Mo, it's good to hear from you, and hope that you are not feeling too bad. Jennie always says that the stuff you have to drink is worse than the Colonoscopy itself..although I don't think I would agree with her.lol!!
Jennie was telling us that one of the times she was waiting in the waiting area, a few ladies were chatting with each other, and one of them said that she had spent the night sitting on the toilet reading a book, because she was told as the others had, to stay near the toilet. Jennie said that they all laughed at her, but then she came out with the fact that as she had felt hungry about 7 am so she had had a bacon sarnie, Needless to say that they couldn't do her Colonoscopy that day.
Mo, don't worry about the photos, anytime they have a chance to send them will be fine. Get your appointment over with first.
Huia, sorry to hear that you are suffering from a very bad cold, as Mo said take paracetamol and honey and lemon to help relieve the symptoms. Hope that you will soon feel better. Take care of yourself.
Sylvia, nice to know that you and OH have arrived home safely. Although it sounds as though you didn't have much of a rest, I'm sure that you enjoyed the time there. It was good that you had a restful train journey to Montreal and back.
Hope you have a good journey north and that you will find things more restful than the last couple of weeks.
Jean, how are you and your family today? Hope that you are all okay.
I've been to have a hearing test today, will have some new hearing aids in about two weeks, the right one will be set higher than the left one hearing aid. So it looks as though that my right ear is still worse than my left, although over the last month or so I felt as though my left ear had got worse.
Ann, hope everything is okay with you and T today.
Marie, hope that you and your family are okay, too.
Will speak to you all again soon.
Take care everyone.
Love, Sallie.xxx

LOL Ann, what I am worried about, is how Roly is going to get on if I don't cook for him on Sunday....that will feel like taking sweets from a child, if I can't eat as well. Perhaps he will have to get himself a take away instead. I will be filling myself up on cuppa soups, and oxo drinks, but it wont be the same without having bread to dunk in the soup.
Oh Sallie, what a stupid woman having a bacon sarnie before the proceedure. Like Jennie, it's the moving drink is what I am dreading. Mind you, I take Movical night and morning at the moment, and I don't mind the flavour of that because it's lemon and lime flavour, I have no idea of the taste of the one I have to take at 2.00 p.m on Sunday, then again at 5.00 p.m...cor lummy I must remember to get some more books. Thank goodness the loo is right outside my bedroom door, not to far for me to run with my legs crossed. LOL It's a good job I can laugh about it. I just hope and pray they don't find anything to drastic wrong with me, but I shall have to face it thats if and when it arises.
Oh lord, I have just realised, I have not checked my E.Mails in days, I must go and take a look. Bye for now girls, hugs Mo xxx

Mo can Roly not cook anything for himself? t would do bacon and egg I think. I hadn't realised that you can have cuppa soups at least that is something. It will be memories of enemas at child birth then.

Mo. I thought I would tell you about the bacon sarnie, so that you would have a chuckle. Trouble is she didn't tell them that she had eaten anything so they started the colonoscopy, but of course they could tell on the screen that she had. What a waste of time and money for the hospital, when another patient could have had the colonoscopy instead.
Thing is, Jennie has got use to having them, she has had 7 colonoscopies in the ten years since she was diagnosed.
Mo, hope all goes well for you on Monday, will be thinking about you and hope and pray that the results won't be anything too nasty.
Jean, hope that you feeling less tired now, but it's good that you all enjoyed yourselves and that everything went to plan.
Will chat to you all again soon
Take care.
Love, Sallie. xxx

Oh Ann, don't make me laugh, Roly cook himself something hah. He has decided, thankfully, that he will go and have a meal out, so that I don't smell the cooking, bless his little cotton socks. He said as long as he is back by the time I have to take my first dose of opening medicine, so that just in case I need him. LOL, he would need to be a very brave man, to try and save me from falling down the loo pan....oooh the mind boggles.
Well girls, I have just eaten my last meal till monday lunch time. I had two jacket potato's with grated cheese, no skin though, tonight I shall have a few rich tea fingers before I go to bed.
Bye fo now my friends, I will speak to you Monday some time. Hugs Mo xxx

