My Nephew (Janice's youngest) Matthew is an amazing artist.He did a sketch with a fine biro for Janice and Larry's Xmas present.It's amazing.I have it on my phone and am trying to email it to my pooter so I can send it.
Ann I did try and send it to you from my phone.Don't know if it was successful.
I just see an email so hopefully this is it.

Oh Mel, i thought the camera was going to bring a nice surprise instead a couple of Cats !! still at least it wasn't a BIG Cat !! would be nice to see a fox or some thing like that.

What a pair you too are Frank!! you must both have a bug that keeps coming back ,plain food for you today then !! i wouldn't go eating those Garlic Mushrooms :-S or you'll be keeping your white friend company again!! :-S
No partying for us ,will try to keep up ,like Jane i like to see the fireworks .

Well the family are all coming tomorrow ,so i will be cooking for ten !! have got ahead and set the table ,done the veg and sorted out the china , i like to be organised .

Pasta for us tonight nice and easy ,the Turkey has all gone and the gammon too thank goodness ,and i threw out about four sausage rolls so not to much waste !!

Has anyone had the email of my nephews pic please.I just need to know that I have done it right.(or not)

Good old Lewis finding the SLIPPERS Frank! I see it's back to the sips of water by the sounds of it. Wasn't the pints at the pub I hope! :-S Poor Ros seems to keep relapsing too. I think all the 'bugs' keep attacking us, OH seems to be sneezing one day, then is fine the next and I overheard someone say yesterday that they had had the trots so bad they went to A & E!! :-0

Look forward to seeing your extension pics Fiona. It must be great to be doing the finishing touches now.

We went to Ik*a for opening time this morning, had a very nice 9 item brekkie only £2.75 each. We got the bookcases and some pillow protectors we needed and some notepads and bits and bobs you always see once you get there! The old pillow protectors will be going to the dog's home for their baskets once they are washed. :-D

We called at the supermarket on the way back, but had a job to park.......the retail park visitors to the sales park there then walk to the retail park. I spotted a little boy, about 3 years old bawling and shouting for his mum and watched him a few minutes to see if she appeared. I just couldn't believe all the people ignoring him, even when he went up to them crying for his mummy!! She didn't appear, so I went and asked him if he'd lost his mummy and he nodded and said yes. I told him I could take him to the desk for lost little boys and they would find his mummy, but he just wanted to keep looking for her. I thought it best just to follow behind him and then told an assistant when we passed one. I told him the lady worked in the shop and would find his mummy, but as we walked away, she was having to hang onto his hood to stop him running off! I'm sure his mummy had told him not to talk to strangers, so it was quite difficult to help without scaring him, other than see he came to no harm!!

We were hoping to go back to Cornwall in 2013, but noticed the couples discount had gone on the place we stayed at which made it quite expensive! Not to be beaten, I told OH I would email them to confirm it wasn't an error and say how we'd hoped to stay again. Got a reply today saying how they couldn't do the discounts anymore, but they'd love to have us back and we could still have the discount!!!. :-D :-D It has quite bucked me up!

Jane, your nephew's drawing is absolutely brilliant!! I love it!!

LOL, Mel!! Feeding the local moggies eh? I bet their owners would tell you what fussy eaters they are too. ;-) The new arrangement you have thought up should have them foxed though. I wonder if they have scared off the other wildlife?
