well that was a wasted journey. It was cancelled for some reason.I think this school is now telling me to look elseswhere lolLast week there was a teacher training day and now this cancellation..You have to pay for the term I wanted to see what it was about before paying out all that money..
There are others in my area but I will need a lift to those.. so I will carry on looking as they say.I also got soaked as the sky opened again on me..

It is trying to fit a class in with my work and linedancing ..And also my food shopping day lol.
These 2 blackbirds are still hanging around so the nest must still be in there. The conifer which is right outside my back door.

I am looking forward to seing Jessica tomorrow. Jessica did not want us to collect her from the airport. I think she wanted us to enjoy my birthday and my son and elder daughter are going to take me to lunch and then Tin Pin Bowling.

Frank I had some pictures of your garden and it is beautifully laid out and I love the tulips and the pear tree .Well done to you and Ross. Your so clever when you have had a stroke.

Our garden is full of really big blossoms from next doors tree that go brown and look really ugly on the lawn . I am unable to complain because the poor man had a fall after a stroke and I do not think it is the right time to say anything. There are lots of mozzy due to wet weather and today I found walking very cold and windy.

What a shame for the squirrel with no ears I have one in my garden and he jumps round my garden swing chair he thinks its a game .My little blackbird comes now and pecks the lounge patio window to tell me he is there.

William Lucas is a very sweet little boy.
My ho looked forward to Mat growing up and I think he misses him.

Mel how are you not having too much trouble with bunnies are you. My friend Annie was moaning about rabbits . I think she is suffering some kind of memory loss because twice she was surposed to go to the doctors and forgot. When she went abroad last time some horrible insect had bitten her foot and some kind of eggs burrowed there way into her skin and her leg is dreadful .I have not seen it but my ho took her some drink she asked him for and he said she was in a bit of a state.

Sophia was up to her tricks at the week end. I went up to ask if she wanted some house work doing. No sign of her so I went up to get a maggy and there she was on the crossing on a Saturday no children with her lollypop board crossing people over the road. Sophia was wearing a bright red jumper blue trousers and a yellow pixie hat. People in cars
were shouting get out the way you silly women and she still stood in the road. Then a policemen came in a car and he said to me what is she doing. He laughed and said I have not seen anyhthing so funny since a drunken bum fell asleep on a crossing and was there next morning dead to the world.

I went to Sophia and said it is Saturday you do not get paid for Saturdays
Sophia said no it is Friday I wonder where all the children had gone to.
I took her home and she had some coffee then fell asleep snoring her head off.

i loved the poem about the little girl and her soldier daddy it made me weep. I printed it out for Jessie to take it to April.

Jane that must have been funny the elephant on Blue Peter I loved Blue Peter I remember them making a telescope out of loo rolls and one of my kids cannot remember which sent it up and won a blue peter badge.

I do hope Fritz gets good results Jane.I have had some cards but hidden them from ho and not opened them will do tomorrow.
I get small cards just shoved through my door. my relatives and friends have never heard of posting cards but its the thought.

Here is just a wee bit from APRILS LETTER made me chuckle

Nannie
hi sorting you out a gift Ryan took me into town.
Sherman said how old is your gran .I said seventy four and he said
yikes she is positively old does she have zillions of crinkles my granparents have thousands my granparent Imee s face is like the grand cannon think she meant canyon.
I said my nannies got three wrinkles but cannot walk very quickly drives everywhere and does not sleep with granpar because she is too old.
School oh yuk I have Mr Shulz he is short and Sherman calls him egg head . We have to wait when the bells goes until he says go .
Shermans dad is the pits he chews gum all the while says to me Hi honey bun . But that Shermans got loads of real cool computor games
but he sits on the floor near me like a puppy dog eating his crisps.
He cannot get up when I stay to eat I get all the mozee town cookies.
Sherman says gee April give me a cookie for a kiss I say no way. mum says I am too young to kiss on the lips I said where would you kiss him then mum said I would not kiss him at all. I do laugh at his pyjamas
they are blue with black spiders all over he is a derk .
Mum says I am two young to kiss Sherman. My first daddy kissed a girl when he was six he told me. I think he will be kissing all the angels in heaven. Rys ok but I miss my real daddy. wish I had rashers the pig here
love to give him a hug Shermans got a poodle all the yanks have poodles .There were four more pages.

Could not get todays page up.
Thank you Frank went on to my e mail last night and it was interesting.

Must go now I promised to take Sophia a salad up otherwise she will stuff
cakes.

