Hello Everyone,

Windy and spitting here!! Not a garden day, but like Mel I may go and do some in the greenhouse. There are lettuce to plant and beans and a mini cucumber plant. I will take a bril*o pad with me to stuff in that mousehole....thanks for the tip they are all worth a try! I bet if OH sees it he will tidy it up though.......never thinks to ask why things are there! He's at a meeting at the rather posh Beaumanor Hall today.....with lunch there too......I wouldn't mind that.

I tried some of that 'colour catcher' stuff on the washing that is grey, but it didn't work so it looks like I will be either dyeing everything black or chucking some stuff out. Still, I'm glad the machine worked ok again, it must have just got stuck on the programme..........the old machines didn't seem to have half the problems.

That's good news on the tests Kim. I can see why your daughter isn't easy to deal with just now......teenage heartbreak is tough and her emotions must be all over the place. Still, if things were happening it is good she found out now and not 10 years down the line. She is such a pretty girl and focussing on school work could help her and give her some achievements, but not easy to see that at her age. I wish you luck !!

I want to come Pat!! :-| I LOVE the Yorkshire Dales and have holidayed there quite a few times......it was in the running for this year too!! Mocha will absolutely love it. There are some lovely drives for a sunny day if you go up on the moors and such pretty villages. I think White Scar Caves are near where you are going......plenty of places for a pub lunch and drink too. :-D.I hope your cold soon clears up.

It is amazing where water gets when there is strong wind and rain William. We had a problem with some flashing on the roof a few years ago and ended up with a patch on the lounge ceiling! As you say, no-one can see under the rad, so the bit of damage will be hidden.

We keep the back door locked as well if we are not going in the garden. There are some beautiful things on that site Frank, but I am a bit wary of anything that might have been treated. Certain gemstones are often 'enhanced' with dyes etc and water and alcohol can cause the colour to 'bleed' if not coated, or they can 'fade' in the sun. At least good old glass always looks the same!! The bigger stones can be quite heavy to wear!! One of the ladies in our class made a lovely medium length necklace using inch long tiger eye gemstones. It was so heavy, the teacher said she wouldn't want that taking up her luggage allowance!! lol :-S

My word, the sun's out now........better pop and do my errands!

Thank you for that Annx.
Very interesting.
It's amazing what the powers that be want to know.
And their reasons are not always obvious.

I still think that most households wouldn't be able or indeed willing to lable theirs with som of those titles....

We like to regard our own as OK if not perfect.

HI COULD NOT GET PAGE UP.
KIM POOR YOU another romance gone out the window. Michelle is still grieving having seIng her Tunisian ex on the facebook page full of beautiful face book friends. Having seen mine suffering it does make you feel sad I liked Mohsen but he was a bad lot and I still have a little weep he used to make me laugh when I had been on my own all day and would come in and the kettle was put on a cup of tea appeared with a huge apple or orange. Now I get my ho coming in saying got a sam and thats it. Mohsen and I talked for hours

Pat I am trying to find another holiday place to take Jasper Mocca will love it wont he bless him. Yorkshire is lovely .
I am pleased your scans were ok Kim for the thyroid have had dozens of checks on mine but its ok. Do hope your son will be better.
thanks for the belated birthday wishes also.
Fiona your poor MIL on anti biotics and urine infections are the pits I get them a lot after my kidney operation.

I hope youare feeling better now and enjoyed yourself with your friends.
I am like William today the rain keeps coming keeping me in and I feel a bit flat after two days celebrating birthdays.

Whitby is such a nice little place I have a picture taken by a big anchor in Whitby and loved the Morris dancers. Spent many happy days there.

I made a necklace Ann with tiger eye gemstones once it was heavy and very long and was flicking it around one day while in the garden and hit myself in the mouth and cut my lip served me right it looked very nice but was so heavy. I wore it with all my tee shirts jumpers and everything.

Sherman phoned and said happy birthday gran parent another crinkled cut birthday. I was going to say something rude but decided not to .I said
to Jess that kid gets up my wick and she said Oh take no notice his mother smacks his head so much its effected his brain mum.I say to him
on the phone at home Oh Ryan go and choke on your crisps that made me giggle. Jess says he comes on her phone and says get April quick.
Jess says who you talking to and he says you dummy .Jess is not impressed with Aprils friend but like his mum a lot.

