MIL still bought us easter eggs until a couple of years ago. We managed to tactfully end it then though.

I just read this about how Victorian ladies flirted with a fan and remembered Jane has one and had visions of her doing 'fan language' !! lol

Fan fast--I am independent
Fan slow--I am engaged
Fan with right hand in front of face--Come on
Fan with left hand in front of face--Leave me
Fan open and shut--Kiss me
Fan open wide--Love
Fan half open--Friendship
Fan shut--Hate
Fan swinging--Can I see you home?

By the sound of things JANE, he wasn't a bad judge, picking you. boy will you owe after that. <3 <3 <3 One of these days, we will meet !!! What size DRILL did they use on your NOSE then Jane. ????

Been raining here for quite a time, and heavy rain as well.
I see on Anglia Waters web site. That Blue Badge holders are exempt from the Hose pipe ban. I should had read that before filling all the water butts.

We will have to get use to all these babies. There will be photo's flying about everywhere.

I remember my twin and I having our tonsils out in about 1945/6. They gave us what I thought was a spoonfull of JAM, but it was to put us under before the op. It had the most horrible taste. Also remember having my tooth out at the school dentist. around the same time. Sat in a chair with a cao
pe round my neck. They put a mask over my face and gassed me. I was violently sick on the bus in a towel my mum had taken with us. Have always hated dentists.

Shirl, I will try to send your again, I will check your e-mail address is correct on my E-card site.

Mel ,
My niece Holly Marie was born on 25th December 1990, and never was happy because all her friends would be going to christmas parties around that time , so it sort of took the fun off her special day, when she was little she would have a party during the summer and get big presents like bikes, bouncy castle fun so she could have her own special day,
She would get a lot of smaller presents on Christmas day, some for birthday and some for Christmas, and there would be one wall for Birthday cards & one wall for Christmas cards.

Now as she is older (she was 21 last christmas) she has her birthday presents on Christmas Eve , so she can enjoy opening her Christmas presents on Christmas day.

We hope perhaps this new baby might be born a little earlier or later (Sofia was born 11 days late) so it will have it's own special day, we will just have to wait and see it's too far away to really think about it yet.

Well I'm off to bed with my book, I'm still feeling sort of excited with this baby news, so I need to relax , no coffee plans for tomorrow everyones got other things planned so I can have a lie in,

Night night
xxxxxxxxxx

LOL Frank I think it was a pneumatic drill .I had plastic splint things stitched to the inside of my nostrils to keep the airway open after the op for a week.People don't call me nosey for nothing you know :-D :-D.It worked thank goodness.
Yes my dear Dad was the best Judge. What would he and Mum would have done without me lol.Just the perfect daughter ....and then they got Janice :-S :-S :-S.They didn't know what hit them then lol.She was a very sick baby and had whooping cough.I always remember Mum and Dad describing Janice like a skinned rabbit(poor girl). She doesn't look like one now though :-D.I was quiet and Janice was a live wire..a whirling dervish.I think we were both very lucky girls to have been adopted by 2 wonderful parents.

Not going to the cinema with Fitz tomorrow now as the film he wanted to see isn't on.So I am going down at lunch time and he is going to hopefully dig out some more family history for me :-D

Maureen I am so sorry I forgot to congratulate you too!!! All these lovely grandchildren coming along please may I be fairy godmother to them all?? <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Had chilli tonight and I hope I don't get indigestion like I did last night whith chicken and mash peas and caulli.

I have had a pain in the side all today so have not done much today at all. Thought it may be the sweeping and pruning of high branches on the berberis.

Jane hope the olive tree is ok. I used to put mine in the greenhouse over the winter but forgot the other year and lost it in the winter. My big bay also went brown in some parts but that was ok.

Frank what a poor chap falling out of bed. Hope you sleep well tonight. Take care.

Hello everyone,

So many posts to read I won't remember everything sorry.

William so glad you are feeling better and your doctor was able to sort the problem. They are worth gold when you have a really good and understanding physician looking after your welfare.

Frank so sorry to read that your brother passed away, but pleased that you had a few drinks to farewell him. I didn't get an e-card either, so I must be on the outer. :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-(

Congratulations to all the grandmas on the bubs due this year. Maureen when will you go shopping to get your accessories to go with your new dress?? That will mean another nice lunch and a few more wines - go girl. ;-)

Jane that was a great "ripping yarn", lol sorry. Same happened to me, but in the middle of George Street, Sydney. Not a pretty sight, quick stitching job when I got to work and no end of embarrassment from all the males who saw it happen!!!! :-0 :-0 Fitz must be more comfortable now with the staples removed and the test results can't be too far off either.

