:-) :-) :-) :-) :-)MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Still barking Jane but no worse so I think I should enjoy the turkey. Speaking of which I managed to put it on some fancy ECO setting till an hour ago so gawd knows when it will be ready!!!!! The fluffed up roast spuds and parsnips are are in now as well. I have a feeling everything will be in the warming drawer waiting for the turkey at this rate. OH keeps asking when it will be ready........he's trying not to spoil his appetite with all the goodies!!

Poor Sarah, that must have really hurt. Sensible precautions to keep an eye on her.

Sadly, sister's Christmas won't be good this year as her MIL in hospital passed away yesterday.

Better go and check the turkey again......might tweak the heat up a bit.

Mandy, the gammon said UNSMOKED on it!! lol OH will polish it off anyway.

Sorry to hear about your Sisters MIL Ann :-(
.It's a dreadful time of year for families who lose someone.

You must have a posh cooker with Eco Setting!!!!!.Never heard of that one.
Turkey here is wrapped in one of the thermal silver blanket things(like you see around the shoulders of people who have run the marathon)I have told Chris it is his job to carve and it can then be left in top oven to keep warm with the rest of the things.Just about to put the roast potatoes in so we are looking at 3pm now to eat.Everyone is on their Kindles :-D Good pressies ;-)
I have had a new watch with the biggest face.I can now see the time without my specs lolol

Hannah has driven Sarah to A&E as she hasn't really been that good this afternoon and has quite a headache after that fall last night.Hopefully it is just some concussion and nothing more serious.

I think we are all feeling rather full up now.I am just having a nice cup of tea.I don't want any more alcohol.(not like me :-D)

I hope you have all had a good day today and have had good food and lovely presents.I feel like I could sleep ,and I know if I was to lie down on the settee I would. But I daren't as I won't sleep tonight. And that won't do :-S :-S

Evening all, Hope you are having a great day. Still stuffed from dinner, just lazing around. Will have supper later.

Annx Report 25 Dec 2011 20:55

Well lunch was an hour later but the Turkey was worth waiting for....really tasty. I didn't know the cooker had this ECO setting Jane, I set it by mistake!! I don't do a lot of cooking in the big oven as the microwave also has elements in to use it as a normal oven and that is usually big enough for us two. Apart from a few chocs I haven't wanted anything else to eat today.......still feel full......and very tired now.

I hope Sarah is ok......better to be safe getting her checked if she wasn't feeling well.

We just watched Andre Rieu.......always uplifting and such a nice man too!! I got a Merry Christmas message as a fan, from his website the other day with a video of him decorating his castle for Christmas, fabulous place! I had a look at booking seats for next December's concert, but we wanted to sit a bit closer and the tickets would be £300-£700 each!! Ouch! After seeing him today, OH said he would'nt mind if we sat where we did last time, but it is almost sold out now anyway. I think they may release extra dates though.

Just been reading one of my xmas presents.........Beading for Dummies!! Nice and easy to follow which I like.

I think we will be off to bed soon to watch Downton Abbey there.......looking forward to it............

Hope you are all full too and enjoying your drinkies and nibbles.

Hello everyone, glad you all had a happy day. Sounds like everyone was fed and watered to the brim.

Lunch filled me up - no room for pudding at all and then we went to see some friends not far from us and didn't get back until after 9 last night. They are the ones that own the little puppy, so I got to meet Jezzie girl and fell in love <3 She's a little darling. Just a few nibbles and I was done. Non-alcoholic champagne, so sweet :-(

Jane glad Sarah is ok - you never can tell with head injuries.

I was very spoiled with some new clothes that actually fit, sandals, my daughter bought me a gold angel necklace, very pretty. Lots of things don't fit so they will be going back to the shops, a summer robe with pretty flowers from my son and lots of pj's. Everyone was pretty happy with their lot I think.

Spoke to my brother in Sydney last night. He was all wrapped up with the Kindle the family bought him. Can't wait to read e-books. Honestly, I didn't know what he was talking about. I know a few of you have them, but I just played dumb ;-) So far behind with technology :-S

Annx sorry to hear about your sister's MIL. I heard from my dear friend in Victoria and they lost her sister-in-law on Christmas Eve. It's been a sad Christmas for some. I hope your throat is improving.

Was thinking about my parents and brother (all gone) and hoping they were looking down on us with a smile.

Off to have a cuppa and some fruit cake. It's been a quiet day here, daughter is away at Jacob's father's place and Joel is over at the cricket nets with his friends. OH is thinking of going to the Sydney game on 3/1 if there are any tickets left.

I love all your news, photos and emails. I'm very fortunate to have strayed onto this thread and met so many kind and charming people.

Morning All

Very windy & wet here.
OH fixing my washing machine decided not to spin on Christmas Eve and OH had a quick look and thought we might have to have a trip out today to the shops for a new one , but he has been cleaning and testing all this morning , and got it going , I will wait to see what he says was wrong with it and wether I get a new one or not. MORE EXPENCE FRANK lol :-|

Kim Sorry about your friends MIL passing away. It really hard to cope with loseing a loved one this time of the year. I was thinking of my dad yesterday, and then on NewYears Eve it will 12 years since my mum has gone,

Mel hope you had a good Christmas , was thinking about you and your mum too,

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 26 Dec 2011 10:52

Morning All,

Thanks for the thoughts Fiona. Dull and miserable here today. I am having to look at my new keyboard because I keep hitting the wrong keys. I don't know why but it seems a bit bigger than the last one b7ut looks the same. The letters and numbers on this one are not in the middle of the keys but to the right and at the top. I suppose they think I am not going to touch there so they won't get worn out!!

Hope you all had lovely presents yesterday as I did but we still have a load to open today.

I had a Nikon camera from oh but have been trying to see if I can use it.There are so many functions and instructions and I hate reading those I just want to use it. I have tried a few piccies of the kitchen and tree and lights but my red lights come out white on the camera with a red glow around them.

Oh loved his new shoes and Highland Park whiskey. When I went into the uti room he still had some left from two years ago, nearly half a bottle and he did'nt know. Needless to say we had a glass last night. We had dinner and filled ourselves up so much that I did'nt do anything later. Oh helped himself to some cold sausage and I went and had a sleep as my tummy was grumbling. He said I slept for an hour and a half and woke me because Downton was going to start in a little while. He was very good and did'nt talk in it like he usually does. Only in the adverts.

Just loved that pic of Chester looking at the turkey Jane.

It sounds like you all had a good day yesterday but it is so sad for those who lost people around this time of the year.

It was dull and mizzley yesterday and is about the same today.

KIm ,I have dusted the wine rack now ;-) ;-) ;-).Trust a man to notice lol :-P
Sorry to hear about your friend's SIL.Oh dear,it is a horrible time to lose somebody.

I think a bit of tidying up is in order this morning(just a bit)
No cooking today(horray),unlees I heat up a savoury tart or somesuch.
See you all in a bit .
