Hi Laurie, Could you look for William Rickwood Kent please in the 1871 census and also in the Pallots marriage index. On 1881 census William Rickwood 48 Doddington Kent, wife Mary 52 Murston Kent, dau Sophis 19 Baden Kent, son William Rickwood 14 Faversham Kent, grandson William Weaver 2 Murston Kent. 1871 might show extra children and a marriage for William and Mary may show her maiden name. Always hopeful! Thanks very much, Christine

Laurie Wondered if you could help re 1871 census please I did a seperate thread as I couldn't recall who was offering help re 1871. I have some conflicting info between 1881 & 1891 census and would like to see the census for 1871 if at all poss. 1881 William KIRBY b 1827 Pontypool WALES 1891 William KIRBY b 1822 County Limmerick IRELAND This is the right chap as he is living at Hill Cottage in Charlton Kings Gloucestershire in both census. His occupation is Gardener and his wife is Ellen born in Coleford. So now I'm curious to see what is recorded for him on the 1871 census. Could you put me out of my misery please? Thank you in advance & much happiness Debi