Oh Shirl
just spoke to Lesley my sister in law, she just got in from work and now dashing off to MIL house to get her a few things for hospital, seems MIL has not been eating properly again but did not tell us that :-| :-|
and has developed a kidney infection and the antibiotics were making her very sick, it seems she was up all last night being sick and did not phone to tell anyone she was ill, she keeps saying she does not want to bother anyone but she does not realise she is making things harder for us to be able to help her if we don't know how she is.

we will have to wait till after visiting hours tonight before phoning to find out whats going on,

Evening All
I have had a lovely day with Janice.Larry ,my niece Rachel and the little Minx Amelia. :-S Amelia is such a character and so funny. She will be 2 on the 13th May and is still so tiny she is still in 9-12 months clothes.I will send a pic to you all.She is gorgeous :-D :-D
Janice is moving around a lot easier now ,but still needs to use one or 2 sticks when she goes out.Her leg is still very swollen and looks like a big Ham :-S.I think she does get tired easily because of the effort it takes for her to walk any distance. But she is slowly getting there.
Dreadful journey coming home, with traffic queues and very heavy showers.

William I gave you a wave as we passed your turning on the M6 :-D

Fiona, what a pity your MIL didn't let you know what was going on.Poor lady is having a miserable time isn't she.I hope she gets a hospital bed soon and isn't left hanging around in a corridor for hours.

Kim your Miranda is beautiful. What a smile.I take it she isn't doing much smiling at the moment :-|Broken Romance .I'm not surprised you are fed up with it all.
I can't say that Spider is as pretty though :-S :-S.It made me shiver lol

I 'm sorry not to comment on everyones posts ,but I had read them.I just need to go and get a drink and put my feet up.I feel pooped now.

You are very welcome David. I agree with you and think that a lot of families would have ignored the last column. Some out of respect would not wish to 'label' members of their family. Others would be in denial there was a problem and others may feel ashamed. I dislike seeing 'senile decay' on death certs when 'old age' sounds so much better.

Your poor MIL Fiona, she must be feeling dreadful. At least in hospital she has help at hand to tackle the infection and do something about the antibiotics she is on. It must be very worrying for you and your OH and so difficult when you don't know anything is the matter. I hope you get a good night's sleep tonight before your journey tomorrow.

My word little Amelia has grown hasn't she and has a cheeky little smile. I'm glad Janice is improving. That alone must make her feel a lot happier and more optimistic. Good job you got her that 'zimmer'!! ;-)

Kim, you'd need something bigger than a jamjar to trap that 'monster' under. Shudder, I bet it can run faster than me too! :-0

Sheila, I can well imagine you cutting your lip with the tiger eye, lucky you didn't chip a tooth as well!! That Sherman is a right cheeky boy isn't he, hope it doesn't rub off on April too much. Seeing the beautiful Facebook friends is not going to help Michelle is it, but it must be hard not to look! It is not surprising you miss Mohsen. I'm sure he had those good points too, as no-one is all bad. I hope the paint is the sort that comes off with water . :-S

I feel very tired today so will be off to bed soon.......more rain tomorrow I expect!

Morning all
Sunny day here,

Jane , lovely picture of Ameilia , she's a cutie, ,lovely hair, wish Sofia would wear a slide or band, little minx runs when she see's a comb or brush heading in her direction, lol :-D :-D

MIL not good, got a text from sister in law this morning that MIL had been sick most of the night and couldn't keep any medication down at all so now they have put her on drips for everything, they have checked her heart, and also gave her a dementia test which she almost passed with flying colours,
when asked what year did the WW11 finish , she said 1946 instead of 1945, she was only one year out.

she has not been eating and feeling very sick since last Sunday but did not tell anyone. she rang my OH in Scotland at 7.30 am to say she was not well, what can we do up here she should have rang her other son who is just round the corner then she would have got some help, we thought that they knew she had been unwell again but the last time they saw her she was improving :-S :-S

Anyway we will be travelling down to England tomorrow to visit her and see whats going on,
