got out went into back bedroom, cold bed :-| still no sleep came , got frustrated went back into own bed and in doing so woke OH up and told him to get out and HE CAN go into back bedroom which he did, :-0 :-0
Finely started to relax and went to sleep, woke up and staggered down stairs,
OH working from home, so he decided to take me out for lunch to the local carvery, which was quite nice idea , only food was a bit cold, but I still apprecaite the gesture, <3 <3

Thanks Frank for the garden photo's , you have worked really hard they look beautiful,

HI Well I really enjoyed Oliver it was fantastic only way to describe it .I have been singing all the songs today to myself meeting Brian Connerly was a bonus he was on his way out when we got lost and headed for any exit.
Michelle was held up at work and sent a very nice handsome man to collect me and watch the show with me called Mark a solictor with the bank. We enjoyed our lunch of fish larchi a noodle dish with prawns salmon and cod in a tasty taiwan sauce the chefs special and it came with some lovely crispy chunkie chips. Followed by Champers Jelly with Rashberries and cream.
Fiona glad you are feeling better and relaxed and enjoyed your lunch at the carvery. It is cold here today Icy cold and rained earlier. poor Jasper did not want to go out.
Regina would have been proud of me not bit of meat eaten during that meal I had salmon pate for starters.

I enjoyed Marks interesting conversation it brought the posh side of me out haha does not come out often round this area.

Michelle bless her managed to get away and only missed a bit of the performance of Oliver there was a empty seat next to Mark. The matinee
was full of pensioners mostly so not all the seats were filled.
I enjoyed the scenes of old Victorian London was brill so well done
and the cockey atmosphere with a posher side thrown in and that was excellent also .Loved the scene who will buy and the pretty sellers of flowers and things.
Cat played Nancy she was sixth in find a Nancy that was on TV dark haired half cast girl and was really good also Ian Fletcher out of the bill played Bill Sykes what a dishy Bill Sykes did not like him when he told Nancy to close her eyes and not look at him while he bashed her on the
head. He got a lot of boos at the end. I loved him in the Bill. there was
a doggie also Bullseye who appeared twice and did a long wee when he first walked across the stage next to a poor chap who had a job not to laugh.
I love the Birmingham Hippodrome because its always a laugh everything
is so funny whatever the shows we always sit up front see warts and all.
One little lad acccidently called fagan Brian . Connerly played it down.
he said I will slap your ear you little tyke and picked the lad up and took him off. He was a sweet little ginger headed boy with stripey leggings. .
not many errors though it was very professional
I have been to Hasting Frank

Sounds as if you had a lovely time Sheila, good food and good company ,hope your leg is getting better .

Frank what a pretty garden you have with lots of colour , did i see a huge step ladder in one photo ? i hope you don't go up to the top on that !!!!

We've had some really heavy showers this afternoon with hail and thunder ,just managed to get the washing dry before it started .

Jane, i usually try and do a boil wash at least once a week ,some times they go in on a 60 wash ,but the boil wash helps to keep the pipes clean and stops the machine from getting smelly !!

It's an easy tea tonight just done some carrots and white sprouting broc and we'll have that with the shepherds pie that was left over from last night .
Didn't get round to doing the ironing i did hubby's books instead ,it's the start of his new year so i had the new books to sort out and all the invoices !! a job i love....not !!!

I just added to the bird thread to say about a squirrel that was feeding on the Coconut Fat feeder. The poor thing seems to have lost it's ears :-( :-( and it's eyes looked to bulgy. It looked most odd.
I will send the pic and see if anyone has any ideas as to what is wrong.

Frank Report 20 Apr 2012 17:37

Thanks for your coments regarding my garden. It does keep me and Ros busy, but come SUMMER we can enjoy it. (when it comes)

Has rain quite a bit here today, Ros got a line of washing out. I was sitting in the conservatory reading, when the heavens opened. I got soaked getting the washing it.

Mandy, I use those step ladders to pick the apples and cherries., also to clean out my guttering. I also used them to cut down the big tree branches in the front garden. Bot only with assistance from Ros.

I'm doing pork slices, chips and baked beans for tea tonight. Can't be bothered with a roast.

Ros is trying to mark out the pattern for the twin marriage kneeler for the church. Trial and error. Now she is transferering the tenplates on to cards through carbon paper, there will be over 100 by the time she finishes. When all the tenplates are transfered, they will then cut the material to size. Each tenplate will be a different colour. She has the paitence of JOB. I could never do that. I am now allowed to use a stanley knife to cut out the board, as her wrists and hands aren't strong enough. (I have my uses) Will have a break soon, to see about tea.

MillymollyAmanda

MillymollyAmanda Report 20 Apr 2012 18:18

Oh poor little thing Jane, it does look odd with no ears and funny eyes ,i wonder if it can hear ?

Frank ,you be careful with that Stanley knife , i hate it when hubby uses his ,they are so sharp!!
Ros is a busy bee ,will love to see the Kneelers when they are finished .

Jane

Jane Report 20 Apr 2012 18:27

Frank.....Rather Ros than me lol.I think she is amazing, the things she tackles. :-D :-D
Pork steak things here tonight with new potatoes, and that curly cabbage and baby carrots. The pork has some kind of herby coating on.The last time I did it I cooked it for too long and it was a bit dry.So i will have to be careful tonight.
I bet Chris will be like a wet weekend when he gets in after hardly any sleep last night :-S
It is still dry here, but now feeling a bit chilly.I must get those towels in off the line.

Where is William??I can't think when he last posted(unless I missed him).I do hope he is alright.

