Me bossy Frank?? I use gentle persuasion ......with on a bit of 'boot' thrown in!! lol :-D :-D :-D He only started checking the mousetraps in the loft regularly after he was nearly ill with the smell when he found one that was going bad in the trap. I'd been asking him to look for ages too, but he kept saying 'tomorrow!! lol. He hasn't since. :-D :-D

Frank ,I thought some had left a light on downstairs last night as I woke up about 3am and saw a light reflection through the curtain,but it was the moon.It then kept me awake :-S :-S
Janice and Larry are here and just trying to sort out some photos on Chris's pooter which they want printed off.Their printer has packed up.

Ann I was getting soapy/scum marks all over the clothes in my machine when it was stinky the other week.But after giving it a good couple of do's it seems to be alright (at the moment)

Janice has opened her pressie lol.Oh we did have a laugh.Larry had to blow it up with some pump thing in his car.It took ages .So the zimmer was a success.Have got a couple of snaps ;-) ;-)
Now Fitz has arrived to see Janice and to buy my fridge :-D
It has been sat in the front lobby /porch for a few weeks now ,so I will be glad to see the back of it.

What a frosty start to the day , had to take it easy on the road to see Santa as it was mostly back roads we had to travel on , the little ones were good as gold and couldn't wait to see Santa ,i think he was the nicest Santa we've ever seen, he had lots to say to the little ones ,they thought he was funny when he asked what they would be leaving out for him and the reindeer ,Jake said a mince pie and he said only one !!! what about a box!!! he patted his tummy and said i have to keep this full!!!!
We wondered if Katie would have been frightened of him ,he asked her if she would like a present and she just nodded her head , bless her she couldn't keep her eyes off him .

Pat ,thanks for your card it came this morning another glittery one to add to the others .

Ann, love the bracelet and the tree ornaments ,the fairy is very good ,amazing what you can make with a little wire and a few beads .

Jane, the squirrel photo is good , you were lucky to get it ,they move so quick when they see you .

Lovely pic of the children Mandy. Chelsea and Jake have lovely smiles and Katie (a bit overwhelmed) has a cute little rosebud mouth.....reminds me of one of my dolls. I don't know about a box of mince pies.......that Santa's big beard would make it hard to find the entrance for just one! He had plenty of toy sacks didn't he.

Ah well, back to sorting drawers now I've had a cuppa.

He was a good Santa Ann, and hubby knew him lol he worked at a house and this Santa lived next door !!! .....and no hubby hasn't worked at the North Pole LOL

She is at a very 'independent minded' age isn't she. lol Mind you, I skidaddle when I see OH waving a camera. Fancy your OH knowing Santa!!

Well, I've started on the make up drawer now! I seem to have 2 of a few things. :-S I don't wear much, but you wouldn't know it if you saw all the old bottles, so am chucking them out with the lippys that looked good till I got them home!! lol Oh, I am a busy bee!!! :-D

Evening All

Not been feeling all that good today, went out with friends for dinner last night, and had Brusheta as a main meal & a small ice cream, as the main courses are to big for me to eat.
came home and was fine, then woke up about 2 am and had heartburn and a terrible thirst, after taking Gavis*on and drinking 2 glasses of water, managed to get back to sleep, but woke up this morning still thirsty and a headache, been drinking lots of fluid all day , (Must have been dehydrated)

I think the Brusheta must have been highly seasoned with salt, or the motzerella cheese was to strong for my digestion since my operation. but I have been feeling queezy all day,
I am feeling a lot better now and hope to have my dinner tonight,

great pics of you grandchildren , Mandy ,it's a shame these days that Santa can not be in contact with the child in any way.

LOL Jane, I see she is practising already. I like her tigertail necklace. Your fireplace looks very festive and nice with the real fire. Is that some new paint on the chimney breast since I saw you or was I blind and didn't notice? I did smile when I saw you know who had got himself in the pic!!! :-D :-D

Sorry you haven't been well Fiona. I suppose you probably ate later than you usually do and if there was olive oil on the bruschetta it could have been a bit fatty for you with the cheese and then icecream. Glad you are feeling better now and more like having your dinner.

