Mo, hope Roly's eye test has gone well this time and that he will soon get the glasses that is the correct for him. I'm wondering if the optician has written someone else's prescription by mistake, so of course when they checked it with the glasses it would read the same. How on earth did they expect him to drive home with them on and then to give them a couple of days to get use to them...never heard anything like it . I'm sure they will be extra careful this time though. |

Well Sallie, the update on the glasses saga is as follows. The optician checked the glasses again, and the readers are the correct prescription, but the distance ones were wrong. |

Hi Mo, I think that the optician was making excuses too,not having had any lunch may have made a small difference to his eyesight, but I don't think it would have been as bad as it was. |

I arrived home 2 days ago. I have been cropping and downsizing and uploading my photos to FB, 3 albums on there but a few more photos to add to the last one. |

Sallie, my G.P chased up my results of the colonoscopy, and there were slight differences, but they are not overly worried, and I have to have it done again in five years time. |

Mo, glad to know that your colonoscopy was okay with no slight difference to be concerned with. |

The doc offered me more antibiotics for my finger but I was reluctant to have them so she prescribed an antibiotic ointment, also various pain killers for headaches. |

I will make a point of seeing you after the elections Huia.. I know you will be busy and we will be putting the house on the market the week after the election.. so I may come up from Huntly to see you.. we are thinking of renting there as a halfway spot between home and Cambridge. |

I have sent my condolences on facebook Huia but wanted to repeat them on here. so sad to lose your husband of so many years, yet you really lost him some time ago. It is a release for him and a relief for you I am sure that he is now at peace. It was good that you were able to be with him even if you were unaware. shall be thinking of you as you do all the things that must be done but do remember to take a few minutes to breathe and think of you. I am sure that as the days pass you will be reliving happier times when the two of you were young. Hold those times and your love for each other in your heart. <3 <3 <3 <3 |

Huia, it was sad to read of Phil's passing, but a happy relief for you both. He is now able to go for his walk abouts, something he used to enjoy doing, before the dreaded disease took hold of him. |
