I have been having my tea and looking to see what was on TV tonight so it is all rubbish to me so I will have to select a dvd to watch

Mo it was not nice having to go to the air raid shelter when the air raid warning went it made a terrible whaling noise. and I was at an all girls school out shelter was across the playground near the toilets so snow rain or wind when that went we had to rush across books in our hands with our gas masks it was cold in the brick built shelter. I cannot remember having any heat there either..
The times I had gone across to the toilets and then the warning went off I use to run out of the toilets into the next door shelter.and we would hear the germany planes going over and waited for the bang to come sometimes it did sometimes it didnt we were there often when they came back and we use to wonder who had been bombed,
we missed a lot of our lessons but did a lot of reading.and our French teacher MIss May use to sing in french and we had to follow so we counted up to 100. in French funny how you remember this type of thing.

rita my dad was blinded in one eye in the war when he was evcquated to cormwall and put on a farm with his brother

and i do no thay was not happy and keep runing a way thay was about 10 at the time

shelly a lot of the children who were evacuated during the war went because their parents thought it was the best thing for them . I heard many sad stories. I was evacuated in 1940 and was going to a church school at that time . we went to Pontycammr in South Wales a lot of the children were welcomed and very happy there. I went with three friends from my school two were sister and one sister didnt want to stay with the other so Betty came with me to my billet while her sister Stella went with our other friend. I went to school there and the man of the house was a Miner and he worked terrible hard he was so kind but his wife was the one who wore the trousers he would come home from work black and tired and go and have a bath and come down for his dinner my friend and I had salad nearly every day they grew the stuff in the back garden they had other food. I became very thin and ill and my aunty Kath had come with her children and was in the next road to me she phoned my mother and told her she was worried about me my Mum was so upset she said she would come and fetch me home but aunty Kath told her she would come up for the weekend and bring me, My mum had my sister then and she was still little. when I got home my Mum cried and they kept me off school after I had a medical I could have stayed as a lot of people offered to take me in in Wales but Mum said no. she reported my treatment to the education officer
my friend moved in with her sister and our other friend.

Hi everybody. I was at the gym this morning - then to a friend's house - then to my sister's house.

I had a lot of catching up to do when I got home. I'm all caught up now but it's time to make the dinner.

Rita, your stories are very interesting, I like hearing them. Did anything happen to the woman who didn't feed you properly?

my nanna elizabeth my dads mum was only a small lady and i do remember her very well she was lovley but i do wounder what some of the women did on there own with the childen not there and there husbans at war

my other nan i use to have to call her auntie and she was alway dress making and made them doll you put over the loo roll but now i no why cos on her side there was a line of taylors

well i sat and done nothink all day only washup and kids been a school al day and dauoghter with baby been her sisters all day so iv been all on my own but i have work tomorrow


rita my dad side was what we call post and my mum side was very comon lol

sue i should of gone shoping but coulent be botherd so we are haveing chinees for dinner when the old man come in from work

im being lazy aving cant cook wont cook food!