Well Janice and Larry have just gone.I hope they have a safe drive back to Tewkesbury.We have had just the best day.Janice and I have had so many laughs.She had a big talk with Fitz telling him he has been a silly billy not filling in his forms for attendance allowance(she helps people every week doing that).and said if he needs any help doing it just to ring her.
I think she is worried about having her Knee op and being stir crazy for the 3 months recovery.One good thing is that being an Occupational Therapists Assistant is she knows and can get what equipment that will help her to make life easier when she goes home.
We had a lovely meal (she has taken the recipe) :-D(that's a first)

BIL has had both knees done ,the last one he had done has gone out some how ,he went for an x ray last week ,now he's waiting to see the surgeon to see what can be done , i expect it means having it done again!!!

What did you cook Jane? must have been some thing nice if Janice has asked for the recipe.

Fiona ,It will be a bit of try this and that for a while .I'm sure some things may not agree for a time .Trial and error !.It is still early days .

The meal was my Normandy Pork Casserole.Diced Pork,Shallots,onions,celery,lardons,Cider ,Creme Fraiche,(I added some button mushrooms),Chicken stock,and some chopped Tarragon ...oh forgot ..Dijon Mustard.I must admit is is really scrummy.

Ann I think I said Janice likes her Necklaces!.She would love what you make.
I don't think I ever see her without a chunky type of necklace on.

Mandy. Don't think I will mention your BIL's Knee trouble to my Sister :-S

Hi all, I bet you were expecting me an hour ago !!! What with that boy singer then X factor. It will be bed time when I sit down to watch TV.

Have been ordering flowers for Ros's God Mother who lives in the Isle of Man. getting close to 85/90 now. She has been in a home for some time now. Her Daughter lives in Leicester and visits quite often. Her son is in Cuba and comes over two or three times a year.

Made me smile about the simmer frame. When I was 60 I had a bit of a pary, One of the Office girls borrowed her Grans simmer frames and wrapped it up and gave it to me as a present. She had only BORROWED IT. so had to take it back at the end of the evening.

When I had the post office. I was known to all the young Mums, who had children in play school. I was elected to be "FATHER CHRISTMAS" for many years. All the children knew me, so I had to take off my glass's so they wouldn't reconise me. The only trouble was I couldn't read who the present was for on the label, so a mum had to stand by my side and tell me the names !!!

Conrad and Jan called in at 5 pm. Gave us our Christmas card. On it was a little "ROBIN" sitting on a branch, he had to bugger about with it. He showed the robin pooing !!! He will never grow up and he's 42.

That dinner sounded nice Jan. will have to copy that and try it, I suppose it would work with most meats, What do you think.????

Fiona, You were very adventurous with your meal last night, a little less fat next time ME THINKS !!!! Trust you are over it now, I bet it was nice though

Hello all, stormy and overcast here and very muggy now after the rain.

Blood test out of the way yesterday, but usual problem not being able to find a vein. She took it from down near my wrist. Glad that's out of the way. Thank you for your well wishes. They said I can take a DVD to watch while I'm having my scan on Tuesday.

Jane thanks kindly for your photos. Lovely one of you and your sister and Chester's downturned ears, lol. Loved the squirrels too, they are so cute. Told OH about your Normandy Pork. It sounds very tempting - don't know how my tummy would cope :-S

Shirl hope the pain has eased a little. Have you been drinking that jet fuel again?? I'm somewhere over New Zealand at the moment :-D

Ann loved the bracelet and decorations you have made. Don't get up in the loft will you? My friend did that last week to get the tree and decorations and came crashing through the plaster. She is a real mess at the moment with bruises and cuts AND NOT HAPPY WITH HER OH AT ALL, lol.

Pat hope the ankle is healing and Fiona has the tummy settled yet? Christmas will be the test with all that yummy food.

OH made a gluten free Christmas cake last night and the pudding is boiling away at the moment.

Frank how are you today?? Conrad is a lark - that pooping Robin was pretty funny. You must be looking forward to Lewis' visit, busy times ahead.

Sheila I was reading your post to my OH. He thought it was hilarous. Sheep pooping in your car, the dead cat (not that that was funny). I hope Beryl isn't too generous with her money to keep Donnie in toe. That's no relationship at all :-| Your pretty card is drawing lots of attention. Everybody loves it!!!!!

Our neighbours across the road put up a lovely display of Christmas lights on their pool fence. They add a little more each year. The other night a group of drunken morons walked past and pulled them down. We were actually watching from our window as they had woken us up. How's that for Christmas spirit??? Everything had to be taken down and now they just have their inside lights turned on. How sad and stupid an act of vandalism.

Just came on to say hello before going to church, dry this morning but I expect it's cold , I haven't been outside yet, OH and family went down yesterday to buy Christmas tree it's in the back porch till it's gets put up or the back porch comes down one way or another it's there lol.