Curl how is your back today, you must be due for some good weather too!!!

Hubby had a better result at the doctor's this time around Ann. Good that the young medic apologised.

Another stunning day of 27 again here. I remember at this stage last year it was very cold.

Got forms for son and I to have ultrasounds on our thyroids plus blood work to be done. Doc says I'm in the chronic insomniac category and even sleeping clinics and the like can't help at this stage. Trying some more medication, will have to see what that brings.

Off to have a cuppa and a squizz at the paper. Happy day to one and all.

Am off out now to pick a few bits for Fitz before I go down to see him at 12.I think he is missing being able to hop in the car and drive off.I think it is about 6 weeks altogether before he is supposed to drive.I really can't see him lasting that long.

It has just started raining again.Looks pretty miserable now.

I'll be back later this afternoon.See Ya!

Morning all,

Hi Jane and Kim,

Nothing to report this end, cloudy with the odd bit of blue sky. Ros is dusting and hoovering, and I will sit out of the way.

Thinking of trying to get a table for Sunday lunch, somewhere. to give her a treat.

Morning Just,

Slept late again!! 10.43 when I woke and got up. I wonder why I do that? I did get up twice in the night for a leak perhaps thats why!!

We are off out this evening for our annual Holy Week Dinner with the bell ringers. We go to a nice pub and have a wonderful meal as we don't ring in Holy Week. I have to wash my hair and get things ready to wear.

Weather not so good here as it was cold last night and I turned the heating on. We have had some sun and showers today so far and thats only what I have seen in the last hour!! :-S

May pop in later don't know yet................................

Afternoon everyone,

What a day !! it's been pouring here all morning ,so much for hubby having a day off, we went to Tes*o's then on to sons for coffee ,DIL wanted to go to Morris*n's so we were going to drop her off there on our way home and she was going to walk home ,it's only a five minute walk from their house but it was coming down so hard we waited while she shopped then drove her home ,she would have got drenched !!!

I bought one of those Turkey Breast joints with stuffing and bacon rashers on the top, we had one at Christmas and it was lovely .
Also got a big piece of Pork for the freezer while it was on offer ,thought i'd cut it in half and make two good size joints .
Have got the Easter eggs for the Easter egg hunt ,the little ones loved it last year .
I bought Son and DIL a Thornt*n's Egg each this year ,as big as they are they always look for an egg!!

Glad to hear the snow has gone Fiona ,hope you get a dry weekend so you can all enjoy the Museum .

Mel, you must have needed the sleep to sleep in like that , your always on the go doing some thing ,have a lovely meal tonight .

Maureen Report 4 Apr 2012 15:32

That year's gone quick Mel, I remember you telling us about that lunch last year, hope it's as good this year.

Have bought all the Easter Eggs, only buy for the little ones and granddaughter who is 15, last year I didn't get one for her brother now 20 and he was really disappointed so have got one for him as well this year, they have expensive taste, maybe because they are older they like the Lindt chocolate.

Don't know how you do it Kim, with all your health problems and you always sound so cheerful.

Am off on Friday to Bedford ...... no singing this weekend ....... taking daughter whose getting married and we will be hitting the shops in Milton Keynes to find an outfit for my oldest daughter and there will be fits of giggles as we will be trying on hats and fascinators, must remember to take my dress with me so I can match it up.

Daughter would really like to know the sex of new baby but her partner doesn't so I think they will be waiting to see. I know she would love a girl but as she says, as long as it's healthy that's the main thing.

I'm going to switch the tele on now, the change over is supposed to be today and it keeps saying to retune the box on or after the 4th so fingers crossed I will have some programmes to watch this evening. I'm hopeless at following instructions.

MillymollyAmanda

MillymollyAmanda Report 4 Apr 2012 15:57

Another shopping day Maureen :-D what colour is your outfit ?

Maureen

Maureen Report 4 Apr 2012 16:25

It's blue Mandy, not navy and not royal somewhere inbetween.

I just knew I'd get in a mess with the wretched tele, I've lost all the BBC channels. Had a leaflet on guide to switchover but the options it's giving are not coming up on Menu. Will have to wait for son and he's away for a couple of days. Shall miss The Apprentice tonight now. ****}}}}****{{{{**** That's me turning the air blue :-P