I see they are doing the practice run with the Olympic Torch. They could be coming through Kettering tomorrow.

Just as I was starting to Hoover the lounge this afternoon a face appeared at the side window. It was Fitz. His friend who had been to see him dropped him off at the top of the lane so he could do his daily walk back.He thought he would just pop in here first lol.He seemed in pretty good spirits and quite his normal self.I expect though by Sunday he will be worrying about his meeting with the Consultant on Monday.
Can we all keep our fingers crossed that he doesn't get bad news?

I just had a good laugh reading the threads Frank saying about bare chests not including the ladies on here and William offering kisses .William does post some very interesting threads and see he enquired after me not long ago. that was nice.

My leg is not good. But last night I was in pain fell into bed late after sending a message to Kim on the Facebook thing. I staggered to bed with a tube of cream in my hand for my leg fell into bed and during the night felt something wet and soggy .Oh my gosh i thought my lumps burst
its all squisy and wet. I said Les wake up I think my legs oozing out something horrible. Hubby said I think my brain oozing out something horrible coping with you go to sleep. Then he thought he was mean so he jumped out of bed to look and it was my cream I had fallen on it no top
and it was everywhere. A bit like the mamarlade sandwich i lay on after a midnight feast in bed when I fell out with ho and moved into the spare bedroom. My leg is getting better thank you Mandy.

I did enjoy yesterday today is so wet and cold and I have stayed in mostly round the fire.

Jane thank you for your nice comments. i also had
numerous drinks and it was just so nice to be spoilt

i wish i had a nice garden have not had the pleasure of Franks garden pictures so cannot comment.

Annie my friend in stratford is suffering from demenia it is so sad the doctors told her she must not travel anywhere next year until shes had tests. She seems strange and wonders around not knowing what shes doing. Im like that anyway

i wanted to get out of doing another stint in the shop so disapeared for a while.

Nice to see david posted hope you are enjoying life in your bungalow.

William Report 20 Apr 2012 20:48

Hi all, it's the lost William turning up at last like the proverbial bad penny. Thanks for thinking of me Jane, I guess it was your picture of the ear-less squirrel that prompted me to put a few words on the thread.

Well, folks, sorry I've been a bit remiss in not posting, been kind of busy the last few days. I found some family members back in the past that had escaped me and with the help of a friend in Australia (the lengths one has to go to to find relatives in the UK!) I've been adding a lot of second cousins etc. I get carried away with my research once the bug hits me. I've found out that I'm the ninth William in our family for as long as I can trace back (mid -1700's). The family originally came from Oakham, Rutland and a lot of them seemed to be tailors.

Now with the programme find relatives, I'm back to watching and having a tissue nearby (no, boys don't cry - not). I suppose it's because there was only my brother and me and we were a good solid family that I appreciate what it must have been like to find lost relatives - children.

Have you been watching the Syndicate? Great series, good story line and great acting. The Beeb does some good dramas I think. In the last episode when Leanne was chatting to her little girl they linked little fingers. It reminded me in our family if we had a petty falling out or a broken promise, we would link little fingers, shake them up and down and recite "Make it up with ginger beer and never do it again".

Reminiscing (as you do when you get to a certain age) Carmel was going to the sink with a little bag of washing powder and it just gave me a flashback. I said to her, is that the Ricketts Blue bag you've got there? Then I asked her, because I remember my Mum using them to get the whites whiter, how can something that's blue make things white?

A little while ago one us 'male members' (not in a rude context!) was asking about the Saturday morning cinema clubs and the songs we sang. I've got a book here, THE 50's & 60's - THE BEST OF TIMES and in it some one is recalling the same thing. Here we go . . .
We come along on Saturday morning,
Greeting everybody with a smile,
We come along on Saturday morning
Knowing that it's all worthwhile,
as members of the Odeon Club
We all intend to be
Good citizens when we grow up
And champions of the free,
Repeat . . . .

It's a great book that can be picked up and put down anytime, but there's always something there to remind you - in the words of the song.

Okay, let's not overdo it, I've spent at least an hour typing this, so it's time for a cup of coffee - or maybe a glass of something?????

I'll let you know next time. I see the thread is at 991, I'm dying to know who start 200.

Love the Looking for Lost Families. There must be a huge sale of tissues then lol.I think it is lovely that those desperate ,find the B Mothers or Siblings.I wasn't desperate to find mine .I was just curious and am now satisfied :-D.I know where I was better off and that is definitely with my 'Mum and Dad'

Chris has gone off to bed now.Hopefully he will sleep all night. I think he had something on his mind..........told him to take a hike and go to sleep
:-D ;-)

Lovely Gr Son William :-D

Nice to see you back William, They were the days of Sat morning pictures, If I could get mum to give me 6d I would go along, sometimes if no money, would get a mate to open the fire exit and get in that way.

SORRY. I misslead you, It wasn't the Wedding Kneeler that Ros is doing. It's a CURTAIN for the very high window in the chapel.

Shilia I will forward the pictures of the garden if you would like to see them.

Just watching Frank Bruno, he has had a life and half, but still keeps everybodt smiling.

Morning Pat, have a good time at your son's. Taking Mocha this time or leaving him home with dad???

Another sunny day here and hoping it stays like this for the next few days.

OH is cooking hamburgers for tea surrounded by all the dangling spiders outside. He's in good company; there's quite an array in various webs outside.

Shirl how is that head pain, any relief yet? Sheila I hope your leg is healing up and good to talk to you on fb.

Having trouble with my tree, definitely time to buy some more certificates.

Hello to everyone else, enjoy your Saturday. Let's hope you get some sun.