I'm still full up from yesterday's meal, those Greeks certainly know how to fill a plate, it was the best Greek restaurant I have been to to date, should do an extra half hour on the cross trainer but can't be bothered.

My head is spinning trying to work out the measurements for the mirrors etc. I'm okay on the ideas it's just the maths I have a problem with, and the cupboards and mirrors are all different sizes. I've cut all the pieces out now so fingers crossed it will work out. I'm just going to pleat the whole width of the material and then it can hang over the cupboard from top to bottom, if that makes sense, it seemed a good idea in my head, the reality might be quite different .

Frank did you ever find your keys that went missing, sounds like you have a 'black hole' in your house. I love carnations, they are my favourite flower, they have a really lovely perfume.

That was interesting Mel about the salt, we always had to throw some over the shoulder if it got spilt, but never knew why.

I was going to say William, that's a bloomin' good rejuvenating pill but looks like you overdid the dose .....lol Lovely looking grandson.

I was a bit disappointed with The Voice, they all seemed to be trying too hard, and not my kind of music, too loud, hopefully now they will all settle down, although with everyone I thought would go through they chose the other one, shows how much I know. The Syndicate is still brilliant though, I would watch anything with Timothy Spall in, a great actor.

Do hope Fitz has good new today, whatever the outcome he has good family and friends to support him.

Hope all goes well tomorrow for you Kim.

According to my Son-i-l, who apparently knows everything, or, he thinks he does, as my daughter would say, May is going to be the coldest month on record, let's hope he doesn't know everything .....lol

It's back to the sewing now, just hope I don't have to go rushing back to Southall again, already miscalculated once.

Dreamed a vivid dream of a typist named Angela McNalley that I was fond of 35 / 40 years ago.
She hadn't aged a day.
Strange,I had hardly though of her for a long time.

I'm back with good news :-D :-D.It seems that all is looking good for Fitz.He will be joining a Medical Trial in about 6 months.I think it is to do with a new medication that reduces the risk of that form of cancer from coming back. There will be 2 groups of patients .One half will be given the Medication and the other half will have a Placebo ,but none will know which group they are in.They will be closely monitored which is good as if there should be anything coming back it will be spotted quickly. So he just needs to get his full strength back now and get on and enjoy life.He should be driving again very soon so my days of chauffeuring will be over :-D

Haven't caught up with posts yet but will do in a bit.I need to finish this ironing I started this morning :-S

Hey Frank, 5.15am for a cuppa, couldn't see the clock - think it's time YOU went to Specsavers. But we've all done it, yes? Sunday morning I was down watching the marathon, Carmel didn't come down till 11.30am! I was just about to ring for the paramedics in case something unthinkable had happened to her when she appeared ... Seems she'd been up in the night and was playing catch-up.

Maureen, I love Timothy Spall too, ever since I first saw him in Alvedazien Pet! (think I spelt that wrong?!?!). He is always so convincing with his characters. I read of him saying he was lucky to be in acting, it wasn't like 'real work', you have to like an actor who says that.

Not only got the washing out & back in dry but also managed to de-frost the freezer this morning. No wonder my back is aching. Off to do some more family history. No rain here - YET!!!

Happy birthday to my brother-in-law Harry in Dublin, even though he can't read this. We are thinking of him.

Maureen, It wasn't the keys, IT WAS PEAS.lol lol

Jane I was on a trial with the Stroke Clinic, they came round while I was in hospital, I was on the trial for 3 years, and each time I went, I had a thorough medical, they looked after so well. Great news for Fitz.

My ol' West ham are playing tonight and the match is on T.V. So I will be down the pub for 7.30. kick off. Either come home full of JOY or WOW.!!!

William, I didn't have my specs on. When you look at a digital clock, the five can look like an eight. The trouble is if I put the specs on I would be wide awake anyway.

I think that is what happened with me when I thought the price of that Olive tree was £59.99...It was an 8 not a 5 lol
Behave tonight Frank ;-).No brawls please :-D :-D
William you have been busy again.Obviously fully recovered now from your nasty cold.

Sheila .loved your post again. What a great letter from April, she is funny isn't she.
As for Sophia in her outfit with
her Lollipop and no children .What can I say lol.
Does your friend Annie have any family or close neighbours to keep an eye on her? It must be a worry for you with her being such a good friend.

Kim ,I hope both you and your son have good results on your thyroids tomorrow.

Maureen ,when is the wedding(I know you have told us) but I forget :-S.You will do them proud I'm sure. :-D :-D
How is that little scamp Alfie these days?

