Morning All and Evening Kim,

Gosh did it blow last night and it did'nt give up all night. The telly ariel on the end of the bungalow creaked and groaned all night and kept me awake a bit after I got up for a LEAK!!!! sorry did'nt really mean to swear...... ;-)

I was so tired I went to bed at 11.58pm which is unusual for me and I got up at 9. 58am.

This is the first night it dos'nt look like Hogwart has had a party. Plenty of little presents but it has'nt ripped the paper up today.

Thanks for the emails William.

Frank Report 7 Dec 2012 12:02

Well, I can't say much more about "wet wallnuts" I think you all have covered them.

Bad news flooding in. My cousin has mailes me to say her grand daughter aged EIGHT MONTHS, has just passed away with the MRSA virus. From what I gather the child might have been a mistake, as she has other children aged NINE AND TEN. but that doesn't matter. She was loved by all and a great loss to the Family.

I also heard, that our old local copper. Who lost his son aged seventeen in a motorbike accident THIRTY years ago, has just lost his Daughter aged fourty eight. There seems something wrong when you loose your children so young. Heart felt love goes out to them.

I am going to resend the ECARD. So if you have already had one, HAVE ANOTHER ON ME. I hope I can find the wording I used, otherwise it will be something different.

Will. You must have the patients of JOB. to sit and do all those models. They are a work of art. I have forwarded them on to my friend with the model trains. I am sure he will be interested in seeing them.

We had a lot of rain last night, into this morning. The wind was gusting like mad during the night also. Bright blue sky now with a strong wind.

Oh, it all happens here. I came out of the shower this morning, walked in the lounge and sat down. There was one HELL of a crash, the Christmas tree decided to fall over. It fell right across the sofa and all the baubles and decorarions fell everywhere. Ros has spent the last two hours putting it all together again :-0 :-0 :-0

Carolyn is calling round to go shopping, I will get her to look at my wrapping and see if she vcan improve on it. Otherwise it will have to be a bag and tissue.

Jane Report 7 Dec 2012 12:54

I remember a few years ago when the continental market came.I bought a big bag of Walnuts. But I thought they must have gone off .I took them back and it was explained that they were in fact wet and supposed to be like that.I did feel a right dipstick :-S
But I don't like them .I much prefer the dry ones

Frank that is so sad for your Cousin and the parents and siblings of the little baby, and also for the chap who has now lost both his children.Life is such a bit** sometimes. You wonder just why some people suffer so much.

I am just sitting down after completing all the ironing. My thumbs are killing now so will give them a rest.
Then after lunch I will do the rest of my cards and wrap a couple of presents.
I bought James a jacket........how on earth am I going to do that one :-S :-S

The sun is still shining brightly.I have had to pull the curtain across again.

Frank I hope the Xmas tree stays up now !!!!

Frank

Frank Report 7 Dec 2012 14:34

So do I Jane,
I have made dozen and harf of sausage rolls. and prepared dinner for tonight. What it's going to be like I just don't know. Loin pork slices, (I have slightly cooked them) I have done a pile of Onions and Mushrooms in cream and covered the pork. Then sliced two large potatoe's on the Mandolin and laid them across the top. overed them in melted butter, and grated some cheese om top. It will be a case of like it or lump it !!!! ONE DISH DINNER >

I have hoovered all through, tinsel all over the carpet and Sofa.!!! If the Bl###y thing falls over again it can stay down :-| :-| :-| Happy little bunny aren't I

Have jusr tried repacking the present, if it wasn't breakable it would have ended up like the tape last year. Found a box amongst her things, but it is too small. So wrapping paper it will have to be. I hope a kind neighbour will do it for me. I haven't got one of those bags. !!!

Call it favourtism, I got 2 cards from Frank :-) it was the same card but it's such a lovely one Frank it was worth watching twice.

Well I was well and truly stuffed yesterday after my christmas lunch, started with an assortment of Spanish tappas, then linguine with tiger prawns and chorizo, I love all that foreign muck ;-) then white chocolate mousse all washed down with two large glasses of white wine. I have to settle for my carrot stick and humous today :-(

Congrats William on winning first prize and thank you for the e.mail of your models.

Oh dear Jane, Janice and family do seem to be having a lot of bad luck lately, at least Michael came out of it in one piece, you just never know what's around the corner.

Like Mel with her wreaths I'm still busy with cards, so better get back to it.

Yes, I to had two cards from Frank, both were very welcome. Goodness Frank that is awful about the baby, I am sorry, menangitis is a very dangerous illness particularly in the very young - feel very sad for the parents. Also you other friend, as you say Maureen, you simply don't know what is the round the next corner. i had a friend once and she used to say that the trouble with life is that it has a habbit of rearing up and throwing buckets of sh** all over you! and aint that the truth! Must take Millie out, but don't like the look of this weather! Very impressed with your models William, they must have taken a lot of time and patience.

Jane

Jane Report 7 Dec 2012 17:42

Mel ,I just heard that on the radio. This is just so tragic.I wonder what those 2 hoaxers are feeling now??????