Hello girls, Thank goodness today is now over. After much fuss and bother in theatre, with the scope refusing to work half way through the proceedure, and them having to start all over again, they found a polyp that they removed, and have sent for biopsy. Nothing else was wrong thank the lord. The results of the biopsy should be back, in ten to fourteen days, but the surgeon told me not to worry about it, as he doesn't think it's anything to be overly concerned with. They tell me the pain is being caused by my bowel not working as it should, and that I need to eat more fibre etc. I always eat healthy, but am not overly fond of fruit, apart from Strawberries, conference pears, and grapes. So they have suggested I have prune juice, and juices with bits in them instead. Thank you all for being patient, and listening to my moans and groans, it has meant a lot to me having your support. At the moment, I have an enormous amount of painful wind that I am trying to get rid of. So my friends, I will say cheerio for now, take care, best wishes, Mo

Too much information there Mo :-D Has Rory got a gas mask on?
Glad it is all over and just hope now that the polyp is insignificant. I bet you enjoyed your first meal
If you don't like fruit do you eat veg? Maybe now that you are not worried the pain will ease as you relax. Hope so anyway.

Mo, glad that today is over and done with for you, and just hope that the polyp is nothing to worry about.
Did you enjoy your lunch after going so long without food? Hope it was something that you really love to eat.
Jennie was telling us that they have to blow you up with air before they can do the colonoscopy, and as you said Mo, it is very painful.
Mo, only too glad to be here for you, so moan and groan all you want, we are here to help and support through any worries that you have. That's partly what friend's are for.
Well. I'm going to have a cuppa now, so will speak to you tomorrow.
Love, Sallie.xxx

Hi girls, Yes Ann, I do like my veg, but tend to be very careful as to what ones I eat. Wind building veg is a no no for me, Broccoli, Sprouts, Cauliflower etc, but I do try to eat a very small portion of it, but suffer afterwards. Today I bought myself the prune juice, and Orange juice with bits in, plus Strawberries, plums, grapes and a load more salad bits. We will lose weight if nothing else LOL
Sallie, yes Jennie is dead right about them filling you with air. Afterwards I thought I might fly away with the wind or should I say breeze....not my own I might add. LOL My lunch was only what I thought would be, one toasted tea cake, Roly ordered me two, and expected me to eat them, well I couldn't leave them could I. But the cup of tea was like nectar from the gods.
Jean,I plumped me bum down in the shade in the garden, and relaxed. We then took ourselves of to our local leisure park, and had a gentle stroll round in the sunshine. We had a delicious ice cream, and sat on a bench like a couple of kids licking our cones, oh so relaxing, especially as all the older children were at school, and it was only the little ones out with their mummies for the day. We watched some little ones having fun in the paddling pool, but we were not sure who was enjoying it more, the children, or the parents, who obviously had to paddle with them. All that was needed ,was the occasional man sitting with his handkerchief on his head on a deck chair. Now thats something you don't see these days, it's all baseball hats turned the wrong way round instead.
Well my lovelies, I will say bye for now, take care, hugs to you all. Mo

Mo, sounds as though you and Roly enjoyed your day out today. I had forgotten about the men wearing a handkerchief in their heads. They use to tie a knot on each corner.....it made a nice little cap to help protect their heads from the sun. LOL!!
Like you Mo, Jennie loves all vegetables but has to be careful on how much she eats.
We went to Derby this afternoon and went in to have a cup of tea, I said the same as you when I started drinking my tea, it was like nectar from the gods. Jennie told me that I am addicted to it.LOL!! I am pleased that you are feeling a bit more relaxed today and was able to go out.
Hello Jean and Ann, hope that you and yours are all alright,
Love, Sallie.xxx

Ann, just looked at your photos of the Lake District, they are beautiful, wish Alun or I were as clever as you taking photographs. Some nice holiday memories to treasure of you altogether.
Mo, hope that you are alright today. It's been a nice day here, although a bit cloudy at times. Did the usual weekly shop this morning and then after lunch we decided to go to our favourite garden centre. Alun bought some long handled shears that we needed and then I went into the craft centre there and just bought a few bits and pieces..
Of course we always go in the coffee shop they have there. can't miss out on our coffee and tea and one of their scones.lol!!
Jean, hope that you are all well there. Has J got over his birthday celebrations yet?
Hope the new car is going along okay----I bet you have had a few outings in it by now.
Sylvia, shouldn't be too long before you are home again- hope all went as planned with your family visit..
I'm sure that your grandson enjoyed his time spent with his cousins.
Marie, haven't heard from you for a long while, hope everything is alright with you and your family.
Huia, how are things with you? I hope that you are feeling a lot better from your flu bug or whatever it was.
Well ladies, will chat to you all again soon.
Take care.
Love, Sallie.