Pat ,you certainly are up for a go aren't you with all this dancing lol.Good on you :-D :-DI hope you find a Zumba class.

So you didn't dream about Sadie then David ;-).I occasionally dream about old boyfriends.I wonder what happened to them all.

I hope I haven't missed anyone out.

We have a very light rain at the moment.Just nowhere near enough to do any good at all :-S :-S
I better get on with grub now.

On the news tonight there were some thatchers working on a pub who have a dog with them, the dog lays on the top of the thatched roof while the men are working !! then they carry him down ,i think they said he weighs six or seven stone!!! what about carrying him up and down !!!

Raining here ,started about five.

I noticed our reporter stayed down on the scaffolding plank Mandy lol,but the chap with the camera was right on top.I reckon he needed danger money for that :-D

Fiona I missed you out . :-S :-S.Sorry you are feeling full of cold again. You really sound under Par at the moment.Hopefully when you see the Dr (next Monday) he will be able to do something to help you get your oomph back.

I don't think I will be having much at all tonight.Fitz treated me to Lunch at Nand** again for all my running him around.
I just saw on the news that Kettering Hospital had one of the best ratings for diagnosing Kidney and Prostate Cancers in this area.Fitz was lucky to be in the right place :-D :-D
Chris has just walked in,so will go and greet him like a good wifey ;-)

Been raining here all day. You who need it are welcome to ours if you want it :-( :-( :-( :-(

Good to hear about Fitz Jane. Give him my regards when you see him next.

How's Janice??

Another thing mum used to say was when I or she took our clothes off she would always shake them. I once asked her why she did that and she said to shake the devil out of them. I still do it now!!;-) ;-)

Jane

Jane Report 23 Apr 2012 21:12

Mel ,I will be seeing Janice on Thursday.Chris and I are going down for the day.
I spoke to her tonight and even though she is still having to walk with 2 sticks she feels that she is 'getting there'.Even though it is very slowly. She had physio again today and it is very painful ,but at least progress now.The poor Physio knows she has her work cut out with Janice :-S

Just watched the programme on the abuse of the elderly lady in that home :-S :-S :-S.I was in tears......and I think 18months prison sentence for the abuser is disgusting.Should be 18 years as far as I'm concerned.

Silent Witness now so toodle pips

Annx Report 23 Apr 2012 21:25

Evening All,

Well, I did a post earlier......but it isn't there! :-S It must have got lost like somebody's PEAS!!

Good news for Fitz then Jane, he must feel a lot better now and much less anxious. It will be good they will be keeping checks on him with the trial too.

I just saw Axel!! What a super dog, Newfoundland crossed with a Labrador Rottie cross......I bet he is quite a weight too. Fancy, he was to be taken to a Rescue Centre as a puppy for a relative, but the chap decided to keep him instead of take him there.

Maureen, I bet the drapes will work fine and you can add to them with trim/bows/flowers if they need it........reminds me, I need to turn some trousers up and OH needs some shortening too......not a favourite job.....the things we wives do!! ;-) Did you say May would be cold?? I hope they've got it wrong ......we will be going away for a week!! lol. Last year it rained when we were away so we thought May would be good this year. :-S Now where are my cardies and thick jacket......ohh and socks?

Frank, the lady who died lived in Leics at South Kilworth, a nice village. Apparently, money has poured in now for the charity she was running for, I think OH said over £80,000.

Sheila, your April is a scream and seems to take after you in being able to tell it well!! lol She is very descriptive isn't she.

Timothy Spall is good isn't he.......think I said a while ago, I always think of him saying 'shake me up Judy' in that Dickens series he was in.

OH had another grisly find this morning. :-0 He has moved the pile of old patio slabs from behind the shed to lay some between the raised boxes. It was behind them and the shed that he found the eaten rabbit and a dead rat a few weeks ago. Right in the corner is a stack of the garden planters where we put them out of the way while we have been redoing the garden. This morning he found another dead rabbit wedged behind the big concrete pots. We can't understand it. The garden is all fenced in with 2 foot concrete gravel boards with solid wooden panels above and a foot of trellis on the top, seven foot high from the ditch in the field the other side. Nothing has burrowed under the fence anywhere and we have never had rabbits in the garden since we fenced it in. It seems odd that a fox carrying a rabbit would leap so high over a trellis topped fence especially when it is overgrown with hedge and brambles the other side where it could hide with it's dinner. I just hope that clearing the slabs so it is open between the shed and fence will put whatever it is OFF!!

Off to bed now to watch a few recordings.......nightie night........hope you sleep better tonight Fiona.