Well you lucky people having 2 cards from Frank.I still havent got mine :-S :-S :-S

James had a bit of good news today. He will have his job up until the 21st.So that is one more weeks money. Then it will be getting down to job hunting yet again.

Maureen the dinner sounded scrummy :-D

Tonight I am doing Lamb Steaks with a Redcurrant Jus(well I will give the jus a go) Persian Pilaf ,Asparagus and baby carrots.Sounds quite posh doesn't it lol

Janice couldn't talk about the crash. She actually had a call from one of the people who pulled Michel from the car as Michel asked for her.Poor girl took over an hour to get to him as the road had been closed and the traffic build up was horrendous. She got there not knowing what she would find.I think she saw the car first so can imagine her mind going into turmoil. But Michel was ok in the back of the ambulance.
There was one funny thing though......She was so desperate for a wee she knew she just had to go.So she managed to put a jacket up at her side window and she used her OH's lunch box.I have no idea how she actually managed to do it,ie somehow removing trousers, undies .But she said that was the only choice other than soaking the seat.I don't think Larry will be using that lunch box again lolol
Michel was 'peppered ' with shattered glass on the side of his face and neck. But luckily it is all superficial.

Annx Report 7 Dec 2012 20:51

Evening All,

I had 2 cards from Frank too!! :-D Just wondering if there will be a third!! ;-) lol. I also had 1 other GR card! :-D

What sad news for those families Frank. It must be so hard for them right now. That poor nurse too.......she must have been in an awful state to have done that. I doubt the hoaxers have feelings to care though. Your meal sounds delicious to me.

We had a nice time at class this morning, but I got so many knots I started again 3 times!! :-| It meant I learned something new though......a weaver's knot to join the thread. It is a pretty 'collar' type necklace, but will take a while to finish! The teacher had brought us all a card and a present which was nice.

We were going to see the new 'digitised' Lawrence of Arabia film this afternoon but OH is streaming with cough and cold now and I said I wasn't risking getting it sitting next to him for over 3 hours. lol The poor thing said he didn't feel up to it anyway, so he had a nice snooze this afternoon instead. :-) I suspect he will be ok for footie at Corby tomorrow though ;-). lol.

Maureen, it sounds like you had a good lunch out. It's good to have to let your belt out sometimes. (or your 'stays as my grandma would say!)

Thanks for the photos William......I never knew people made models like that before! :-) They are very good and must keep you busy for hours. Is Carmel feeling better now?

At 1.00am this morning I realised I'd left my camera in the car and decided to fetch it as the intense cold wouldn't do it any good. I stuck my dressing gown around my shoulders and nipped out the front which triggered the outside light!! I sped to my car out of range of the light and it went off thank goodness, as I was hoping not to be 'seen' and give anyone a fright or worse! Guess what, OH followed me and stood waving his arm out of the doorway to make the big light come back on!!!! :-0 :-0 He thought he was helping me to see!! I told him the tiny light in the car was more than adequate and I didn't need a BIG spotlight on me in my bedroom attire thanks very much!! :-| Sometimes I don't think he knows me at all!!! :-S lol.

Annx

Annx Report 7 Dec 2012 21:12

How awful Shirl. Some people do get a rough deal in life and it must be so hard to comfort a child when your own heart is breaking.

Happy Birthday to Katie but she can't be 3 already surely! Time is flying by. I bet the little ones are looking forward to tomorrow......hope you have comfy shoes Mandy!

I used to carry an old plastic jug in my car boot when I went visiting around Rutland in my job Jane, just in case I needed it as the toilets were few and far between!! It is surprising what you can manage when desperate! I bet Janice was so glad to find something she could use. I ought to still carry something on motorways.......if there's an accident you can be stuck for hours.......

Frank

Frank Report 7 Dec 2012 21:25

CARDS CARDS CARDS. They are drivcing me mad. :-D :-D

I will send them again to you THREE. I don't want you left out.

The dinner would have been nice enough tonight IF I hadn't dropped of to sleep. I woke at 6.00pm and could smell it. Ros was on the computer and didn't smell it. The top was well done, to the point that it was very CRUNCHY. The underneath was very tasty.

Those Ausie DJs must be feeling very low tonight. I see they have been taken off air. !!!

I can just imagine you in your nightie and dressing gown Ann. Your OH did just what I would do. TRYING TO HELP :-D :-D :-D

Confession time, When we came back from yours Jane, we got stuck in so much traffic that Ros had to wee in a plastic box. She did it with a great deal of difficulty. :-D :-D :-D

Mandy, I can't believe Katie is 3 years old, it only seems months ago that you said you were a granma.

Shirt, what a sad story, at least she did what she wanted to do. It seems I can relate to so many sad stories. Another friend of ours, who happened to be a policeman, was at an incident where the gang drew a gun on him. He wasn't badly huirt, but it bought on an early CANCER. On his death bed, he married his long time partner.and died the next day. Cheerful soul aren't I. !!!!

Jane you never did tell us the outcome with your niece and the floods. Was she allright, in the end ???
