Hi Shirl. only just saw you there. No Chloe is a name my daughter likes, it was going to be Isabella if Harry had been a girl, I like both names, Eve is after my mum. Can you imagine her birthdays parties when she's a bit older at least it's an easy date to remember.

Seems to be again working now .
Oh i see the baby's here :-D congratulations Maureen <3 and congratulations to the proud mum and dad too , lovely name ,looking forward to seeing a photo soon.
Frank, thanks for your photo's ,another dear little girl .
Jake is left handed and it looks like Katie will be too, when she holds a crayon its always in her left hand ,hubby's mother was left handed .
Well that's god news about the work only taking five days Jane , you'll be glad to get all done now and get rid of the dust .
It's been quite a nice sunny day here ,hubby had the afternoon off so we took a trip up to the Ran*e ,bought Toby a new bed and he's not very keen on it :-( we got him a nice thick one as i though it would keep him nice and warm at night ,but when he gets on it it fills with air !! and then his paws slip on it !! carn't take it back as i've taken the label off now :-S hope he takes to it ,it cost £30 !!
Hubby has tomorrow off and we're having Jake and Chesea for the day , so it will be fun and games here :-D :-D i must sort out some jigsaws and games for them .

Certainly is Maureen.
Nice that Eve is after your mum.
My mum was left handed and I used the iron after her to do the tea towels etc. When I got married I could'nt understand why I could'nt iron!!
I was putting the board up right handed so it was not the way I was used to. I put it up now right handed but iron with both hands. Shirt sleeves especially up with one hand and change over and back sown with the other.
Why I ask is that I have two good pairs of left handed scissors that I bought for mum as left handed people make scissors blunt. One is a pair of dress making scissors and the other can be used as kitchen scissors.
I was wondering if Ros was left handed? as I know she does a lot of needlework type things for charity

I'm a left hander Mel :-D Cack handed as my Dad used to say when he watched trying to slice bread or cut something with scissors.I never could cut a loaf straight .I do have a problem when I am supposed to use a fork and spoon for some desserts as I can't manage to hold a fork or a spoon in my right hand :-S
I hope we don't get any Trick or Treaters as I forgot to buy any sweeties.Mind you it has been years since we had any children knock at Halloween. They have all grown up on this road and it is a long way from other houses .So fingers crossed :-D Also the weather is so foul it might put some off.
Pork Steaks,Mushrooms,Saute Pots and baby carrots and beans tonight, plus cauliflower cheese.
I have rain coming down my Chimney!.It is actually spots off soot !!
I think Fitz was going to have a look at a Care Home today for his Mother.I wonder how he got on ??
Maureen how long will your Daughter be in hospital?Did she have to be induced after all? Fiona's next G Child is due on 5th Dec.
Rachel (in Dubai) is also due in December But as we still haven't spoken since her outburst I know no more than that :-S :-S
It is absolutely tipping it down now.

My Brother Dennis irons all his own clothes including his suits. He polishes his shoes every day.The army taught him.

Evening All,
Congratulations to you and the proud parents Maureen. How lucky they are to have one of each now. I remember a colleague who only wanted two and only had more because her hubby wanted a boy......they had 4..... all girls......then she put her foot down!! Chloe seems a popular name for little girls in these parts and Eve is nice too.
It's good to hear Ralph is doing well after the tough time he had, David and that he is enjoying his computer. My OH looks at footie stuff too!!
I've been to the R*nge today Mandy. Lots of Halloween and santa outfits were in people's trolleys. I went just to look at the craft stuff! Fancy Toby not liking his new bed. Maybe a few of his biccies and favourite toys on it might convince him!! Lol. I suppose it feels strange after his other one.
What a faff it was going into the city today. I parked in one of the multistorey parks I usually use. With this one you have to put your WHOLE registration number in and then your money. Well, would the darned thing take my 10ps.....no! Then, while I searched the bottom of my handbag it 'aborted' the transaction and chucked the rest of my money out! Started again, whole registration etc and it still wouldn't accept any of my 10ps. Off I went to another machine and started all over again, 10ps went in fine, but then 5ps rejected at this one!!!! Off to a third machine and that rejected a 5p, so I gave up and put just an hour's worth in so I didn't need 5 or 10ps!! The machines don't give any change so I wonder how many people have to overpay to avoid using these coins? Then the lift out of the carpark is the slowest ever, so I had to leg it everywhere to get done and allow for the slow lift on the way back!!
I am right handed, but have been told I 'dig' with a spade left handed to turn the soil over! lol.
Well, the work will soon be done then Jane.........when you have cleaned up after you will be able to say it is all done and 'dusted' as well. ;-) ;-)

Must get to bed as I am feeling very tired.
Good night all.
Still no lesson. He said he will do it tomorrow. You know what they say. TOMORROW NEVER COMES.

I wonder just how waterproof a hedgehog is with all the spines on their backs? He obviously did'nt like it as thats the fastest I have seen one move! :-S

Mel, I'm not left handed by my grand-daughter Siobhan is (see birthday following this). She is the only one in all the family so I wonder why that is?
Yesterday we went to our great-grandson Ralph's 3rd birthday. His Mummy (Siobhan) made a lovely evening of it and all the family were there. So on the little folk side, there was Ralph's sister Maggie and their cousin, Grace. And more toys as presents than I had time to play with! While all this was going on (from 5pm on) the door kept being answered to Trick or Treater's who all got something. The only thing was, some of the guests kept nipping out the back way and knocking on the door for treats. It was a laugh anyway. Ralph had a Lightning McQueen shaped cake that his Mummy made, very nicely done and very tasty.
Today here it's yukky rainy and I had to go out to go to the doctors. Would have prefered to turn over in bed and go back to sleep. However, today is the little girl next doors birthday and she'll be seven. We think the world of her and hope we get to se her today. We already sent round her card and pressy. Her name is Kiera and would you belive, tomorrow is her Mum's birthday.
Right folks, I'm off to get a hot drink and thaw out about a bit. You all take care and stay snug.
Frank, loved all the cheer-up photos on your email. Keep 'em coming...

Morning all,
I WON'T FORGET MEL. Lewis is just finishing some homework, then he is going to do it with me.
Horrible wet morning here., rain and more rain.
Ros has had to cut a chunck off the King size sheet, she is now sewing it up. Ordinary sheet not big enough.
It's been decided, that we will have a Chinese Takaway tonight, as we haven't treaded Lewis to his favourite food. I had got a chicken out of the freezer but that can sit in the fridge till tomorrow. NO COOKING AGAIN.

At least the kitchen will be shipshape and Bristol fashion for Christmas Jane, that's another phrase you don't hear much of these days.
Didn't get any trick or treaters at the door last night and didn't see any when I was out delivering the ironing either. Perhaps it was too cold.
Baby Chloe weighed in at 9lbs 8ozs. not surprising as she was about 12 days over her due date and didn't show any signs of wanting to join us so was induced, daughter will have to stay in 24 to 48 hours due to the diabetes. Looking forward to going out tomorrow to buy as much pink and frilly things as I can find.
Maybe your granddaughter's left handed gene comes from the other side ot the family William.
Enjoy your Chinese tonight Frank, I'm back on the salads after 10 days of eating and drinking to excess ;-)

What a little bruiser Maureen .91b 8oz ! There is something about buying clothes for baby girls and right up until they disapprove of 'Mums' choice lol.I always found buying boys things much less exciting.
It's been a funny old day weatherwise.Rain, cloud ,bit of sun, rain and so on.Poor Chester seems to be having a bit of bother with his back legs today. So I have heated up my Lavender baggy thing and draped it over his back and hips while he is asleep .
Hannah will shortly be on her way to Heathrow for the flight to Iceland this evening.I think she said snow is forecast in Reykjavik tomorrow.
It is Jo's funeral tomorrow.I was going to go with Hannah but as she is away Janice told me not to worry.I know I would get myself lost finding my way through London to the Church in Hampstead. It has been almost a month since Jo died .I think it is going to be quite an affair.Janice thinks there are 4 choirs and a Saxophonist coming from Paris!.Janice and her OH are going to support Michel as he will be there with William.I can imagine it is going to be a very emotional service and in a way am quite happy not to be going.I never actually met Jo so I don't feel too bad.
Janice is funny .She reckons they will be looked down on by the 'other side' lol I told her not to be so bl****y daft and she is worth a hundred times more than some of Jo's family who to be honest have been less than supportive(except for one sister).Anyway it will a sad day especially having William there to say Bye Bye to his Mummy.......Gosh that made me fill up there :-(........Silly me.
Cup of tea for me now and then James will be home I will nip off to Tesc* for a few things.

Yes Mel, If the children do GOOD things they get HOUSE POINTS.

I have been doing my homework. and seem to be getting use to it. Will prove it by posting the following, My brother Bill final fairwell song at his funeral

Frank Sinatra My Way Lyrics
Send "My Way" Ringtone to your Cell
Songwriters: FAIR, RONALD / RIDEL, STEFANIE J. / MODESTO, MOISES / SHETH, ASHISH
And now, the end is here And so I face the final curtain My friend, I'll say it clear I'll state my case, of which I'm certain I've lived a life that's full I traveled each and ev'ry highway And more, much more than this, I did it my way
Regrets, I've had a few But then again, too few to mention I did what I had to do and saw it through without exemption I planned each charted course, each careful step along the byway And more, much more than this, I did it my way [ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsfreak.com/f/frank+sinatra/my+way_20056378.html ] Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew When I bit off more than I could chew But through it all, when there was doubt I ate it up and spit it out I faced it all and I stood tall and did it my way
I've loved, I've laughed and cried I've had my fill, my share of losing And now, as tears subside, I find it all so amusing To think I did all that And may I say, not in a shy way, "Oh, no, oh, no, not me, I did it my way"
For what is a man, what has he got? If not himself, then he has naught To say the things he truly feels and not the words of one who kneels The record shows I took the blows and did it my way!
Yes, it was my way
